Chapter 245 - Master of Dunia Part 2

A good approach.

We would not have to worry of being scarce of manpower when we finally had to challenge the fourth Quintal Trial.

And because of that, all that was left was for us to make the trainees stronger.

I turned my gaze to my office's window.

It allowed me view of the entire third floor, including the training ground where most of the Raid Team and the entire second floor trainees were gathered.

The new 4-stars managed to reach level 9 in just a week.

Master made them frequent the eighth to the twelfth floor five to six times a day, causing the advanced heroes to level up rapidly.

Matrias and Vallerynne also both managed to reach level 10 because of the experience.

They struggled to keep up with the other 4-stars at first.

But once their levels were higher and stats improved, the mages managed to withstand the intense schedule.

"Fight, I say! Fight!"

Ulrica's shout echoed through the window.

The Guntur Near-Kin was sparring against ten sword wielders at once while only using a wooden practice club.

But the huge number and handicap did not make a difference.

The 4-star overwhelmed the 2-star heroes as if they were level 1 goblins.

"Put more strength into your swords! You are frontline warriors! How are you supposed to charge and break through the enemy rank by being this weak!"

I shifted my gaze and saw Djhotti knocking down multiple polearm wielders in one swift motion.

Similar to the Near-Kin, the dwarf was only using a wooden practice staff.

"Your weapon is supposed to be an extension of your body! There is a reason for its length! Make use of the range your weapon offers!"

On another part of the training ground, Graihan was beating some dagger-users as well as parrying a barrage sent by a dozen archers.

All done effortlessly. He did not even use both hands while sparring with the trainees.

"Move your feet! I've seen sloths moved faster than you! And would it kill you to be less predictable in your attacks!"

The 4-stars were five to six levels lower than the 2-star trainees.

But the three higher-ranked heroes managed to overwhelm them all easily.

The difference in status growth and skill proficiency made this outcome possible.

So far, only members of Party 1 could keep up against the 4-stars.

But even Jonah and Shanny could not defeat the 4-stars one on one.

We were truly fortunate to have the advanced heroes arrived to the forged land.

The strength of our army would grow because of their presences.

In about a week, the other 4-stars should be able to find promising individuals among the trainees and recruit them into their parties.

I had informed them of the arrangement I made for Party 3 to 6.

The other 4-stars agreed when I announced their pairings. The 3-stars that got paired with the strong heroes also did not mind.

Ulrica said Guntur warriors were at their strongest when they had a lightning elemental mage in their ranks. So she had been wanting to have Matrias join her party.

We still needed to find other trainees that could develop Lightning Resistance skill to withstand Matrias's spells.

I had planted a lightning pole on one of the third floor training grounds.

It was just a tube of steel which had been casted with lightning runes, making electric current running through it constantly.

Any heroes that would like to develop a resistance toward lightning were welcomed to place their hands on the pole and be electrocuted.

If we could obtain Fire Resistance by being exposed repeatedly to fire, then we should be able to achieve the same with lightning.

Meanwhile, Djhotti had also been wanting to ask Vallerynne to join his party.

Apparently Vallerynne's enchantment worked very well with the dwarf's special skills.

All their party needed left was additional members that could take advantage of Djhotti's strength and Vallerynne's spells.

While Arian was one of the few heroes that could keep up with Graihan's movements.

The Kutub hunter could match the lycanthrope's speed in battle, enabling them to perform combat tactics together.

We needed to find three other people that could do the same.

If things proceeded the way they were doing at the moment, then we should be able to find those people and resume our climb soon.

There was just one thing that bothered me.

[Master 'S1GYN' has formed 'Raid Squad 1' (small).]

[Master 'S1GYN' has assigned Party 1, Party 2, Party 3, Party 4, and Party 5 into 'Raid Squad 1'.]

[Master 'S1GYN' has renamed 'Raid Squad 1' into 'Main Forces'.]

[Master 'S1GYN' has appointed Vice-Master 'Serafina (★★★★)' as the commander of the 'Main Forces'.]

Once I submitted the party assignments to Master, Sigyn immediately assigned Party 1 to 5 into a single group called the 'Main Forces'.

The fairy said the raid squad was a way for Master to manage all their parties and encouraged them to work together in battle.

Parties in a raid squad together were supposed to cooperate well with one another once they were deployed in a trial together.

The Quintal Trials had not required five parties so far.

But we knew it was a high possibility.

The grouping was not what was bothering me.

It was rather the name.

Main Forces.

That suggested there would be a secondary unit.

And when I was wondering about it, Master gave me a hint of an answer.

[Master 'S1GYN' has renamed Lodging I Lv.5 (3rd Floor) into 'Main Forces Accommodation'.]

[Master 'S1GYN' has renamed Lodging II Lv.5 (3rd Floor) into 'Reserve Forces Accommodation'.]

Yesterday evening, Master expanded the third floor of the lobby.

They added another mansion. It was slightly bigger than the one where the Raid Team was currently staying in.

And Master also added several vast training grounds around the new accommodation.

They were larger than the training grounds reserved exclusively for the parties of the Raid Team.

As if they were meant to be used by many parties instead of just one. A public facility.

Main Forces and Reserve Forces.

What exactly was Master trying to do by establishing these two groups.

Were the Reserve Forces simply backup parties that Master prepared in the lobby in case the Main Forces were wiped out?

That would be the most logical reason.

But Master was assigning their most powerful parties in the Main Forces.

Party 1 to 5. All the 4-star heroes the lobby had, the strongest members in the forged land at the moment, were in that particular squad.

If I were Master and I wanted to anticipate the Main Forces getting wiped out, I would assign half of the 4-stars into the Reserve Forces.

That way we would not suffer too heavy of a loss if one side was annihilated.

What a mystery.

The unbalanced assignment would make sense if Master obtained more 4-star heroes for their army.

Shing!!!

Suddenly a bright light pierced through my window.

The light emanated from the second floor of the lobby.

It came from the advanced summoning chamber.

[Master, starting 10-consecutive Advanced Summoning!]

[I'm excited to see what heroes will appear!]

[DRRRRRR…]
