Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Conversation

When Sunny woke up the next morning, Cassie was lying next to him with a peaceful expression on her face.

In the light, you could tell just how beautiful she was. Her golden hair cascaded across his chest and the bed, sparkling in the light.

Suny had woken up due to Happy warning him of something. As he looked through the shadows, he saw Instructor Rock standing outside his room.

'Damnation!'

He knew they were loud last night but hoped it would not matter much, turns out, it would.

Sunny shook Cassie gently to wake her up.

"Good morning."

Cassie looked a little out of it before a beautiful smile crossed her face.

"Good morning."

Sunny told her about Rock and that he would handle it as best he could.

Cassie was a little embarrassed to know that people heard her last night, but Sunny consoled her.

"You think they wouldn't hear? You were moaning louder than Nightmare creatures' roar."

Cassie became red like a tomato and just turned away.

Sunny laughed and went to take a shower.

Once he was done, Cassie went in and began taking her shower.

'Time to face the music.'

Sunny summoned the [Puppeteer's Shroud], it was still unbuttoned and tied around his waist, but Sunny did not mind.

Sunny opened the door, only to be met with Instructor Rock sitting in a chair, directly in front of the door, drinking coffee.

Sunny smiled.

"Instructor Rock, what can I do for you this morning?"

There were more people in the hall looking at him, likely waiting to see him get chewed out by Rock.

The girls' faces turned pink, the guys' faces contorted into jealousy, Rock meanwhile look at him with an exasperated expression.

"You don't know?"

Sunny smiled wider.

"Not at all."

Rock smirked.

"Well, tell that to your jade white skin."

Sunny looked at himself with the shadows, he looked just like normal, black hair, black eyes, perfect white skin. Except currently it was not perfect, all along his neck and collar bone were round purple and red mark.

Some of them were even noticeably bite marks.

Sunny frowned.

'I'm caught.'

Rock smiled at his reaction.

"Ahh, so you have figured it out."

Sunny just nodded.

"I might know what you are talking about."

Rock laughed.

"Well, it is not exactly against the rules. But next time, keep your voices down. Especially if you are planning to go for eight hours."

Rock turned to leave but quickly shot a remark over his shoulder.

"Also, maybe keep the explicit words to a minimum."

Sunny smirked.

"What, never met a maso before?"

Rock laughed as he walked away.

Sunny quickly glanced around the hallway, he noticed the girls looking at him from head to toe.

Their eyes lingered on his chest, ogling his incredibly defined abs and the hickeys. Their eyes widened when they saw the four large scars marring his skin. They did not look ugly, if anything, they gave him a rugged allure.

The guys looked at him with murder and hatred in their eyes.

Sunny felt full of himself and shot a nearby guy a smirk, he was standing next to a girl that was clearly liking what she was seeing instead of talking to him.

The guy's eyes twitched as his face turned red.

Sunny just chuckled to himself and shut the door.

He had taken last night to have fun, and Cassie was currently in the shower. So, he would have to get breakfast today.

He just waited for a few minutes then rebuttoned the top half of his armor and walked out of the door, making his way to the cafeteria.

On his way, people shot him lots of looks. When he first left his room, they were looking because they heard last night. But as he got farther from his room, people started looking at him because it was the first time he was seen since the start of classes.

Girls gossiped, guys stared in hatred, but most just watched him pass.

When he entered the cafeteria, the looks turned from just passing glances to full on stares.

On the far side of the room, a tall girl with silver hair sat eating silently. She only looked up due to the nearby gossip.

When her eyes landed on Sunny, she grimaced.

All on his neck, just the part visible above the neckline of the [Puppeteer's Shroud], were multiple marks. Bites, and hickeys lined his throat.

She was not usually a jealous person, but now that she remembered Sunny. She wanted nothing more than to kiss him, hug him, have sex with him.

Right as she thought this, the same group of girls from yesterday started to talk.

"I live a few rooms down from him and I heard it!"

"Really, was it that loud?"

"Yea, she was screaming. Halfway through she started to..."

Her face turned red as she thought about the things she heard.

"Come on, tell us!"

She reddened.

"She started to beg him to smack her ass... and... fuck her harder..."

The girls' faces reddened.

"Wh-what else..."

