Chapter 201 - Chapter 201: Subjugation Complete

Valleta had panicked at first, but quickly regained her composure when she noticed that although Finn was still charging, his speed had noticeably slowed.

A cruel smile appeared on her face as she shouted, "He's near his limit—finish him off!"

She was right—Finn was still just a mortal. Though he had survived the bombardment of magic swords, he hadn't come out unscathed.

The black-robed figures noticed this as well. Those wielding cursed weapons advanced, while those with magic swords prepared to fire again.

Finn quickly assessed his condition and decided on his next move.

He stopped in his tracks and raised his golden spear.

In addition to "Savage Magic Spear," Finn had one more magic spell.

Ordinary magic worked by chanting incantations to form a spell structure and then channeling mana to activate it. But Finn's second spell, "Tir na Nog," was different.

It was a throwing spear magic that calculated and incorporated the power of Finn's stats at every level to amplify the force of his throw.

Although it had a 24-hour cooldown, the spell's power was nothing short of terrifying.

Finn hurled the Dominator Spear, and as it flew, it stirred up a powerful storm that blew away all the black-robed enemies. Those directly in its path were torn apart by its sheer force.

The moment Finn made the throwing motion, Valleta instantly recognized what he was about to do and had already leapt out of the way.

But when she looked back at Finn, she saw him raising his other spear.

Her expression changed dramatically—this damned midget, even in a berserk state, was still as cunning as a fox. Who would've thought that he'd use such a powerful magic spell as mere bait to force her into revealing a weak point—only to follow up with an ordinary throw as the real killing blow?

"Move! Move, damn you!"

As the spear flew, Valleta screamed internally. Perhaps having pushed her body to its very limits, she managed to throw herself to the ground in a clumsy, donkey-like tumble.

But in that moment, she didn't care about appearances. She was simply thrilled to have narrowly escaped a fatal blow.

She stood up again, preparing to enjoy the look of regret and frustration on Finn's face—only to see nothing but shock in his eyes.

Then, Valleta felt a massive impact strike her from behind, slamming her to the ground. A sharp pain spread across her chest.

She looked down—and saw the bloodied shaft of a spear, its head buried in the floor beneath her.

Her eyes widened in confusion. Even if Charles had tried to explain it to her, she wouldn't have heard it.

Valleta, a high-ranking member of the Dark Faction, died with her eyes open—forever displaying what it meant to perish with lingering disbelief.

Even Finn was stunned. The moment he threw the spear, he'd had a feeling it wouldn't land. His attributes had been weakened, his body heavily wounded, and he had just used his magic at full force—this throw had clearly been subpar.

As expected, even though he had caught Valleta during the vulnerable moment after her dodge, she still managed to evade it.

Just as Finn was thinking about how to recover from the failure, he saw the spear… curve mid-air!

It made a U-turn and pierced straight through Valleta's heart.

Ruling out hallucination, Finn quickly realized—this wasn't just any spear. The one Charles had lent him clearly had special properties.

A warmth filled Finn's chest. The spear likely had a homing function, making it a perfect match for his style of combat.

But now wasn't the time to think about that—the battle wasn't over yet.

Still, Valleta's death was like a trumpet sounding victory.

The moment she breathed her last, the magic circle on the ground shattered completely.

The most immediate change was that Charles and the others felt as though a massive weight had been lifted from their shoulders.

Flames surged around Charles, and even Fahr let out a mighty roar of relief.

"Now it's our turn to strike back!" Gareth said, gripping his battle axe in both hands.

The corrupted fairy also sensed the shift in power and let out a piercing shriek.

The scream drilled into their minds like needles through their eardrums—even Charles's vision blurred from the pain.

When he regained clarity, a horde of sharp tendrils was already closing in on them.

With no time to think, Charles launched a "Flaming Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon." The flames on his fist repelled many of the tendrils, but some still broke through and struck the party.

The tendrils sent everyone flying. Tione, who had no weapon, suffered several cuts across her body.

Charles burned away the tendrils stuck in his chest and looked up at the corrupted fairy—sure enough, it had started chanting again.

If it completed an ultra-long incantation now, there was a real risk it could turn the tide. But after everything they'd been through, if that happened, they might as well quit being adventurers.

No orders were needed—everyone launched into an all-out charge.

A wave of man-eating flower tendrils surged forth to block their path.

Gareth laughed heartily and unleashed his full power, slamming his axe into the ground. The strike shattered the terrain and a huge fan-shaped swath of flowers ahead.

Tione and Tiona followed right behind, leaping into the air—one left, one right—both targeting the corrupted fairy.

But Tsubaki's war hammer got there first.

However, the corrupted fairy had prepared for this. A massive wall of man-eating flowers erupted from the ground.

The hammer smashed into it, leaving a large hemispherical crater, but even the Amazonian sisters couldn't break through it immediately.

The wall now bore deep cracks after three successive heavy attacks and was visibly on the verge of collapse.

From the air, Fahr descended and merged with Charles.

"Fairy Integration!"

In an instant, Charles entered his Blazing Flame Dragon King state and began gathering mana.

Sensing the overwhelming energy from Charles, Gareth immediately realized what was about to happen.

He shouted, "Leave the final blow to Charles—let's clear the path for him!"

In midair, the Amazonian sisters looked at each other. Then, their hands locked.

Tione twisted her waist and threw Tiona forward.

Tiona closed in on the cracked flower wall and brought her massive twin blades, Urga, down with a savage slash.

Boom!

A large chunk of man-eating flowers shattered into black mist. Countless dark green magic stones clattered to the ground. The path to the corrupted fairy was now clear.

"You've done well!"

Charles said this as he released the magic he had prepared.

"Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Crimson Lotus Exploding Flame Blade!"

A storm of fire erupted as Charles swung his arm, surging toward the corrupted fairy.

The corrupted fairy tried to shield itself with all remaining vines, petals, and flower parts, but the moment anything touched the flames, it was incinerated.

In the end, its entire body was engulfed in fire—becoming a towering pillar of flame.

"Unnamed fairy… rest in peace within the flames."

Charles whispered a quiet farewell to the creature.
