Apokolips was in shambles.
A grunt escaped my lips as my fist smashed into a Parademon's face, sending out a shockwave that pushed the horde away from us.
Yet, even more charged around them, all heading for the girl behind me that immediately sent out a wave of violet-black energy to push them back.
"Guess they want their boss back!" I shouted to Raven, catching one of the Parademons and tossing him with a spin into another group.
"Well, that's too bad for them," she replied with a scoff, making me chuckle as a dozen spectral hands made out of her energy flared out.
Each smacked away scores of demons while I flew close by, Wonder Woman and Batman warding off the army from the ground as the four of us made our way back to the portal.
"Hey! You guys need help?!" Flash asked with a grin as he appeared on the back of a Parademon, making me grin as the speedster pushed off it.
In rapid succession, he bounced between the demons like a blur, opening a path for the Lanterns who immediately made a barrier path.
"Thanks!" I shouted to the Lanterns, who nodded as they made more and more weaponry that unleashed hell onto the demons.
Glancing over at where Martian Manhunter flew, I was not surprised to see the hero in his true Martian form, his arms elongated to hold the unconscious forms of Big Barda, Gilotina and Lashina.
Granny Goodness on the other hand was nowhere to be seen, making me frown before I finally caught sight of the portal through the horde.
"Rae! Straight forward!" I replied and she nodded, picking up speed as I watched the barrier begin to crack from the hordes of Parademons trying to break through.
With a grunt, Raven flew through the portal as I turned around, clapping my hands with a roar. A thunderous shockwave erupted from my hands and outwards, shattering the barrier and sending fragments of the green shards into the horde.
"Justice League! Time to head back!" I shouted as the Lanterns picked up Wonder Woman and Batman, Martian Manhunter flying through with Flash bouncing off of the Parademons to follow after.
As the Green Lanterns were the last to go through, I smirked as I stared at the hundreds of thousands of Parademons charging, taking a deep breath while stretching my arms out wide.
"GOODBYE!" With a thundering roar and clapping my hands together, the air I pushed together with TTK split the skies with its shockwaves as the demons were all sent flying back.
I myself was not invulnerable to the effect as I flew through, a pair of strong arms catching me before I smirked at M'gann's concerned look.
"Sphere! You know what to do!"
"Understood," Sphere's voice echoed as the portal flickered for a moment before they watched as a missile was fired from the floor and into the portal.
"What was that?"
"A statis nuke," I replied, M'gann putting me down while reverting to her regular form. "I've had Sphere working in the background on how to add the stasis cell's frozen effect onto the weaponry."
"So, what? They're frozen in time n-" Wally paused as the portal itself froze, stuck in place before it snapped out of existence.
"Yeah. As long as the Sphere is part of the Unity Sphere, think of Apokolips as one frozen capsule that we don't have to worry about anymore," I grunted, stretching my body before turning to the crowd of heroes with a grin, "And with that, we've won. Feel free to celebrate."
"That was...anti-climactic," Robin murmured, probably saying what everyone was thinking as Batman spoke.
"That's how a battle goes when you've prepared. In the meantime, Paragon, Wonder Woman, come. We have a meeting with the UN to attend."
"Sure thing."

"In recent news, the Justice League has finally come forth with news of what those portals were as well as the identities of the entities that came through."
"The entities were known as Parademons, beings crafted by the former rule of the planet from which those portals came from," Batman spoke, looking at the camera with Paragon and Wonder Woman at his side. "Unfortunately, we found out that the humans kidnapped were turned into those creatures by usage of technology and methods beyond our capability to revert. Thus, we had no choice but to seal it off from the world."
"While the global community remains in shock at this revelation, global leaders have expressed a tense gratitude towards our orbital defenders. If not for the quick thinking of their newly christened King, the hero Paragon, the number of casualties would have been significantly higher.
With that, the United Nations have officially recognised the Unity Sphere as a sovereign planetary defence asset. Naturally, this led to questions regarding the permanence of the alien technology, but King Paragon had this to say."
"I've said it once and I'll say it again. Leave us alone and we'll leave you alone. Intruders will be send back to your world leaders and any that attempt to kidnap and/ or capture my people will be met with an orbital missile right to your leader or president's residence. That is all."
"Many take this to be the words of a villain, but with his past as a hero that did not hesitate to end the life of a villain, many agree that this offer is best. In later news, the streets are peaceful no more as the Joker unleashes another Arkham Jailbreak."

"You sure you don't want anyone else in here?" I asked, standing beside Batman with my arms crossed as we stared at the grinning face of Joker in a stasis cell.
Next to him were several of his rogue gallery along with Wonder Woman's, Flash's and the rest of the Justice League's.
"No, these are the only ones that would not agree to change," he replied, though I didn't miss the look of regret as he stared at the frozen Joker. "Earth's prisons have shown to be too lax. Placing the worst of the worst here ensures that Earth can focus on long-term recovery.
