[In Naruto's apartment]
"What was that?" Sakura asked as she heard an explosion. She and Naruto looked out from the window to see what the commotion is all about.
There, on the street, was a woman in a purple dress wielding a bo staff, while facing what seems to be a group of thugs.
Naruto was panicking "whoa! Sakura chan. What's going on?"
Sakura, however, wasn't listening, but paying more, attention to the people on the road.
A blonde woman in purple dress wielding a bo staff was facing a group of thugs wielding ordinary tools as weapons, as if she was preventing them to go any further.
But she couldn't help but wonder about the energy she sense from them.
From what she can describe, the woman energy is really small, gently flowing through her in forms of part ways like streams connecting to a river. Due to that, it's almost hard to take notice.
Just like every ninja she encountered today.
For the thugs, however, were different.
Their energies were overflowing so much, not only it filled every single parts of their bodies, it surrounds them like op aura farmers at rookie level.
And that was a problem as she doesn't recognize any of those guys.
Which makes her worry and for good reasons, as the only characters she knows that could perform that stunt were the jinchurikis going kiubi mode, and the raikage going lightning mode.
From the way they are dressed, the time, and the numbers ratio, she could guess pretty much the situation.
Some unknown powered group have infiltrated konoha. Unfortunately, they encountered the kiniochi who saw through their disguise and decided to face them herself.
However, the disadvantage was pretty clear. Not only was the woman outnumbered, but each of the thugs overpowered her completely.
So unless she set some traps around the battlefield, or is buying time for backup, Sakura have to consider her an idiot for facing them solo.
'But something doesn't add up.' Sakura thought. 'With how powerful they are, and how large their numbers are, there's no way they can be unnoticed until now.'
Her reason were two, different, simple facts.
The first being media related. There is no way a situation like this could be omitted from the manga or anime. Even if unimportant, it would at least be mentioned by someone else or appear in a filler.
But it never did.
And she trusts her knowledge.
The second, more realistic, would be konoha defense. With the number sensor ninjas patrolling the village belonging to clans like hyugas, aburanes, inuzukas and yamanakas, the chance of infiltration is ridiculously low. Not even considering Hiruzen with that ball he practiced on questionable gender washroom.
With those Intel, she came up with two conclusions.
Either someone like Danzo set up that situation for his own personal interest,
Or,
This is an alternate universe with some unknown opponents and plots.
Either way, this situation doesn't look good. And her hunch warn her that she's involved.
"Get ready Naruto. Something tell me we're gonna have to face them." She said in a serious tone. Not bothering to look at him.
Despite not knowing what she meant, Naruto got a feeling that those people are dangerous. 'Yo foxy, got any ideas who those guys are?' he asked the spirit in him.
'All I can sense is that each of them have more juice than an ordinary ninja. And killing intents are high, though there's some fear in them. Just watch out brat. They're nothing like that Mizuki human.' The nine tails responded.
'Whoa! I never expected you to talk to me that easily!' Naruto sounded shocked at the beast reply like he just saw his bully treating him like his best pal. Well Sakura is one thing but this creature....?
'Shut up brat! I got bored and decided to talk to you! Just be glad you have someone to always talk to from now on! It's not like you're always lonely that I want to keep you company till you feel better.'
Now the boy was just shocked.
'...... Are you... A tsundere?'
'I'M GONNA RIP YOU INTO SHREDS IF YOU KEEP THIS UP!'
'Ok. Ok. Sorry foxy.' Naruto couldn't help but chuckle. Though no one could blame him. Who would have thought that the big, bad fox has such a cute side?
'Grrrrrrrrr. (Sigh) Kurama.'
'What?'
'The name is Kurama. And the real reason is that I'll prefer you calling me by my real name rather than giving me an annoying knick name. And it has nothing do with being friends!'
'Oh! Got it then bro.'
'I TOLD YOU I DON'T WANT TO MAKE FRIENDS!'
Now his body was shaking as he was trying to hold his laugher. Yep, that's a tsundere alright.
"What's going on?" Sakura asked, puzzled, as she noticed what he's been doing.
Naruto took a deep breath to calm down before continuing "Nothing, just keeping my new bro in my tummy company since it was lonely."
'FOR THE LAST TIME! I'M NOT LONELY! I'M THE MOST POWERFUL BEING IN THIS WORLD! I DON'T NEED HUMANS LIKE YOU AND THAT ANNOYING PINK HEADED HUMAN AS FRIENDS!' Kurama roar was so loud that one would think that chaos itself has decided to annihilate existence as a whole.
But his host, surprisingly, found the act cute.
"By the way, its name is Kurama and he wants to be your friend."
'WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SAID!?'
"Oh come on, foxy. No need to be shy. It's ok to have friends."
'I'M NOT SHY! AND I SAID THAT I DON'T WANT ANY FRIENDS! AND FOR THE LAST TIME, IT'S KURAMA, NOT FOXY'
"How about buddy,? It's a sign for great friends."
Kurama thought about it for a moment and admit it sounded nice.
'No' the answer, however, was opposite.
"Dude?"
'Not happening.'
"Bro?"
'Just forget it.'
"Nii-san"
'IT'S THE SAME THING!'
Meanwhile, Sakura was just curiosli looking at Naruto who seems to be having a fun conversation with the nine tails for a while before smiling.
'At least he has a friend worth talking to. And that's a good thing.' She thought to herself before looking back at the battlefield below with a serious expression 'Cause if the future is more dangerous and unknown than the canon?' as her resolve was solidifying, an old instinct she buried was starting to claw itself out 'then we're gonna need every help we can get!'
