The moment they exited the sports field, Lu Qingyan tugged up the hood of her jacket with military precision—like a ninja dodging a public scandal.

Then, as if hit by a sudden wave of enlightenment, she turned to Wang Jingyuan and reached up to tug his hoodie over his head too. "Seatmate, the sun's way too fierce today. You might get sunburned and then blame me for ruining your future modeling career."

Wang Jingyuan gave her a side-eye, an eyebrow raised in mild amusement. "Modeling career?"

She nodded solemnly. "That bone structure? You could sell sunscreen just by walking outside."

He didn't answer, but she heard a low, nearly indiscernible laugh. Success.

But before she could gloat internally, she felt his hands subtly shift beneath her thighs.

While she was babbling nonsense, she heard Wang Jingyuan say in a slightly admonishing tone, "Stop moving."
