Chapter 245 - Chapter 244: The Runaway Plot of Naruto

After uploading the photo, Uchiha Hikari quietly waited for a bit, and soon enough, a few messages popped up in the group chat:

Oni Princess: Wow, that's our Miss Hikari for you!

Brand: Wait, is this some new Teigu that Miss Hikari and Miss Bulma cooked up? It kinda looks like that "Noble Chariot" the boss mentioned, or maybe a mini version of the "Supreme Teigu." Wonder how it performs…

Bulma: Huh? How'd I get dragged into this?

Well, it does look similar, but it's probably not a Teigu—just a controllable robot. @NamelessHikari, where'd you get this thing? Don't tell me you're secretly working with some other scientist behind my back!

Nameless: ?

West Tiger: Now that you mention it, this design looks super familiar. I feel like I've seen it in an anime before, but I can't quite place the name…

Seeing Yuji Itadori's message, Hikari let out a sigh of relief.

She'd overlooked one thing: most people in the group had no idea what a Gundam was.

So far, no one from the Gundam world had joined the chat, and even Bulma, who was pretty knowledgeable, had only seen a handful of anime Hikari brought back from the Dragon Clan world—like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Inuyasha. She had no clue about the significance of this mecha's design and totally missed the point Hikari was trying to make.

Luckily, there were a few group members who did get it.

Yuji Itadori was one of them. His Jujutsu Kaisen world was set in a 21st-century society with a culture very close to the real world, where classic anime like the Gundam series existed. Sure, there might be slight differences in the story due to the world's unique quirks, but it was close enough.

And then there was another member who definitely knew what was up:

Little Monster: I know this! It's a character from Mobile Suit Gundam!

Hang on, let me check. I'm pretty sure my brother got me a figure of this…

[OG Gundam.jpg], [Wing Gundam Zero.jpg], [Freedom Gundam.jpg]—Hikari's piloting the one on the right, right? I LOVE this figure!

In the chat, Eriyi sent a flurry of photos. They were clearly taken on the spot, with amateurish angles and less-than-stellar quality. But her phone's specs were good enough to show a girl in a red-and-white shrine maiden outfit sitting cross-legged in a wooden room, with an entire wall of collectible figures behind her—everything from Gundam and Ultraman to Kamen Rider, Evangelion Unit-01, and Super Saiyan merch. Pretty much every iconic anime was represented.

So far, Hikari was the only one who'd visited Eriyi's world and knew what her room looked like. For everyone else, this was their first glimpse.

Yuji and Miko Yotsuya, whose worlds were closest to modern Earth, were the first to react with shock:

West Tiger: Hold up, isn't Miss Eriyi, like, some super-rich heiress? That's a ton of figures, and some look like rare collector's editions. Getting all those must've cost a fortune!

Miko Yotsuya: I remember when we went to the martial arts tournament together, Hikari mentioned something about Eriyi's family being part of a big conglomerate… what was it called again?

Nameless: The Sheqi Eight Families.

Hikari dropped the name casually in the chat, then opened and zoomed in on Eriyi's photos.

Yup, there it was.

Right in the center of the figure wall, taking pride of place, wasn't an Ultraman or a kaiju, but a row of black-haired girl figures. Two were wooden, while the rest were plastic, dressed in various outfits—blue armor, dark green ninja gear, a T-shirt and jeans. The only thing they had in common? Crimson Sharingan eyes and spiky, hedgehog-like black hair, with a slight curve at the chest.

The wooden ones looked familiar—Eriyi had probably bought them from the Uchiha clan's woodcarving shop during her first visit to the Naruto world. But the plastic ones? Those were new to Hikari.

Bulma clearly noticed too:

Bulma: Wait a sec… those figures two rows above the Gundams, right in the middle—those are all Hikari figures, aren't they?

Little Monster: Yup! Recently, Naruto updated to the part where Hikari shows up, and everyone loves it! Some companies are already planning to make Hikari figures. The ones at my place are prototypes my brother got straight from the factory—they're not even on sale yet…

Nameless: Hold on… what do you mean I "showed up"?

Little Monster: Huh? You didn't know, Hikari? The latest Weekly Shonen Jump issue has you in it…

Nameless: ?

Hikari couldn't hold back her curiosity and pressed Eriyi for more details. After some back-and-forth, she pieced together what was going on.

Alright, fine.

This was probably a butterfly effect from her trips to the Dragon Clan world. That world already had Naruto as a manga, and by the time Eriyi joined the chat, it had reached the Five Kage Summit arc, with abilities like the Sharingan and Shadow Clones already introduced. Those powers? They were exactly like the ones Hikari had shown off during her visits.

So, the Sheqi Eight Families got the wrong idea about her connection to Naruto and ended up dragging that world's Masashi Kishimoto in for questioning. That, in turn, derailed the manga's plot. The masked figure who was supposed to be Obito? Now it was Hikari's face under the mask. And the mastermind behind the Fourth Great Ninja War? Yup, Hikari, the Uchiha clan's secret weapon.

It kinda made sense… or not!

