"Sevrak, why the hell did you throw him off like that?" Arvyn tracked the body as it vanished and shouted in anger. "Do you think we have time to search his corpse?"
She wanted to drink Zephan's blood, but now she would have to find where he landed, and the thought clearly irritated her.
But Kaelor's words helped her regain her composure. "Don't worry. You won't need to search for it." He kept looking in the direction Zephan had flown.
A few moments later, a streak of light appeared in the distance. It cut through the air and came straight back toward them.
The silver lightning landed in front of them, reforming Zephan's figure with a controlled and gentle impact.
"How did you survive that?" Sevrak looked at him with fresh surprise.
Zephan's body was intact, like he hadn't taken any damage at all. Only the white clothing covering him was torn in a few places, but it was already regenerating. The tears closed like open wounds knitting shut.
