There was nothing more to say about that song.
After careful thought, it felt fine, Cipher said to Polyxia.
Polyxia nodded lightly.
The Land of Dreams, Penacony.
The Reverie Hotel in reality.
Sunday, the Head of the Oak Family, received news about Robin.
Sunday watched the Oak Family member reporting the news via video call, and said with a trembling voice: "You, what did you say? My sister, what happened to her?"
Few things could make Sunday lose his composure, but when it came to his sister Robin, he found it very difficult to maintain self-control. At the same time, he was making various contingency plans for the situation.
"Lord Head, we came to where Miss Robin's spaceship was located. There, we only found traces of them being attacked by the Borisin. From the current situation, Miss Robin was... taken by the Borisin..."
Looking at Sunday's now reddened eyes, the Oak Family member dared not, nor could bear to continue.
But Sunday clearly understood what he meant. He was well aware of how ruthless the Borisin were. His sister falling into their hands—her fate was imaginable.
She could easily be treated as a tender blood meal, torn apart by the Borisin.
The thought of this scene made Sunday's body tremble uncontrollably.
"No, no, I don't want to see this happen."
Sunday locked himself in his room to ponder and infer.
Finally, he slowly stood up.
"As long as I haven't seen my sister's corpse, she might not be in danger. Perhaps she's just been captured by the Borisin, and is waiting for me to rescue her. If I act too late, I'm afraid she truly might be in trouble."
Sunday muttered to himself as if grasping at a lifeline.
He could not accept losing his sister. Even if it was just to numb himself, Sunday wouldn't stay there grieving alone.
Sunday said to himself.
Then, he walked outside, intending to organize people to go and rescue his sister with him.
As for the situation on Penacony, he could delay it further, or even cancel it entirely; it didn't matter. For Sunday, nothing was more important than his sister.
Walking into The Reverie Hotel lobby, Sunday saw the Astral Express crew. Welt Yang and Himeko were at the reception desk checking in. Dan Heng, March 7th, and Stelle were at the bar sampling non-alcoholic beverages.
Normally, Sunday would have surely made contact with them. After all, the planet Penacony had deep ties with the Astral Express.
However, Sunday now had no energy for such matters.
But he still instructed one of the Oak Family members: "Go check on the Astral Express crew. If there's anything not important, you can agree on my behalf."
"Yes, Lord Head."
In space, aboard a Borisin Beast Ship.
At the end of Derick's lounge area was Robin's room.
In the room's bathroom, there was a mirror, and Robin looked at her reflection, seeing her extreme weariness.
From yesterday until this morning, Robin hadn't slept at all, remaining in a state of extreme tension.
After all, while Derick's behavior yesterday was still normal, he was, after all, the Borisin War Chief. Who knew what his true nature was? Perhaps everything he showed her during the day was an illusion, and he would actually reveal his cruel side at night.
Robin had once heard of people who loved to first give others hope. Then, when that hope reached its peak, they would personally tear it apart, thereby bringing deep despair.
She didn't know if this new Borisin War Chief was such a person.
So, she was terrified all night, not daring to do anything. It wasn't until the next morning, when she came to her room's bathroom, that Robin only saw her own weary face.
Robin clenched her fists.
Just then, the door to the lounge opened. Robin heard the sound, startled, and took a step back, clutching her fists in front of her chest.
That Borisin War Chief wouldn't come now, would he?
"Miss Robin, your food is here," the Borisin attendant said.
She had originally considered Robin to be Derick's plaything, but remembering that if Derick hadn't been in a good mood today, she herself would likely have been beaten to death on the spot. The reason for Derick's good mood, the Borisin attendant also attributed to Robin.
Because of this, her attitude towards Robin had improved considerably.
"Uh, thank you," Robin said. Seeing that it wasn't Derick, and although the Borisin attendant looked fierce, she was still polite to Robin, so Robin politely said to the attendant.
The attendant nodded lightly, then handed the food to Robin.
Robin began to eat her breakfast.
