Chapter 2 - Dream of paradise

Confusion and anxiety rocked Sara's already hazy mind.

"How is this possible? She can't be real… can she?"

Standing several meters away, an unimaginable woman stood before her. It was not possible for a human woman to look the way she did. She was tall, very tall, well over 200 cm. Her body was voluptuous and luscious, soft yet somehow toned. She had long, beautiful legs and perfect skin, her waist narrowing to form a flawless hourglass figure. Completing the hourglass, her breasts were magnificent, large and full. Her gorgeous face was pristine, proud, and dignified, with striking golden eyes that gave off a soft glow. Long, flowing golden-blonde hair cascaded behind her, falling all the way to her impossibly wide and heavenly rear.

The woman took a step forward and projected a radiant smile. Her body was covered in a streaming white robe, tight against her breasts and hanging downward. The robe was bare on the sides, her arms, legs, and the sides of her breasts left visible to be admired.

"Something have your tongue, Sara?" the woman's voice rang out again, her smile hinting at a knowing amusement.

Breaking out of her stupor, Sara finally replied.

"Uhh… who are you? Where am I?" she struggled to say, then added,"And how do you know my name?"

"Relax… you are safe." The woman laughed."Where you are? That's easy, this is my home! And how I know your name? Even easier. My name is Luxuria, and I am a Goddess managing the realms of Earth and Aarde."

Sara blinked. "Whaaa…"

Not stopping, the apparent Goddess continued to step toward Sara until she stood directly in front of her. Sara looked up and blushed, the Goddess's partially exposed body lay perfectly in front of her in all its glory and lust. Unable to contain herself, Sara looked at her body lecherously, feeling both desire and jealousy.

The Goddess smiled again and continued.

"I brought you here for a proposition. It seemed like a good time to intervene, actually."

Sara remembered the moment before this encounter and shuddered, silently agreeing.

"You see… it turns out someone in the other realm, Aarde, was also looking for a change, and I think you two would be perfect for a swap."

Sara stood, dumbfounded.

"A swap? What does that mean? And where is Aarde?"

The Goddess looked down at her, her chest heaving slightly as she breathed. She turned and paced a few steps. Sara's eyes were drawn to her curves and the hypnotic sway of her hips as she walked.

"Two realms I watch, one of Science and the other of Magic. Earth exists in this realm, and Aarde exists parallel to it. But don't let that worry you... So, what do you say? Would you like a different life?"

Even the inhuman beauty of the Goddess and the alien yet remarkable landscape couldn't break the crashing wave of thoughts inside her. She thought of her past and her childhood, how much she struggled and tried, yet never achieved. How much she had given up, her friendships, even her chance at love and romance. Perhaps due to the exoticness of the Goddess before her, she also thought of sex and pleasure… how she wished she had more.

Looking up, Sara replied confidently.

"Yes."

The Goddess Luxuria smiled one last time before placing a hand on Sara's shoulder.

"Good… all you need to do is sleep."

Sara blinked again.

"Watch where you're fucking walking, asshole!" a brutish voice shouted as the SUV swerved suddenly out of the way, missing her and snapping her back to reality.

Frightened, Sara dashed to the curb, only to realize she'd run back to the one she started from, not the one she was supposed to reach.

Reliving the… dream? Event? Whatever it was, she thought to herself

Was it real? Or just a near-death experience?

She stood on the curb, unmoving, unthinking. Then she yawned.

Is it too late to call in sick? Or maybe I should just go get a doctor's note…

Sara turned and started walking back toward her apartment, climbing the soul-numbing steps, growing more and more tired with every moment awake.

A new life… that would be nice…

A soft yawn escaped her mouth as she opened the door to her apartment. It creaked as it swung.

Could I really give it up? Everything I did and worked for?

Closing the door, she looked around her apartment…

The uncleanliness. The dishevelment. The embarrassment. She sighed.

I'm tired though… I need to be rested for the meeting tomorrow…

Her bed rocked as she sat on it, then creaked and crunched as she sprawled out, still in her work clothes. She forgot to call in sick. Her phone was dead anyway, or perhaps she just didn't care anymore.

Sara closed her eyes and slept.