"Can't argue with that," I replied with a shrug before turning my gaze to the rest of the prison. We still had the hundreds of the Reach's Scarab Warriors as well as Vandal Savage and his two daughters right beside him.
I did give the latter two the option to change, but one just smiled at me and the other spat in my face. Thus, here we are.
Still, even with all of these in here, I'm very sure crime won't drop too far when new villains rise in challenge to the heroes, especially with how many inter-dimensional and inter-galactic enemies Supes had.
"How are the Martians doing?" Batman asked as we began to walk away, making me blink as I shrugged.
"They and the Genomorphs are getting more and more used to living on an isolated moon far away from Earth, though with the new Boom Tubes Sphere set up, I've made it possible for them to frequent a few islands away from society as a big vacation holiday."
"Are these islands bought under your name?"
"Should I have bought them?" I asked in turn, blinking as the hero just looked at me before letting out a sigh.
"You're just as naive as Clark is. Send me a list of the islands' names. I'll buy them for you."
"Ooh, want to build a headquarters for the Justice League on one?" I asked, making him pause before he nodded.
"That would be suitable and it's out of view from the rest of the world."
"Great! I'll have Sphere send it ove-!" The sound of the alarm interrupted Batman and I's conversation, the two of us looking to a holographic screen that appeared to show Brainiac's ship slowly floating out of a portal above Metropolis.
Of course he'd show up just after we dealt with Darkseid.
"I'll route Wonder Woman and the Hawk-couple now that most of their rogue gallery is captured. We have a meeting later today."
"Got it," I replied with a thumbs-up as Batman walked towards the elevator towards the new Justice Society hall on the Unity Sphere. "Sphere, straight path to Earth."
"Understood." Taking a deep breath as the floor opened beneath me, I fell through hundreds of floors before the final floor opened a Boom Tube right to the top of Brainiac's ship.
At the same time, two more portals opened and Wonder Woman and the Hawk-Couple fell through, the latter two diving towards the ship's back while Wonder Woman and I crashed feet first into the rooftop.
"Chris? I thought we had a family dinner with the Kents and my parents that we needed to prepare for?" M'gann's voice came through the circlet, drawing an amused snort from Wonder Woman as I gave a sheepish chuckle.
"Just a slight delay, beautiful!" I replied over the winds, punching into the ship and unleashing TTK into the rooftop. "Brainiac's in Metropolis so it might take a few hours to get him to leave."
"Ugh, and I'm guessing you didn't take the extra heavy hitters?"
"I have Wonder Woman here with me!" I replied, tearing open the hull as the amused woman and I fell through.
"Should have known. Hold on," Raven's voice came through before a larger portal opened beside us as we landed, a snort escaping my lips when Match, Kori and Kara floated through.
The Kryptonian duo stared at me with matching frowns while Kori waved, which I returned.
"Again?"
"You already made me not get to fight Darkseid. We're not doing this again."
"I...don't have an excuse," I replied with a shrug, drawing a sigh from my older clone and my cousin just as the shutter doors in front of us was flung open. "Starfire, Supergirl, long-range support. Superman, you're with Wonder Woman and I."
"You got it." With a grin, Superman cracked his knuckles and shot forward, Wonder Woman and I sharing a bemused grin as we rushed after him.
Hordes of security droids stormed us, but were swiftly burned away by Starfire's bolts and Supergirl's laser vision. Superman, Wonder Woman and I kept low, punching our way through the drones.
Most had kryptonite at the tip of their weaponry, but Wonder Woman and I took care of those, giving Superman the opportunity to fire his laserbeams to take care of the rest.
"I must say," a voice echoed across the intercom, making us pause as the drones stopped, "I was expecting this to be an easy battle, but I am glad it is not. Our games shall continue soon."
"Wha-" In the blink of an eye, I found myself hovering in the air, looking over to see the others doing the same while the ship was nowhere to be seen. "Did...did that just happen?"
"The ship vanishing into thin air? No, you're not hallucinating," Superman replied with a snort, though even he couldn't keep his composure as we watched Hawkwoman and Hawkman flying towards us with frowns.
"The ship disappeared in a flash and the portal closed."
"So, he just wanted to see if he could still play around? That's just great." I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose. "Well, nothing we can do but complain. Hawkman, -woman, Wonder Woman, thanks for the help."
"With my foes captured, this was a well-needed exercise," Wonder Woman spoke with a grin, to which the couple nodded as well as I watched them fly off.
Then, I turned to the others, who floated by a portal and grinned. "So...who's ready for a family reunion?"
A/N: And we end it off here! A short, but sweet ending to my first ever DC story. Also, I really am bad with ending stories, huh? I should try and take a class on that. Might help.
Anyway, got a few new stories coming up, a few old ones to finish and a few future ones to plan. Here's to many more and especially the next hero/ comic/ novel type story I'd do: Either Jason Todd SI or...To Be A Villain (Unsure of the verse yet)