The girl gulped.

"She was begging him for thinks like pulling her hair, and... fucking her like a good bitch..."

The girls' eyes widened.

"Th-those were her exact words?"

The girl nodded.

"This morning when I left my room, Instructor Rock was sitting in front of his door. When he opened the door, he was wearing that strange armor..."

Her face became red as she thought about his body.

The girl next to her spoke.

"It is probably a memory, but what happened!?"

"He opened the door with the top half unbuttoned and tied around his waist. Those marks go a lot farther than his neck... But his body was..."

Her face reached a whole new meaning of blushed.

"What did it look like?!"

The girl who asked this was not even a part of the conversation, she simply wanted to know incredibly badly.

"H-he is very athletic, he has abs, and his skin is perfectly white. Honestly, he was so perfect his body looked like a statue sculpted to be hot. But his chest has four really big scars on it. It looks like a massive bird ripped into him."

Nephis who had been listening in, her face had turned redder and redder.

If one was paying attention to her instead of Sunny and his marks, they would have seen the illustrious Changing Star of the immortal flame blushing deeply.

'S-smack her? A-and... f-fu-fucking her like a bitch...'

Nephis was entirely absorbed in her thought as she imagined Cassie getting dominated by Sunny. Slowly, the image of Cassie shifted to her own image.

She was imagining getting used like a toy, getting smacked and her hair pulled on. Having sunny play with her like he owned her.

She wanted that.

