Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Cyber World

Jack steps out of his apartment, the crisp morning air biting at his skin. The streets are bustling with people hurrying to work, completely unaware that he's a man who's lived through a decade of betrayal and suffering.

His destination is a small, rundown internet café located three blocks away. The place is exactly as he remembers – a narrow storefront with flickering neon lights and a cracked sign that reads "Cyber World."

Inside, the café is nearly empty, just a few teenagers huddled over ancient computers playing outdated games. The owner, a balding man in his forties named Tom, sits behind the counter, looking more stressed than ever.

Jack approaches, his mind already running calculations. In a few months, a new online game will take the market by storm, turning every internet café in the city into a goldmine. If he can secure this place now, he'll be set for his first big move.

"Tom, hey," Jack says, forcing a casual smile. "Business still tough?"

Tom sighs, rubbing his temples. "You have no idea. Rent's due, the PCs are falling apart, and my wife's on my back about closing this place down."

Jack nods sympathetically, but inside, his mind is churning. "What if I told you I could help?"

Tom raises an eyebrow. "How?"

A translucent screen pops up before Jack's eyes, showing the café's current value, potential revenue projections, and hidden opportunities. Despite its poor state, the place has potential, especially with the gaming boom on the horizon.

"I could buy this place from you," Jack says, trying to keep his voice steady. "I can't pay upfront, but I can offer a deferred payment plan. What do you say?"

Tom hesitates, his brow furrowing. "You? A broke office worker? How can you afford that?"

Jack clenches his fists, suppressing the urge to lash out. "I have my ways."

[Mission Update: Secure the internet café within 5 days. Time remaining: 5 days, 22 hours.]

Jack smirks. The clock is ticking, and he's just getting started.