As she ate breakfast, she felt that being terrified all the time wasn't the way to go. Robin thought for a moment and said to the attendant: "You, do you know where your War Chief is?"
Seeing Robin's behavior, the attendant secretly chuckled to herself. Their own War Chief's appearance, while not conforming to Borisin aesthetics, for other human races, perfectly hit their interest points.
"Lord Derick is currently strolling around the ship, Miss Robin. If you wish to find Lord Derick, I can take you to him," the Borisin attendant said to Robin.
Anyway, Robin's abilities were limited here; the Borisin attendant wasn't worried she had the skill to escape the Beast Ship. Taking her to find Derick was no big deal.
After she finished eating, she followed the Borisin attendant with small steps, searching for Derick on the Beast Ship.
Searching for Derick was also a method Robin had devised after careful consideration.
If she stayed in the lounge, perpetually waiting for her fate, then before Derick could do anything to her, Robin felt she would first 'pass away' from sheer exhaustion.
If she found Derick, and if he truly was as he claimed—that he wouldn't do anything to her—then naturally, everything would be fine, and she could set her mind at ease upon seeing him.
But if he was playing a dark psychological game, waiting for her to submit, then by actively going and cooperating, she could temporarily stabilize him, making him believe his words were effective, and prevent him from doing anything to her. Robin believed that as long as she could buy enough time, her brother would surely arrive to rescue her.
All she had to do was maintain her own safety, and the safety of her assistants, before her brother arrived.
Robin believed her brother would definitely come to rescue her.
Walking down a corridor of the Beast Ship, Robin saw Derick looking out at the starry sky through a window. Derick held a snack in his hand, pinching pieces of the snack into his mouth while gazing outside.
Seeing this scene, Robin couldn't help but be startled.
Derick, looking like this, if the setting were different, would resemble a young high school boy relaxing after class. And what's more, this high school boy was incredibly handsome.
But now he was on a Beast Ship, surrounded entirely by Borisin, and the Derick before her was a genuine Borisin War Chief.
Derick glanced at the Borisin attendant, who quickly lowered her head and chose to leave.
Here, only he and Robin remained.
"How was your sleep last night?" Derick casually greeted Robin. But after saying so, he felt he had misspoke.
Robin's weary face hardly suggested she had slept well.
He awkwardly handed the snack in his hand to Robin.
Derick said to Robin, "Here, have some snacks first."
"Mn," Robin accepted the snack, unable to refuse, and pinched a small piece into her mouth.
Seeing Robin so obedient, Derick continued, "Miss Robin, rest assured, it won't be long before I grant you and your companions freedom."
Robin's hand, holding the snack, paused at Derick's words, and then a grateful expression appeared on her face.
However, her heart sank.
Derick was already the War Chief; wasn't releasing her just a matter of a word? Why did he have to say "wait a few days"? Wait a few days? What could possibly change in a few days?
Robin truly couldn't imagine what difference a few days sooner or later would make.
So, she had only one thought in her mind:
Derick was deliberately toying with her.
However, facing Derick's teasing, Robin still put on a trusting face and showed cooperation.
"Derick wants to deceive me, but I also want to deceive you. Just wait a few more days, and I'll definitely be able to wait for rescue," she thought to herself.
Derick, unaware of Robin's thoughts, continued to gaze at the starry sky outside.
Just then, Derick noticed that the number of Beast Ships next to their current fleet had suddenly increased. Many unfamiliar Beast Ships appeared, and Derick's gaze swept forward, seeing a huge planet appear in their direction of advance.
Moldu, the Borisin leader, quickly ran over at this moment, and seeing Derick, promptly reported: "Lord Derick, we have arrived at our headquarters. Following your orders, all Borisin are gathering here."
Robin saw Derick's aura suddenly change. His entire demeanor, from calm and casual just moments ago, transformed into something ruthless, violent, and overbearing.
This was the savagery Derick displayed to match the aura of a Borisin War Chief.
However, from Robin's perspective, it felt as if this was Derick's inherent aura.
