Another week passed by preparing for the climb continuation.
Master and I spent that time complementing the ranks of Party 3 to 11.
The 4-stars had finally recruited talented second floor trainees that they deemed strong enough to join their parties.
The 3-star newcomers had also been assigned to fixed parties according to Sigyn's directives. They were also accompanied by competent second floor trainees that the advanced heroes could work well with.
We used the last seven days making these new parties frequent the eleventh and the twelfth floors to ensure they were certain of the members' appointment.
Today I just received the confirmation from the last three parties that they wanted to make their member arrangement permanent.
With that, I had finished Sigyn's order to appoint members for Party 3 to 11 according to their directives.
Members of Party 3, 4, and 5 had all been assigned to stay on the Main Forces Accommodation on the third floor of the lobby. Since the 4-stars had already been living there.
Master had also assigned all members of Party 6 to 11 to the Reserve Forces Accommodation on the third floor of the lobby.
Considering their parties were consisted of level 15 2-star trainees and, at least, level 10 3-star heroes, they definitely were stronger than the pure 2-star combinations on the second floor.
The nine newly-formed parties were all now part of the Raid Team. Officially part of the climb effort.
Even so, Master still assigned Party 6 to 11 to the lodging for the Reserve Forces. A raid squad composed of only 3-star and 2-star heroes.
I still could not help but wonder why would Sigyn distribute our strength this way.
All the 4-star heroes we had were assigned to Party 1 to 5, which belonged to the Main Forces.
We might increase the chance of victory by having our strongest heroes in the same squad together.
But, in terms of the climb as a whole, it was too risky dividing our forces in this manner.
At least two of the 4-star parties should be on the Reserve Forces if we wanted to anticipate the Main Forces getting annihilated.
If we kept going with this arrangement, should the worst occur and Party 1 to 5 were annihilated in a Quintal Trial together, then the Raid Team would only be left with 3-star and 2-star heroes.
We never knew how dangerous the Quintal Trial could be. And we never knew how long Sigyn's luck in summoning powerful heroes would last.
Master should manage their army carefully if they wanted us to reach the top of the tower.
I actually already had another assumption as to why Master divided us this way.
An explanation that would make the arrangement make sense.
However, I was not certain if Sigyn was that…resourceful.
At any rate, all those new parties now would be frequenting the thirteenth and the fourteenth floor together so they could improve the compatibilities between their members.
Considering most of the second floor trainees had already been going to those floors, it would not take much time for those parties to train their teamwork and make the advanced heroes level up enough.
All eleven parties of the Raid Team would be ready to climb toward the twentieth floor together.
Though Sigyn apparently intended to have more of their forces in the climb as well.
[Master 'S1GYN' is ordering Vice-Master 'Serafina (★★★★)' to form the following parties with the designated pool of heroes.]
[Designated Parties: Party 12, Party 13, Party 14, Party 15, Party 16, Party 17, Party 18, Party 19, Party 20]
[Heroes: All heroes assigned to the Training Ground Lv.5 (2nd Floor)]
[Directive 1: Party member assignment based on the highest compatibility between heroes]
[Directive 2: Party arrangement begins from the lowest assignment number to the highest.]
[Directive 2.1: Order of party arrangement begins from the member combination with the highest status value sum and the highest average of skill level to the member combination with the lowest status value sum and the lowest average of skill level.]
Sigyn delivered another order to me.
They were basically asking me to officially form the vacant Party 12 to 20 with the second floor trainees that were not assigned to the Raid Team yet.
Master wanted us to find the nine strongest parties among the second floor trainees and put them in order from Party 12.
Even after a good number of the second floor trainees were absorbed to Party 3 to 11, we could still make at least thirteen parties from the remaining trainees.
Each week, we kept receiving a steady supply of fresh 2-star trainees from the first floor because of the functional academy.
We should still have competent heroes filling those ranks.
At the very least, Party 12 to 20 would be composed of the best of the leftover trainees that failed to be recognized by the advanced heroes.
I already relayed the command to the second floor trainees.
Sigyn had also delivered an order to the administrators to transfer members of Party 12 to 20 from the second floor lodging to the fancier Reserve Forces lodging on the third floor.
When the trainees heard of that order, they were very eager to be appointed by Master.
The existing climbing parties from Party 21 and beyond had been disbanded because most of their members had been reassigned to the Main and the Reserve Forces, or had been appointed as the instructor candidates.
So the second floor trainees would need to reorganize themselves.
We would need a way to properly gauge the strength and teamwork of the new parties since they would only be consisted of 2-star heroes.
And that was why I already decided Party 12 to 20 would be officially assigned to parties which all of their members had reached at least level 5 in weapon skill, and had reached level 16 in general.
In other words, parties that had clear a trial post-fifteenth floor.
Only by fulfilling those requirements the parties would be considered decent enough to join the Raid Team, even if it was only the Reserve Forces.
Naturally, the first party that fulfilled the requirement would be considered the strongest among the remaining second floor trainees, and would be assigned to a party with the smallest assignment number.
We would be fulfilling Sigyn's orders this way.
All in all, we would have twenty complete parties in the Raid Team soon.
It all depended on when Sigyn would resume our climb.
I expected we would continue climbing any day now.
Party 3 to 11 would not take long frequenting the thirteenth and the fourteenth floors.
They would soon be ready to challenge the sixteenth floor and above along with Party 1.
Party 2 would also be ready to continue climbing once they returned too, which I expected in under a week.
I supposed all we could do at the moment was to prepare and wait cautiously.
We never knew what sort of challenge was awaiting us at the fourth Quintal Trial.
Best we used all the extra time we had to ready ourselves for the twentieth floor.
We did not want to have any regrets, after all.