Unseen by everyone, she stood and left the cafeteria not even bothering to put her tray up.

~~~
A few minutes later, Sunny was walking through the halls on his way back to his room.
Most people were already in the cafeteria, so he only saw three people the entire way back.
As he was about to turn a corner, his shadow sense picked up on a familiar shadow just around it.
As her turned the corner, standing about two meters away was Nephis. She had a calm expression on her face, she was clearly waiting on him.
He stopped, waiting for her to move.
Instead of moving, she asked him a simple question that most would not understand, but he did.
"Are you the Sunny I know?"
His face darkened, he was just starting to get over her, and she chose today of all days to talk to him.
"What's it to you?"
She winced at his answer.
"I... I remember everything."
Sunny just shrugged.
"Good for you. Then you know why I don't want to talk to you."
As he tried to walk around her, she continued.
"I remember everything before the third nightmare, the Forgotten shore, living in your house, the ball, Antarctica, the nightmare desert."
Sunny froze in his tracks.
'She... remembers before the nightmare?'
Sunny turned around, his gaze was hopeful.
"I remember everything after that too. I remember our relationship, the longing, being Supreme. I remember killing Ki Song, I remember you killing Anvil."
Sunny's face stopped looking hopeful.
"Then you remember how after I did everything I could to help you achieve your goal, I helped you achieve supremacy using Eurys knowledge, I helped you defeat your enemies. I helped you control all of humanity from the shadows. Do you remember how you rewarded me?"
Nephis gritted her teeth as she looked at him.
"I-I left you in pursuit of my goals, I left you to achieve something higher. I left you... for another man..."
His face contorted into hatred.
"I don't know why you are back with we, maybe Weaver messed up. But what I do know is that you left me like you had so many times in the past. With or without your memories of me, you left me."
Sunny turned away, ready to never speak to her again. But then he heard something he never thought he would.
"I am sorry Sunny. I am sorry for everything, I was a naive child in the start. I only understood myself after the third nightmare, I only understood what love, and longing were after you were gone."
Her voice sounded like she was on the verge of tears.
"I felt like a key piece of myself was missing, I felt lost. Only now that I have grown and remember you do I know how I felt about you. I love you, Sunny."
Sunny flinched under her words. This was something he had wished for, for a very long time. Now that the moment was here, he felt like his mind was being chipped at.
He had tried to leave the feeling he had in the past, he tried to move on with Cassie's help. Then he returned to the past, and Cassie helped him a second time.
Now that he was so close to leaving it behind, she was here. Her words struck the walls he had built like a siege ram. His entire mind quaked.
"I... I want to be with you Sunny, I want to be yours."
As Sunny started to tremble, he whispered.
"I have Cassie."
Nephis looked at him with sorrow, she could not let him slip away.
"I don't care if I am not your only one, but you are my only one Sunny."
Sunny was on the verge of breaking down, he was shivering, and his lips trembled.
He could not do that to Cassie, he could not leave her the second Nephis wanted him back. His resolve was shaken, but he willed himself to still, his expression to harden.
"You can come back to my room, you will have to talk to Cassie there."
Nephis's face showed relief at his words. She did not know how she would convince Cassie to let her into his life, not just as a friend but as a lover.
Cassie did not remember their bond, she did not remember anything about the future. It would be hard to convince her or any other girl to share their lover.
Sunny just started to walk, Nephis following not far behind.
Soon, they were standing outside his room. Nephis wanted to take a second to gather her thoughts, but Sunny had no such plans and just walked in.
"Hey I'm back."
Cassie was standing in the center of the room, she was wearing simple sweatpants and a sports bra. She held the training sword in her hand as she practiced her katas.
"Hey Sunny."
She stopped for a second, taking a few seconds to feel the shadows.
"Who is that with you?"
Sunny smiled.
"Took you too long to realize someone was here."
Cassie huffed.
"It is hard okay. You can't get used to it in a week!"
Sunny chuckled.
"You are right, it took me at least two."
"Hmph, are you gonna tell me who it is?"
Sunny shrugged.
"Her name is Nephis, and it is time to tell you that story."
Cassie looked at him with confusion, then her eyes narrowed as she stopped her training.
Sunny sat a plate of food on the desk as he sat on the bed.
Understanding this was gonna be a long story, Cassie grabbed her food and walked to the bed.
But instead of sitting next to him, she sat near the head of the bed with her legs over his. She did not have any sort of expression on her face, but her intentions were clear.
She was saying 'You already left this, don't get any funny ideas!'.
Nephis did not have any reaction, at least none that most people would pick up on. But Sunny could see the slight frown on her face.
Nephis chose to sit in the desk chair.
Sunny was already eating, so he just ignored their antics while he stuffed his face. They sat in awkward silence as the two ate, only when Sunny was entirely done with his food did, he speak.
"This is gonna be a long conversation, some of it will be unbelievable to you Cassie. Most of it will be entirely crazy, but like I already told you. I cannot lie, so everything I am about to say is the truth."
