Chapter 2 - Awakening in the Wild

Alright, I ran the poll and thought it over this story's gonna be no harem. Just one solid connection, and that's it.

Kane's POV

Kane woke up shirtless, barefoot, and furious in the middle of a forest outside Forks.

"FUCK YOUUU!" he roared, throwing both middle fingers at the sky.

The cold breeze brushed against his skin, but he barely noticed his eyes were locked on his arms. Thick cords of muscle flexed beneath his skin. He blinked, stunned, then grinned wide as he looked down at himself.

Chest.

Abs.

Arms.

Legs.

All of it ripped, massive, inhuman.

"Damn… look how big I am," Kane muttered, flexing a bicep and watching it swell like a boulder. A wicked grin stretched across his face.

"Let's see how powerful I am."

He punched the air and the force cracked like thunder.

A shockwave blasted through the trees, rustling leaves, shaking branches.

Eyes gleaming, Kane turned toward a nearby tree.

"Alright. Let's test this out."

He stepped forward and slammed his fist into the thick trunk. The entire tree split in half with a sickening crunch and crashed to the ground.

Kane threw his head back and laughed.

"HAHAHAHA!"

Then, suddenly, he felt it. A tug deep in his chest subtle but undeniable. Like something was calling him.

"So… that's where she is," he muttered, a smirk curling on his lips.

"But I'm not going to her," he added darkly. "I want her to come to me."

Rosalie's POV

I was in my room when the others suddenly called out to Alice she was having a vision.

When it ended, her eyes shot open and she looked straight at me, practically glowing with excitement.

"Rosalie… you have a mate," Alice said, her voice buzzing with energy.

I froze. My heart if it still beat would've stopped. A mate?

"Really?" I gasped, excitement rising in my chest. "What does he look like? What is he? When do I meet him?"

"Whoa, Rose calm down," Alice laughed, smiling at my reaction. "You'll scare him off before he gets here."

I took a breath, trying to play it cool. "Okay, I'm calm. Now talk. What does he look like?"

Alice's smile faded slightly as she stared past me, still caught in the memory.

"I saw him," she said, voice low. "He's… not like anything I've ever seen. He's huge absurdly huge. Muscles on top of muscles, like he was carved out of stone by something that wanted to scare the world."

I raised an eyebrow. "So? Big guys aren't rare."

Alice shook her head slowly. "No, Rosalie. He's different. His presence… it's heavy. Like gravity shifts when he moves. And his eyes he looked straight through me. Not curious. Not impressed. Just… calm. Controlled. Like a predator that doesn't need to chase."

Her gaze sharpened as she looked at me again.

"He's terrifying not because of what he does, but because of what he is. Like danger, wrapped in skin."

I went quiet. My jaw tightened as something unfamiliar twisted in my chest.

"Good," I said, eyes gleaming. "Let's see if he's as dangerous as he looks."
