Chapter 3 - Cassy's regret & 20,000 dollars payback

The students stared in awe at the person walking into the school with a fancy suit, staring at his face to recognize it.

The suit they were all looking at—none of them would ever know that it was a borrowed suit.

Solomon walked into the school nonchalantly, not caring about the gaze of the students on him.

"Host, you look hot for sure," the system swayed.

Solomon twitched his lips. "I'm not here to be hot for anybody."

Solomon's short response made the system keep quiet, and Solomon silently clutching his backpack walked to his locker to keep his bag, until a group of people—he felt them behind him.

Solomon turned, raising his brow at the group of people. He recognized them.

They were students of the elite class, and their families were from the B to A class area.

These guys normally liked to come and misbehave with him when he was with Cassy, a D-class school beauty. But Cassy had already dumped him—what was it that they wanted?

Solomon thought in his heart as if he was just reflecting on the memory of a side character.

"Hey Solomon, you're still alive?"

The tall one with a tattoo and curly elegant blonde hair was Alex, the leader of the elite students. He was very disgusting as hell.

Solomon didn't want to get close to these guys.

"Yes, I'm still alive," Solomon shortly replied, closing his locker after he had kept his backpack, bringing out the textbook he had wanted to bring.

"You are still alive and Cassy already got a new man.

Were you cuckolded or something?"

Alex said, his grin sounding like he was just hearing the news, but the evil smirk on his face showed everything.

Solomon only narrowed his eyes.

"What do you want?"

Class is starting by 8—that was the only thought on Solomon's mind.

"Look who got rejected by the D-class school goddess," Alex laughed, turning to his minion, and they both laughed along with him.

Solomon gave them a look as if they were all a joke.

They were totally a joke in his eyes right now. They looked like kids.

But why was his blood rushing to his head?

Greengrass on your head.. green grass you were cheated on—the word boomed in his head.

He wanted to break some heads… but he wasn't ready for the suspension that wouldn't let him go to school anymore.

[System alert:

Make Alex and his minions pay for the mockery that they have made of you

$20,000 cashback

Mission failure: Get thrown out of the school forever]

"Child of Lucifer," Solomon twitched his lips. Was the system here to be his helper or enemy?

Was it that hard to make good money? The reward was huge and the consequences were high.

"Hey Alex," Solomon smiled and suddenly said to Alex…

What possible way could he get revenge on Alex if not by making him face the same mockery he just gave him?

"Cassy once said that she had a crush on you but she's not worthy."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Cassy is right behind you,"

Solomon smirked, pointing behind him…

Alex then immediately turned and saw Cassy standing over there.

He smiled like a fool, going to hold her hand.

"Goddess, you really like me, you want to be together with me?"

He caught Cassy's hand, dropping kisses on them, and Cassy flung him away from her—as calculated by Solomon.

The system rang in his mind:

[Mission complete!

$20,000 cash received]

"Damn it, host, why did you make it seem like my missions are too useless? An average person, with their way of calculating it, would take time—dozens of times—before they figure out this."

"So you admit that you dug a hole for me?"

Solomon gritted his teeth and answered the system.

This guy was his worst enemy, honestly. When the system dropped the mission, he thought it was difficult. He almost panicked but decided to take a deep breath and just look at the situation from his side…

What is the meaning of revenge and its purpose? It's basically to pay back people for the wrong they have done to you, either ten folds or the same.

The little push that Cassy gave Alex had crashed his morale, and Alex might come any moment to insult him. He must be burning with anger now.

Solomon thought about all this with a neutral expression.

"You will pay for this," Alex got up from the floor, dusting his butt,

Refusing to even look at Cassy before dashing out.

"It seems I'm in trouble because of the system," Solomon accused, watching Alex's departing figure.

"Solomon, you are here?"

Cassy glanced at Solomon, first shocked by how handsome-looking he appeared, then she hid her awe and sneered:

"Pathetic. You think getting into a suit like a clown would impress me?"

"Are you nuts!?"

Solomon smiled, looking at Cassy. She was left speechless, not able to respond to Solomon's direct words.