Cassie sat her plate down as she turned to him.
Her face was a little tense like she was about to hear something she would hate.
Sunny nodded to her.
'You know she can't see you nod anymore, right?'
Nephis was confused about how she knew that she was there. She was also confused about how she was managing to train without breaking something or hurting herself.
Sunny took a deep breath and began to speak.
"This coming winter solstice is not going to be my first time in the dream realm. I have been there numurous times in the past... well actually the future."
Cassie was confused, she frowned as her brows furrowed.
Sunny continued.
"You can see my attribute names, yes?"
Cassie seemed shocked.
"Yea, how did you know that? I only told you about my prophetic visions, not my Dormant ability."
Sunny smiled.
"Can you read what you see out loud?"
Cassie seemed to space out for a second as she looked at his attributes.
"God of Shadows, Divine Aura, Jade Shell, Fateless, The Weave, Spell Bound, Unchained, Shadow Spawned."
Sunny was surprised by the first one.
He immediately looked at his runes.
[God of Shadows] Attribute Description: [You are the child of Shadow God, he has bestowed his authority apon you. All shadows follow your commands, regardless of power. You are able to slip into a shadow and appear from another in an instant.]
[Shadow God] Attribute Traits: [Shadow Step], [Leader], [Lonely], [Unmoving], [Challenger], [Willed]
Sunny was taken aback, but he was in the middle of something, so he had to be quick.
[Shadow Step] Trait Description: [You are able to merge into the shadows, traveling between one to another in an instant. You can also simply travel through them uninterrupted.]
[Leader] Trait Description: [All shadows follow your commands, only living shadows will not follow your commands.]
[Lonely] Trait Description: [Your loneliness is amplified, you require partners and seek physical connection. Your drive for connection is unyielding.]
[Unmoving] Trait Description: [Your values and mind won't be moved. You do not take orders from anyone, you enforce your will apon others uncompromisingly.]
[Challenger] Trait Description: [You do not except rules or leaders, you challenge any and all limits that stand in your way.]
[Willed] Trait Description: [You are strong willed, your true emotions and tendencies cannot be hidden.]
'This is why I suddenly became a sadist.'
Sunny was not complaining, actually it opened his eyes to a whole new world. He was now a sadist tried and true, he could not go back to lovey-dovey stuff.
If he was honest, which he was. He loved being in control of Cassie's petite, little body. The way he used her as she begged him for more, it was incredibly hot and made him go crazy.
The [Willed] trait was likely the culprit for his sudden change, but Sunny was all for it.
Nephis was taken aback by his runes, the last time she saw his runes was just before the fight with the Defiled Seeker of Truth. He only had six, and almost none of the ones he has now.
The only one that sounded familiar was Jade Shell, which she guessed was an evolved version of Marble Shell.
'How does he have the Attributes from the future?'
She was confused why he looked the same as his Supreme visage, and why he still possessed his attributes.
Before she could ask, Sunny spoke.
"The attribute called The Weave is the legacy of one of the Daemons, Weaver the Daemon of Fate. His lineage was split into seven parts, blood, bone, flesh, mind, spirit, soul, and shadow."
Cassie looked shocked by this, she had heard a little about the Daemons but did not know much. All she knew was that they were like gods.
"I gathered all the pieces. When I found the last one, Flesh Weave, I lost the individual Attributes and was given a single, more powerful Attribute."
He took a breath.
"But, instead of continuing my life from there, The Spell spoke to me. I had lost the spell during my third nightmare, a Cursed Terror stole my fate and connection to it. More than that, it stole my existence. Everyone forgot I existed and were unable to retain the knowledge of me existing if I told them. Everyone and everything forgot about me."
Cassie and Nephis both seemed amazed by his words.
Nephis knew something had happened to him, something that led him to losing his fate. But for a Cursed terror to have stolen it, and with it, his connection to the spell. That was beyond expectation.
Cassie was simply shocked.
She had never even heard of a Cursed creature, simply for the fact that if someone met one, they never lived to tell the tale.
This was not the biggest detail to her though.
'He was a Saint in the future! The cream of the crop, the heroes of humanity!'
Her jaw almost dropped, but Sunny was not done.
"Anyways, when the spell spoke to me for the first time in years, it was not just telling me something like announcing my kills or telling me about an attribute. It was conversing with me."
Their faces became even more shocked.
"My Attribute [Spell Bound], allows me to converse with The Spell. It is actually a pretty curious girl."
[I am not a girl. I do not have a gender.]
'Yea yea, you sound like a girl, so I am gonna call you a girl.'
[But I am not?]
'You are now.'
Sunny thought he heard a 'hmph', but he dismissed it.
Now they were really taken aback, Nephis especially.
She had spent most of her life trying to destroy it, now, she was being told by the man she loved that he could speak with it.
She was about to ask him to speak to it for her, but before she could he turned to her.
"No. I will not."
Nephis immediately frowned, her eyes turning accusing. She was about to argue with him, yell at him.
As her entire demeanor changed, his eyes darkened to an unbelievable degree.
