Chapter 76 - The Executioner

Butler Jude beamed at Zane's determination. "You won't be going back to the office for a month since the board is persistent in removing you from your position and the group. The Chairman decided to suspend you to appease the board. For now, he'll manage the Group and get it settled. Just avoid causing any more problems."

Initially, Zane had intended to complete the mission the Chairman had assigned and leave quietly, knowing how much other members of the Cassius family despised his presence.

Zane let out a heavy sigh before saying firmly, "I did fail to keep the promise I made to him. But this time, I'll be more careful not to cause trouble. I won't fail him again."

Butler Jude nodded in understanding.

For the last time, Zane glanced at the Chairman's door. He felt not only excitement but also gratitude that the Chairman had eventually listened to him. Yet, that alone didn't erase the distance and the broken bond between them.