"Excuse me, what?"

"Excuse me, shall I complete what I did not finish the other day?

Where is the scalpel in my pocket?"

Solomon searched his pocket, a single eye focusing on Cassy.

Cassy covered her mouth and shrieked, fleeing from his presence in fright.

"Damn, bh,"* Solomon's mouth was poisonous, but his eyes looked sadly at her departing figure.

The bell rang. Class started. Solomon smoothed his hair and walked slowly into the classroom, leaving the school hallway behind…

This place—it was the place where he thought it would lead him to being a good D-class person who could provide for his family…but things had gotten complicated…

Since the day he almost got killed, his goal had changed…

His heart had changed.

"Students, your assignments please."

The class got up at the teacher's words to submit their assignments. Solomon did the same, getting up from his seat to submit his own.

He went to the teacher's desk; he kept his work on the desk, but the teacher shifted his book aside, making it land on the floor. Solomon calmly picked it up and dropped it on the table.

The teacher intentionally moved his book aside again. Solomon bent down to pick it up and place it back.

The third time, Solomon glanced at the teacher.

Beads of sweat dropped on his forehead.

He had to say, "Solomon, you are wasting other students' time. Get out of the line."

"Yes, teacher." Solomon cleared his throat, walking out of the line since he had submitted his work.

At the school, the teachers down-process students' work, but their personal AI assistants do the marking.

The marking didn't take long; the teacher walked in with the students' papers within 30 minutes.

All students' names were called; each one of them came to pick up their book.

But when it got to Solomon, it was a different case.

"Solomon Luckson, please come to the podium."

Adjusting his suit, Solomon stepped outside…

The class eyes were on him and the teacher.

"Solomon Luckson, you plagiarised a student's work."

"What?" Solomon smiled, not reaching his eyes.

The teacher stammered, "I said you plagiarised, and plagiarism means instant expulsion."

"I'll prove myself innocent."

Solomon stated without blinking an eye…

Or asking.

He knows that's not how the school system works. Someone must be targeting him—who else if not Cassy's sugar daddy?

---

[Host, new mission:

Prove your innocence. Gain 1x reputation point and $5,000 cashback.]

---

"You're stealing my lines, System."

"You are the one receiving money here!"

The system wasn't so happy with how Solomon judged it.

Solomon ignored it, focusing on the trouble at hand.

"I would like to plead innocent. By this, please check the CCTV footage of the hallway.

And if you don't believe me, please let us rewrite the test."

Solomon saluted, his hands clasped with a sincere expression.

The teacher looked at him with burning rage. What could they say? There were 200+ students looking at them.

What would the reputation of the school be if they refused to let someone prove themselves innocent?

Solomon smirked, knowing there was no way the teacher could reject his request.

And the CCTV footage was destroyed—but the people had missed one.

---

The students and teacher all filed into the footage room. After checking the footage,

nothing was found, and they all looked at Solomon with condemnation.

Solomon smiled—there was still one footage left.

Solomon approached the computer and pressed some keys, showing the footage that no one had seen.

On the screen, they all saw the said elite student picking his locker and taking out his papers to scan.

The students all glanced at Solomon.

He wasn't lying, he'd been telling the truth.

The teachers stood awkwardly with nothing to say.

"Well Solomon, we have misunderstood you," they fake laughed, amongst themselves

"Humans make mistakes."

Solomon words shut at them stoping their laughter.

---

"Mission completed

+1x popularity

$5k credit alert

Wallet total: (locked for the time being, host can't see his balance)"

---

"Host, are you normal? Why would you put a CCTV camera in the school?"

"To watch out for myself."

Why? Solomon thought. He valued the content of his locker so much, and he doesn't play with it. Today, it turned out to be helpful.

"That CCTV camera—does it belong to the school?"

A teacher who had noticed something asked.

"Well, no," Solomon said.

The teacher gritted his teeth—that's why his plans had failed.

"Remove that camera now," he said, raising his voice, mashing his teeth.

"Ok," Solomon shrugged.

Stepping out, leaving the students and teachers.
