We have stayed at the Island for a while now. Hai Wei had been released to do his duty and patrol the Southern Sea area, but he prefers to come back here in the evening and stay around the Island to get close to me. We changed to stay at a fisherman's village around the inland bay near secret base, and mostly discussed about the Mobius Rune Language and their Space Programs.
I also studied Hai Wei and asked him a lot of questions. He is originally a Giant King Cobra that several tribes worshiped. But after reaching Spirit level and becoming a Spiritual Beast, he was too big to hunt on land and had to move into the sea, where he further developed his abilities and his body into this amphibian True Form of the Great Serpent.
Hai Wei maintains his potent venom, great eyesight and air chemical detection while developed chemical and energy detection underwater. He also developed a swimming fin, adapted his hood for fast underwater maneuvering and gained the power to control water.
I had learned more about their long term travel and our own limitations. We clearly do not have unlimited power and energy. They planned to bring their worshipers as their energy source. They needed a lot of relay stations and colonies along the way because the distance will eventually make teleportation and telepathy consume too much energy. Even the Faith from worshipers on Earth will not reach them at that distance.
This is also the reason why we tend to travel slowly in our pilgrimage or use other ways to communicate, instead of relying on teleportation, telepathy, or fast travel by using our power. I don't know what really happened to the Fallen Deities, it might be similar to Hai Wei's case. But that terrified them and made each one of us try to create our own worshippers, cults or organizations. For me, I just want to live with my daughter as long as I can.
Their real base is actually on the dark side of the Moon. Most of the resources will go there after they complete their main residential spacecraft, the Ark. Even though the Ark has its own engine, but it will be mainly kept inside Huang Yi's Personal Space, while the Two Emperors will travel in other smaller spaceships.
They planned to use the Moon's Orbit to slingshot their spaceship by using a more conventional method. But with Rune Technology, things will have to set back a bit before leaping forward. My knowledge will accelerate their work quite a lot, but it will take years to research all existing runes and further develop them.
So, they let me access to all of their technologies immediately. They let Asena run around when she joined me inside the Sun Sphere, but they didn't allow her to play like that in the Celestial Palace. The reason why they prevented her from doing so is because it actually is a space station that floats in space.
At first, it was just a space station from a real-life design in Huang Yi's memory. Later, they developed and turned it into a cutting edge space station with a DMCs printing factory, and that's where they built and placed the Ark. There are also some Interceptor class spaceship and giant Mechs in hanger.
The Ark's complete design is really simple and practical. The cylindrical module designs from Sun Sphere's facility are used as their universal standard modules for basic living quarters, farming areas and laboratories. They will connect these modules into six sides of the main hexagonal prism corridor that also connect to the main deck in the front, main engine modules in the back, and two large rotation ring modules that provided an artificial gravity zone to help prevent health issues from long duration space travel.
Huang Yi's Battle Suit is actually Space Suit, even laser and deconstruction gun are choose because they suit for mission in space. They developed their technologies based on their needed to explore the universe. One last secret that they reveal to me is, they also had three more Deities from Huangdi's lineage in their organization. Yao and Shun who are not Time Traveler, Yu Han who reincarnated and become Yu the Great.
I think this is Asena's first warm winter. She loves swimming in the sea with Hai Wei and learning runes and spells from Michelle. I also taught my fighting style to her on the beach every day after dinner. Hai Wei who is still trying to control his Human Form, was also interested and joined us.
Hai Wei seems familiar with Yue wrestling style, so we started from there. He imitated their moves, mainly focusing on takedowns and joint submissions. When I tested him, he hadn't fully grasped it yet. He charged in head on but switched to slip in at the last moment to take control of my balance. But I already sank down to my center, then tripped him and made him collapse to the ground. He instinctively slipped in, almost like when he constricts his prey.
Many Sun Sphere agents started to take an interest in this wrestling style after seeing our training, but mostly as a sport. The rules are simple, make opponents give up or have parts other than feet touch the ground. I also added tapping as a form of giving up.
Local villagers also joined us and started weekly wrestling matches. Some bet on who should be a winner, and it eventually became a little party with food and music. Many learned from me but not as my disciples.
Swordsmen and fighters from other villages also came here to exchange skills. In real fights, they also used many striking techniques. With head, elbows and knee strikes, it's quite similar to Muay Boran and other related Southeast Asia martial arts, but it's still far from a complete fighting system.
Hai Wei slowly developed his own fighting style, focused on grappling and submission. It's so natural to him, almost like he is hunting his prey. In wrestling matches, he focuses on controlling and throwing to quickly win the match. All I did was teach the basic Natural Force usage from my Internal Art and made his techniques much more stable.
Even though I already named my whole martial art system by my sword set name, "Ten Directions Lotus Blossom." But it would be comfortable if I had a separate name for other sets, especially for hand to hand combat. So, I simply named it "Lotus Blossom Hand," to separate it from sword and blade sets, and it will be the next set I am going to teach Hai Wei.
Except for Asena, Hai Wei will be the first who is going to learn my personal Usage Method and my own martial art sets. All of the Usage Methods can be considered as part of the whole Internal Art, but I taught them to support everybody's fighting styles and use them as tools to guide everyone to the purest path, the Divine Method.
For the Great Serpent who was a Spiritual Beast before ascending, he killed just to survive. His fighting instinct is really close to mine, we fight for our lives. My own martial art was created from this survival philosophy. I use every means to stay on top of opponents and killing is the easiest way to survive.
It's the same for my personal Usage Method. At first, I just used everything for killing before I refined it into this unique method. You could call it a Killing Method. It might not be directly opposite of the Divine Method, but they are still like light and darkness. One can win without killing, while the other aims for killing before anything else.
Without Human Form, Hai Wei couldn't have learned any human fighting style before. So, he really tried to embrace my style as much as he could, but I asked him not to kill humans without reason. I also taught Shadow Cloak and Shadow Step to him, and imprinted Warcry Syntaxes for him just in case.
This is why many Spiritual Beasts want to have Human Form. While Beast Form is easier to evolve their physical abilities or abilities that rely on their bodies, but Human Form is more suitable for them to learn more sophisticated skills from someone else. Except for better physical enhancements, Midnight Blue only acquired the ability to fade into the night sky when she became my Divine Beast.
While my creations normally fall into either Spirits, Beasts or Human Immortals but as for my Hybrid Archangels, they are something else. Not only could they have all the power that I could imagine when I created them, but they can still learn all other skills and have a calculation capability that is fast enough to spontaneously operate new Mobius Rune spells every second.
However, as they didn't have any Believers or Worshippers, they solely depend on my energy alone. So, I had to teach them the basics of energy absorption and energy cultivation. I might have to let them operate outside of Eden to absorb and cultivate energy on their own and gain a few that believe in them.
Before I could create new Angels to assist the Archangels, Jiang Xu reminded me to reshape my Red Porcelain Armor. It's an artifact with a defensive property, but it can have other functions when the wielder reshapes it. My flight ability came directly from the aspect of the wind, and it isn't always precise like Cynthia's. It would be nice to have something to help me controlling my flight techniques.
I was thinking about flying before I reshaped the Red Porcelain Armor inside me into a pair of giant raven wings similar to Erik's wings. They grew out from my back, but their color was slightly different. It changed from raven black into deep dark blue like my own fur. I also use these newly made wings to defend myself as Wing Shields.
After seeing my wings, the Archangels asked for permission to add some kind of wings to themselves or their Arch Suits. They even asked that new Angels should have wings too, but later expanded that request to include all of their kind. It seems like they want all of them to reflect my image and honor me.