"I said no."
It was a simple answer, his voice was low and steady. But Nephis felt something different in him, she felt small in front of him. Not in height or size, but in spirit.
She had always been the one in control of their relationship, had always been the one holding the reigns. But the Sunny that followed her orders was gone, especially after last night.
His time with Cassie had cemented his new Attribute into his mind and body, he was not going to follow her rhythm anymore.
She immediately stopped.
The tone of his voice and the look in his eyes was something Nephis had never seen. She knew that he was not going to entertain her outburst or even hear her out.
'Why is he like this?'
She had never seen him be so... firm.
He simply brushed it off and continued speaking.
"When the spell spoke to me, it told me that Weaver had seen my life in his visions. It told me he left me a gift because he saw my struggles and wanted me to succeed before I tried to fullfill his goals for me."
They looked at him, waiting for him to explain.
However, he did not know what exactly Weaver wanted him to do either. He would cross that bridge when he got there.
"The Spell told me his gift was a second chance. Weaver would go against his longtime ally, Fate, and rip me from the string of the future, and return me to a previous point in the tapestry."
Cassie looked a little confused, and also shocked. He had gone back in time, using the help of a Daemon. Which he was the heir of?
It was all so much.
Nephis was confused too. Why would she be sent back with him?
But more importantly, why did his attributes change while hers stayed the same. She was starting to think that his attributes were just the tip of the iceberg.
"I came to in my first nightmare, I was much different than before though. I was stripped of my aspect and abilities, but my attributes stayed. I even got a few new ones."
Nephis was going to ask about what he did differently, but he spoke over her.
"Instead of playing the passive roll I did last time, I killed multiple Dormant Beasts and a few humans. Later I killed an Awakened swordsman and an awakened Tyrant."
As Cassie's eyes widened, she turned to him with questions in her eyes.
Nephis was more reserved, she had killed a Terror of the same rank in her nightmare. But in her nightmare, she had the aspect Light Bringer, a divine aspect.
From what she knew, Sunny was put into the body of a weak and hurt slave. Not only that, but he had said his aspect was taken away. That meant he killed it without any special abilities.
While they stewed in their thoughts, he just kept on talking. He had not stopped for even a second to let them digest.
For some reason, he felt like it was their fault if they could not keep up. Honestly, he was getting bored of this conversation and just wanted to rip Cassie's clothes off and fuck her again.
This was probably an effect of [Lonely], which made him always crave physical connection. But he could not give in, well, not right now.
"Preformed Shadow Dance in a temple, I was just trying to get my Aspect Legacy back as fast as possible. But Shadow God watched me dance and felt a kinship with me. So, he gave me an upgrade to my powers."
Sunny was not into this conversation anymore, he was thinking about Cassie's body, so he just started to auto pilot.
"Basically, my Aspect got an evolution past what it would have been. I was supposed to get a Divine Aspect called Shadow Slave. But instead, I got an Aspect of an Unkown rank called Prince of Shadows."
Cassie gasped, Nephis seemed just as surprised.
He, however, could not care less. His mental state was deteriorating by the second. If he was only thinking about Cassie before, now he was itching to ravage her.
This was not at all like Sunny's old self, he was usually reserved and calculative. He still was, but currently, he had bigger issues.
"Honestly, you both know the rest."
He turned to Cassie.
"The girl I told you about was in the future, I met her at roughly the same time as you. We were members of the same cohort, and I loved her, but after I was forgotten, I was lost and traveled the dream realm alone for three years."
His exspression turned darker.
"I learned something that made me return to humanity, and by accident I ended up mixed in with her again. She did not remember our original lives together; it hurt to have the woman I loved not remember me, but I ended up actually getting closer to her than ever before."
Cassie seemed to understand where this was going.
Nephis just tried to keep a stoic expression on her face but failed.
Sunny noticed but did not care, his mind was becoming clouded with need as his gaze traveled over Cassie's body.
"We became lovers, something I had wanted for years. But after only a year, after I helped her achieve her goal, after she used me. She left for a Master, I have not felt the same since."
His gaze turned cold.
"I chose to avoid her now that I am in the past, I chose to befriend you in the academy this time. I wanted to teach you how to use shadow sense and help you become a strong fighter."
He contemplated his words.
"My second Aspect Legacy Relic was supposed to be a drop of Shadow Gods blood. But I got nothing this time, instead, my Lord of Shadows Attribute evolved into God of Shadows."
Sunny was not in the mood to explain anything, so he just read them the runes.
"Word for word it says [God of Shadows] Attribute Description: [You are the child of Shadow God, he has bestowed his authority apon you. All shadows follow your commands, regardless of power. You are able to slip into a shadow and appear from another in an instant.]"
He sighed, this was getting tedious now.
"It basically gave me my previous Awakened Aspect ability and a few other things. It has six traits which are all of relevance. I am just going to read them off."
