Doctor Philip reached into her folder and handed over a small bag of medications. "These are your prescriptions—folic acid, prenatal multivitamins, iron, and a few others. Everything to support a healthy pregnancy. Right now, the baby's heartbeat is strong."
Annabelle stepped forward and took the bag, reaching for her purse. "Thank you, doctor. How much is the total?"
"The bill has already been settled," the doctor replied.
Annabelle blinked in surprise. "What? By who?"
"You don't know who paid?" Selina asked, looking confused.
Eloise and Noah, however, didn't look surprised at all.
"You shouldn't worry about that. Resting is all that matters now. You're officially discharged," Doctor Philip concluded.
As the nurse moved to gently remove the IV from Selina's arm, a heavy silence fell over the room. Once the medical staff stepped out, Selina's brows drew together in a hard line.
"Then... who brought me here?"