How did a side-character from a game spinoff end up hijacking the main storyline and becoming the masked troublemaker? What happened to Obito? Did he just get crushed under that boulder at Kannabi Bridge and die for real?

And… Hikari as Madara's stand-in? Talk about a generational mismatch!

Hikari was at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, Bulma, listening to Eriyi's explanation, wore a gleeful expression, like she was thriving on the chaos:

Bulma @Little Monster: Hey, do you have any extra copies of those Naruto issues? Can you upload one for me to check out? I'll pay 100 points for it!

Oni Princess: I want one too! I'll give 150 points!

Miko Yotsuya: Me too!

Nameless: …

After Hikari's desperate attempts to shut it down, Bulma finally backed off, steering the conversation away from the "new Naruto" and toward the Gundam. Eriyi, meanwhile, uploaded a copy of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny—both the manga and a disc—to the group shop. Bulma, Yamato, and a few others grabbed copies and started flipping through them, chatting about it in the group.

Hikari, however, logged off, her mind racing.

She decided she'd make a trip to the Dragon Clan world to see for herself how she'd been drawn in the manga. If she was just a cool villain boss, fine. But if they'd slapped something as ridiculous as "creating a world with Rin" on her head? She'd need to have a word with that world's Masashi Kishimoto.

---

Back at the Red Ribbon Army base, Hikari stopped checking the group chat and focused on the mecha. She piloted it down from the air and, with Esdeath, began testing its weapon systems.

According to Dr. Gero, the mecha had six machine guns with a total of 8,000 rounds, capable of unloading everything in a minute and a half at full firepower. It also had two missile launchers for tactical rockets and micro-missiles, able to lock onto targets within three kilometers with an accuracy of less than 15 centimeters of error.

Its energy supply lasted about a week, though it needed three hours to recharge or a power source swap. Full firepower mode would drain it faster, of course. Reloading all 8,000 rounds and twelve micro-missiles took 15 minutes, during which the mecha couldn't move.

With that in mind, Hikari and Esdeath ran some tests.

Against forty ice cavalry conjured by Esdeath's "Ice Storm Commander," a 20-second burst from the machine guns shattered them all. A 30-meter-high, one-meter-thick ice wall took about 45 seconds to break through.

As for facing Esdeath herself? No chance.

Esdeath was only slightly weaker than Hikari and had recently developed her "Snow Demon," rivaling a fourth-stage Susanoo. Even doubling the mecha's ammo wouldn't make it a match for someone so far above its pay grade.

Overall, the mecha's performance was nowhere near a real Gundam or the Akame ga Kill world's Supreme Teigu, which could level 20 square kilometers with a single beam in "Purge Mode." Even a full-powered Susanoo might not withstand a few hits from that.

But as a big toy? It was more than decent.

Plus, it was just a prototype. With Dr. Gero's skills, it wouldn't take long to upgrade it to something closer to the real Freedom Gundam.

"Speaking of which, Bulma's been working on Orichalcum from the Akame ga Kill world. She must have some results by now…" Hikari mused. "I should ask her about sharing with Dr. Gero."

The Akame ga Kill world's tech wasn't advanced, but Orichalcum was an exception. An alloy strong enough to forge a Teigu like "One Cut, Two Pieces" was perfect for mecha construction. If Dr. Gero could replicate its composition and forging process based on Bulma's research, that'd be a game-changer.

As for the energy issue? That was up to Dr. Gero. Figuring out the "eternal energy reactor" was a mystery even Hikari couldn't crack. In the original story, Dr. Gero didn't create Androids 17 and 18 until over a decade later, so expecting a breakthrough in a year or two was probably unrealistic.

For now, Hikari stepped out of the mecha's cockpit and asked Dr. Gero for his thoughts before storing it in a Capsule.

"No worries, it's just a test model. Take it if you like, Lady Hikari," he said.

"Thanks."

Hikari was already imagining piloting a fully upgraded Gundam into other worlds—like Kassel College in the Dragon Clan world or the World Government in One Piece. The reactions would probably be… entertaining.

---

That afternoon, Hikari used "Shangri-La" to pop back to West City and found Bulma. The girl was at an amusement park with the Kamado family, Kanae Kocho, and others—a big, lively group that looked like a full-on tour bus.

When Bulma spotted Hikari, she hurried over, listening as Hikari explained why she was there.

"…Orichalcum research data?" Bulma nodded. "Yeah, we've got some preliminary results. It's at my dad's place. I'll take you to grab it later." Then, with a sly grin, she added, "So, aren't you curious about how you look in the manga? Wanna sneak over to Eriyi's and check it out? Don't worry, my lips are sealed—I won't spill the plot to anyone."

"…Heh." Hikari dodged the topic smoothly. "You should focus on your pirate crew plans instead. Yamato's heading back home soon, right? She might end up facing her dad, Kaido. If she needs our help, we better not mess it up."

"…Fair point," Bulma admitted, her attention shifting. "Alright, one more day of rest, then I'm back to working on the spaceship. Gotta get our pirate ship ready ASAP!"
