The villagers, who were dumbfounded by the strength Xian Li had shown, felt a chill in their heart when they saw that he had died. They came out of their daze and called out for the other villagers. Though everyone was hididng, they were still watching the battle and had seen what that young man did for them.
All villagers rushed towards him in instant. The only person who knew medicine checked him for some time with a grave expression until finally declaring him dead. When they heard the words, they fell silent with tears starting to flow out of their eyes. There was a trace- no, they were truly saddened by the death of the young man.
The remaining villagers took the body of Xian Li and buried it at the best place they could find. They stood in front of the grave of their saviour and with a call they all bowed down.
...
At an unknown place.
Xian Li opened his eyes in horror.
Xian Li opened his eyes in horror. He rememberd how he had died and sighed.
"So this is what death feels like.... Truly Horrifying!"
Nobody knew what death felt like, not even the so called 'Heavens'. This was secret that only the Real Heavens or other ultimate beings might know.
Xian Li looked around, his eyes searching the darkness that surrounded him like a vast, endless sea. There was no ground beneath his feet, no sky above his head. He instinctively reached out with his Divine Sense... but found nothing.
It was gone. He was stripped bare.
Then, without warning, a piercing light tore through the darkness- not from above or below, but from everywhere at once. It wasn't warm or cold, not gentle or harsh, but something far beyond mortal comprehension. It forced Xian Li to shut his eyes. When he dared to open them again, the light had dimmed… and what lay before him made even his immortal heart falter.
A colossal circle hung suspended in the void, vast enough to swallow worlds, yet terrifyingly silent in its slow, steady motion. Around its edges, fragments of souls, glowing motes of light and shadow, drifted along like leaves in a ceaseless current.
Some of the souls shone brightly, full of warmth and longing. Others flickered weakly, their essence dimmed with sorrow or rage. They were drawn into the circle's flow, vanishing into its depths… and somewhere, far away, reborn again.
The cycle pulsed with the Feeling of rythm- Ancient, Sacred and inescapable.
Xian Li stared at it, the wheel of all existence turning before him — the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth. And for the first time in many years, he felt truly small.
But the moment he took his first step, everything came to a halt. The souls froze in their places, the wheel stopped rotating, even the void stood still.
The next moment, the world aroun Xian Li shattered like glass.
He found himself standing in front of a much smaller Cycle than the previous enormous Wheel. This was dimmer, less quiet and less vast like a faded of what he had just seen.
The moment he was transferred to this smaller Cycle Of Reincarnation, he falt a pull on his body. At this moment, the strength of the pull suddenly increased by several folds, taking Xian off-guard. He got pulled inside the cycle which seems to be unaffected by this as if it was natural.
Xian Li gave in his all and finally got a hold of his feets as he started moving opposite to the direction of the pull.
He was pushing the pull with all his might!
