"Yes. That's what the doctor told us. All of his organs are functioning well for someone his age."
Noah could feel Edgar's misery in his tone. He turned to see him and noticed how sad he was now.
"How old is he?"
"Fifty-five..."
Noah was stunned. For someone who was only fifty-five, his Father looked much older; he seemed to be in his seventies.
'What happened to you? What kind of illness is this? Why do you seem to age so quickly?' he pondered.
Noah stands there for a while. Suddenly, something crosses his mind.
'Zoe !!'
'Yes, Master?'
'Can you tell me why I ended up in an orphanage?'
'I'm sorry I can't...'
Noah clearly remembers her telling him that he could ask her anything. But now, for this seemingly simple question, she cannot provide an answer.
'You can't tell me because you don't know, or is there some power preventing you from informing me?' he asked, his skepticism growing toward Zoe's supposed all-knowing abilities.
