Chapter 2 - SILENT TERAS

|Ethan|

"Yes!" Ethan shouted as he finally cracked the deal. He had done it. The deal was sealed. Years of struggle, sleepless nights, and sacrifices had finally paid off.

He spun around in his chair, grinning wide. "I did it! I fucking did it…" he said, looking at Natalia who was already watching him with proud eyes.

The company Whipped Wonders has already one of the top 50 company of country and Ethan is sure after collating his company will be 1 within few years.

"Congratulations, Mr. CEO," she said playfully as she walked toward him, swaying her hips with every step. He had seen her boss presenting with such a meticulous way and it impressed her.

Natalia joined the company when it was not that big but within a few years Ethan took the company to a new level and it impressed her, his work, his dedication, his talent was amazing, Natalia always wanted to have a educated, classy, handsome rich husband and when she saw him all these years her idea of ideal man become Ethan.

And when Ethan had also showed interested in her , she didn't want to lose the opportunity to have him though she knew he was married but when her husband have no problem with that then why she had problem.

It's not like they will marry each other, it's just a fling.

But before she could say more, Ethan pulled her into his arms with excitement. "Remember what I promised you?" he whispered, voice low and full of heat. "I said once I crack the deal… I'll make you scream my name."

Natalia giggled as his lips crashed onto hers, wild and urgent. He kissed her deeply, their bodies pressing together. She didn't resist. In fact, she welcomed it, her hands already working through the buttons of his shirt.

They moved like they had done this a hundred times, full of hunger and secrecy. For Ethan, it felt like a reward after everything he had fought for. He wasn't thinking of right or wrong—only the thrill.

But then—ring ring—his phone buzzed.

He paused, breathless, and glanced at the screen. Ava.

Her smiling face filled the screen, the photo she had taken during their anniversary trip. His body froze for a second, guilt punching him in the chest.

"Who is it?" Natalia asked softly, sensing the shift in his mood.

He didn't answer. The phone stopped ringing… and then buzzed again. Ava—again.

"Is something wrong?" she asked again, brushing her fingers along his jaw as he leaned to kiss him.

Ethan sighed, frustrated. He turned the phone over and put it on silent. "It's nothing, Not important." he said.

Natalia gave him a teasing look. "You sure? You looked like you saw a ghost."

"I said it's nothing," Ethan repeated, trying to brush it off. "Let's not ruin the moment. I really want a good fuck right now." With that he pulled her pant and thrust his entire length into her making her gasp for air and fucked her raw and wild.

|Ava|

Ava looked at the clock again. 10:03 PM.

Ethan still wasn't home.

Her fingers trembled as she held her phone, her chest tight with anxiety. She had called him fifteen times. Not once did he answer. Each call going straight to voicemail made her heart break a little more.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she sat silently on the couch, hugging a pillow to her chest like it was the only thing left in her life. Her whole body was shaking, not from the cold—but from the pain.

She slowly walked to the mirror, and when she looked at her reflection, she couldn't recognize herself.

Her eyes were puffy and lifeless.

Her nose was red from crying.

Her hair was a tangled mess.

Her face had lost its glow, and she looked much thinner than before.

"No wonder he doesn't want me anymore," she whispered, her voice hoarse. "Who would want… this?"

She tried to smile. Just once. Just to see if she could look okay. But the smile didn't come—it only brought more tears.

She wiped her cheeks again and again, but her eyes just filled up once more, as if her heart had a never-ending river of pain.

Finally, she collapsed on the floor, crying loudly, hugging her knees to her chest. Her head pounded. Her throat felt dry. Her stomach ached from crying too much.

"Why, Ethan?" she sobbed. "Why did you do this to me?"

She sat like that for a while, broken and tired. Then slowly, like a lost child, she got up and looked for her phone.

She scrolled through her contacts.

Stopped at one name: Dad.

Her heart squeezed painfully.

It had been years since she last talked to her father, Richard. He had cut all ties with her the day she chose to marry Ethan.

He had warned her.

Begged her.

Told her Ethan wasn't right for her.

But she didn't listen.

She chose love over everything… and lost everything.

Ava's fingers hesitated, but she pressed the dial button anyway.

One ring… two… three… click.

Someone picked up.

"Hello?"

It wasn't Richard's voice.

It was Liliana, her stepmother.

Ava's heart dropped. She couldn't breathe.

She couldn't speak.

She hung up quickly, her hands shaking.

"Why did I even try…?" she whispered to herself, as more tears came.

All she wanted was to hear her dad's voice.

To feel like a daughter again.

To run into his arms, cry on his shoulder, and say:

"I'm sorry, Dad. I was wrong. Please… just once, hold me like before."

But even that was too much to ask.

Alone in the dark, in a quiet house that once felt like a home, Ava curled up on the floor near the mirror.

The same mirror that showed her everything she didn't want to see.
