'i heard from my father that the city lord is going to die soon before he went to sleep'

'Maybe I can sell some time there?'

thinking this, victor went to the city lord's mansion which was in the center of the town.

'time pause'

[Time Paused]

'sneeking around with this is soo easy'

going inside the city lord's mansion, he quickly found the city lord's room, there city lord was alone lying on the bed. he looked pale.. like if a vampire had sucked all the blood out of him.

'Oracle Resume the time.'

[Okay Host]

"tick tock, tick tock, tick tock", sounds like these along with a xylophone music spread across the whole mansion.

immediately several footsteps could be heard outside the door and immediately several people barged in the room.

"Who Are You!? What Are You Doing in City Lord's Mansion! Surrender Right Now or Suffer The Consquences!" Said The Guard.

Victor Sneered Inwardly But Still continues, "Hello! Everyone! Today is Your Lucky Day! Today is the day that your dying city lord will be able to live again! Hahahaha"

"Live Again? What do you mean?" the city lord asked.

"I Can See That You Are About to die Old Man! And You Know why? because I am a time merchant! i can buy and sell time! and today if you wish to live for a few more years, you will need to buy time from me! hehehehe"

"What Nonsense Are you Spouting Boy!! Everyone! Let's Arrest This Kid For Intruding into the city Lord's Mansion!" Said A Guard, And immediately every guard ran towards Victor but suddenly they all froze as if time has stopped.

'Time stop.'

"WHAT?! What did you do to them?" asked Alaric.

"Me? I just stopped time, no big deal," said Victor.

"Oh. Then can you resume it? I don't to live in a world where time is paused," said Alaric.

"Don't worry, I will do it after I leave here. First, tell me, old man, do you want to live longer? I can see you only have one more hour left before you die."

"I see... then you mentioned that you sell time? How much time do you sell, and for what price?"

"I will sell you time for 200 gold coins year," said Victor, grinning.

"Really? Then I want to buy 10 years!" said Alaric.

"Okay, sign this contract, and then you can live for 10 years and one day," said Victor. Immediately, a contract appeared in his hand, which he passed to the city lord. After reading the conditions, the city lord promptly signed the contract and retrieved the payment from the locker next to him. Once Victor finished counting the gold coins, he vanished, and time resumed its flow.

"What Happened My Lord? You Look... Younger? Where is that boy my lord?", asked the startled guard.

he has never seen a person vanish into thin air like this ever before.

"Don't Worry About that person and resume your duties."

Meanwhile Victor Saw the city lord's lifespan from his system.

"Victor! Come and have breakfast with us!" Suddenly, Victor heard his mother's voice.

"Coming, Mother!" Victor replied loudly.

"I will check it out later, but first I need to have some dinner!"

Immediately, Victor got up from his bed, took a bath, and went downstairs to eat. His room was on the first floor while his parents lived on the ground floor.

As soon as Victor entered the dining room, he sat down in his chair and began spreading butter on his bread.

Later in the backyard,

"We need to check your affinity" Ashton said, kneeling beside his son. "Time to see if magic flows in your blood."

Victor's brown eyes lit up.

Ashton chuckled. "Maybe not as flashy, but yes. First, we need to check your core. Every mage has one—it's the place inside where mana gathers."

He reached into his cloak and pulled out a rough, glass-like crystal, wrapped in leather string. Its edges were chipped, and its glow faint, but it was still good enough for this.

"Hold this," Ashton said, placing the crystal in Victor's small hands. "Close your eyes. Breathe slow. Think of warmth in your chest."

Victor obeyed. His breathing slowed. His hands tightened slightly around the Corestone.

Then it began.

A soft pulse.

Then a hum.

The Corestone flared, brighter than it ever had before. Not blue. Not green. Not even purple.

It turned pure white gold, swirling with streaks of silver, crimson, and deep violet—a light that shimmered like time itself.

Ashton's eyes went wide.

"By the gods…"

The air around Victor shifted. Dust rose without wind. The ground trembled lightly beneath his feet. The light pulsed again—calm but limitless.

"This… This isn't just high talent…" Ashton whispered. His voice trembled. "This is a… a Mythic Core."

He fell silent, staring at his son.

Victor opened his eyes slowly. "Dad… was that good?"

Ashton looked at him—shocked, proud, and a little afraid.

"You have no idea, son," he said softly. "You're… something this world hasn't seen in centuries."
