Chapter 3 - The Foundry & The Farming Village

As we made the journey towards the giant tower in the distance I was looking through the inventory along with other things and noticed something crucial.

I still had access to the foundry, the one thing from the game that made it possible to create items such as weapons, companions, ships, gear and more importantly how to make Warframes.

However unlike the original foundry this one only gave the option to create all weapon types, mining gear, fishing gear and most importantly out of all of it, Warframes themselves.

This was a big deal as it told me that I could potentially create more Warframes in the future and in fact I even had the blueprints for all of them already, blueprints for everything in those categories but the items needed for creation were….. different….

Each part needs four separate items to be made and each Warframe needed the created parts for the Neurooptics, the Helmet basically, the Warframes internal Systems/Nervous System, and finally the chassis/ the rest of the body then taking those made parts and a core piece to give the Warframe life to make.

Example would be Ash, Ash is the Assassin Warframe and each part requiring 100 'small' magic stones, and 1 'War Shadow Finger Blade', each part needs at least those items so to make the necessary parts would need 300 'small' magic crystals and 3 'War Shadow Finger Blades' with the neuroptics needing 50 'Blood Onyx' and 50 'Light Metal', the Systems needing 10 'Seiros' and 10 'Mythril Ore', and finally the chassis needing 10 'Adamantite Ore' and 5 'Oricalchum Ingots'

300 small magic crystals, 3 war shadow finger blades, 50 blood onyx, 50 light metal, 10 Seiros, 10 Mythril ore, 10 Adamantite Ore, 5 Oricalchum Ingots and lastly for the Power source 1 Large Magic Crystal.

Seeing Mythril, Adamantite, Oricalchum told me this was definitely a fantasy world as those metal ores only existed in a fantasy setting so I could infer that this world was those types of worlds with fantasy systems so this world must be one with magic and thus I could hand wave things with my Warframe and just say it's using magic but maybe it's easier to keep the Warframes as their own individual persons for the time being.

But seeing all the parts just to make Ash and then looking at all the other Warframes I knew that it would be a massive grind just to make more of them so for the time being making Warframes would be put off to the side while weapons would be the main focus as the parts required to make them are more common to be made such as Iron ore and something known as 'White Wood' being the main component in most weapons that can be made in the foundry along with a section that wasn't in the old foundry and that is ammo.

However the foundry only gave me access to weapons that don't use bullets so for the most part they were bows, the secondary's being kunai's and ballistica's and lastly the melee weapons which was the largest selection of weapons that could be made with every weapon having "Durandal" added to them.

What that ment I had no clue but I assumed it was a good thing, but on top of everything I still had access to mods which could make my weapons and Warframes more powerful.

However I had no idea how I would get mods, that is until I saw something known as a Mod transmuter, which required 10 magic crystals of various sizes to make my own mods, however they are completely random with what would be made based upon what magic crystals would be used as catalysts with damaged mods of bronze, silver and Gold rarity along with their undamaged counterparts as well being possible to be made but from what I could tell, the higher grade of magic crystal the less likely the mods would appear as damaged so that's good at least.

I could get two mods but I didn't see a reason to do so at the moment so I stopped looking at the foundry and kept moving on, though one thing I noticed when looking over my inventory was that the capsule was put inside of it, meaning that the capsule was most likely my version of the transference device which would allow me to move my Warframe without needing to cling onto it like I was right now.

So we kept moving before finally coming upon a clearing and seeing a vast field of wheat before me along with several buildings of rather rudimentary style houses and farm buildings in the distance.

So I began to take the path between the fields towards the village as my Excalibur had repositioned me to be carried on his back as we made our way there.

Soon enough we arrived at the village and it seemed like your normal farming village, it seemed to mostly be farmers and their family's for the most part, they saw us but didn't seem nervous seeing us, though they did give us looks but didn't say anything besides some heading off to somewhere else within the village.

Though soon enough a few guards showed up wearing some basic leather armor with either spears in hand or swords on their hips, their weapons seemed mass produced and were nothing special but a sword and spear are still dangerous to deal with especially with my weakened state.

"Hello there traveler, mind I ask what you are doing here in our village?" The man taking the lead, who I assumed was the captain of this small guard squad of only three.

"I'm sorry if we seem suspicious, however we were attacked by a group of goblins south of here, our carriage was destroyed while our horses fled leaving us no choice to continue our journey by walking here." Excalibur said though I was the one speaking through it but it didn't sound anything like my voice instead it sounded like the voice of Arthur James Nightingale, the man who would later fully become the Excalibur Warframe within the games story.

The leader looked at the guys behind him, "Go tell the Squadron Leader, we need to get some people to check and see if there's a chance of a Goblin Village forming nearby." He said to which the others nodded and left while the leader looked back at us as he took his hand off his hilt and visibly relaxed, "Sorry about that, can't be too careful after all, although the Zeus and Hera Familia's scare off most banditry near Orario it doesn't mean bandits don't appear, here come along with me you must be tired after everything that just happened." The captain said sounding friendly enough but I had to think to myself about the things I just heard from him.

Hera, Zeus and Orario, those names were familiar, at least the first two, Hera and Zeus were both Greek gods but Orario sounded familiar but I didn't know where I heard that name before.

This gave me a hint that this world was probably related to some form of media of some kind from my previous world but I don't recognize it personally, maybe if I saw someone of importance it could maybe jog my memory about it.

So maybe it was for the best to gather more information from this world and figure out what I should be doing here overall.
