Chapter 6 - The Reality of the City

We continued walking through the city, looking at the people and buildings with a cold, distant expression. We saw markets where creatures were sold into slavery, and taverns where people drank and played dice.

Suddenly, a group of thugs approached us, threatening us with knives and sticks.

"You're strangers here," one of them said harshly."you clearly don't the rules, give us the girls and everything you have pretty boy if you don't want to hurt your pretty face."

Thorne smiled coldly, drawing his sword from its scabbard.

"you vermins," he said. "don't deserve breathing the same air as me."

The fight was intense and fast, the lizards mans attacking with unusual ferocity. But we were well-trained and fought with precision and coordination.

I jumped in the air and rotate, twisting my blade into the enemy throat.

Lila predicted the green monsters attacks and fired indiscriminately arrows from her bow, aiming perfectly at their hideous head. Each arrow struck its target with deadly accuracy.

Kael stayed in his human form and kicked and punched the thugs ferociously.

Quickly, we properly managed to defeat the thugs, and the filthy street was quiet again.

"We must continue being careful we should stay unnoticed, don't use naxari," Thorne said. "This city is full of pests."

We nodded solemnly, knowing we had to remain vigilant to survive in this hostile city while continuing searching for a place to sleep and stay to make our journey preparation.