He called forth the traits and started to read.
"[Shadow God] Attribute Traits: [Shadow Step], [Leader], [Lonely], [Unmoving], [Challenger], [Willed]
[Shadow Step] Trait Description: [You are able to merge into the shadows, traveling between one to another in an instant. You can also simply travel through them uninterrupted.]
[Leader] Trait Description: [All shadows follow your commands, only living shadows will not follow your commands.]
[Lonely] Trait Description: [Your loneliness is amplified, you require partners and seek physical connection. Your drive for connection is unyielding.]
[Unmoving] Trait Description: [Your values and mind won't be moved. You do not take orders from anyone, you enforce your will apon others uncompromisingly.]
[Challenger] Trait Description: [You do not except rules or leaders, you challenge any and all limits that stand in your way.]
[Willed] Trait Description: [You are strong willed and your true emotions and tendencies cannot be hidden.]"
After listing the traits off, many things made sense to both of them.
Cassie was thinking about his [Lonely] trait and his [Willed] trait. They were likely the reason behind the wonderful night they had.
Nephis was thinking about his [Unmoving] and [Challenger] traits.
'So that is why he is so uncompromising.'
It was hard for her to wrap her head around the fact that Sunny could be so grounded and relentless. Honestly the thought scared her. He always had a soft spot for her, but with his new attribute, that would not happen anymore.
Sunny was oblivious to their thoughts. He was seriously contemplating ripping Cassie's clothes of right now.
As Sunny glanced to Nephis, a voice spoke in his mind.
'Why not have both?'
It was similar to how it felt to hear the Sin of Solace's whispers, but this was just a normal intrusive thought.
As his eyes trailed up and down Nephis's body, he was seriously contemplating it.
Before he could pounce on them, he decided to at least finish the conversation.
"That happened right before you kissed me. When you did, I suddenly remembered all the times you were there for me in the past. Not only that, but my body also instantly reacted and all I wanted to do was ravage you. So, I did"
Sunny just took a breath before continuing.
"Well, this morning on the way back to the room, I ran into the girl. She told me that she remembered everything, not just the events after the third nightmare, but everything."
His face did not change as he continued.
"She told me about her feeling, how she was sorry for how she acted after forgetting me. She told me about her mindset and her feeling, about how she only now realized that she loved me combined with her memories of the past and the memories from after the third nightmare. I could not decide what to do before, mainly because I did not want to hurt you like I had been hurt."
He paused before finishing.
"But I cannot hold it back, the way I feel for the two of you is indescribable. Every second longer this conversation takes makes me itch for your touch. To be completely honest, I have been mentally fighting against every inch of my body not to rip your clothes off and ravage you."
Cassie seemed to contemplate some thing.
Nephis just looked at him with a small blush. She did not expect him to say something like that.
'Maybe he had changed more than I thought. There is no way an attribute could affect someone to such a degree.'
She was right, this was simply Sunny influenced by his attribute. He had always been a lustful person, not that he was unable to hide it, combined with his unmoving will and need to project his will onto others.
He was simply a whole new person when it came to these topics.
Cassie was thinking about something else.
'Am I selfish enough to restrict him?'
She was asking herself a simple question.
Was she okay sharing him with others.
She thought about his attribute and its traits. It was specifically tailored to make him seek physical relations. Its wording even said partners, as in more than one.
And Cassie was sure that she could not fill the role of multiple girls. He had thouroughly used her last night, yet only came a total of five times. She had cum over a hundred times.
It was a simple answer.
"I don't have a problem with you having more partners, just inform me first."
Cassie was not going to restrict him, but she was also not gonna let any random woman worm their way into his heart. She had already heard about how he felt being left by that woman.
Cassie turned her head towards the only other person in the room.
She had a feeling, no she was sure this was the girl he was talking about. In any other circumstance, she would have told her no. But she could not do that to him.
Unbeknownst to Cassie, she had already fallen head over heels for Sunny. She would do anything he wanted her to, even let other girls into his life.
Cassie just looked at her for a moment before simply saying.
"If you chose to be his, you are his forever."
Nephis had never seen or heard Cassie say something with such conviction. Unconsciously she nodded.
That motioned sealed her fate.
Sunny's face instantly went from a bored deadpan to a devilish smirk.
His right hand immediately found its way to Cassie's hair, with a tug her pulled her into a deep kiss.
Her face started to turn red as her hands started to touch his back.
He kept pulling her hair as his other hand started to grope her breasts.
Nephis watched this happen with wide eyes.
'W-what are they doing?'
She had never heard of anybody getting their hair pulled and liking it. In short, she did not know what a masochist was.
Currently unknown to anyone in the room, she was about to learn that she herself was a masochist too.
