Chapter 2 - Transmigrated

Slyus opened his eyes.

The first thing he noticed was the bright light flashing against his face as he lay on the white bed.

His arms and legs were strapped to something, so he couldn't move.

Not that he tried to; he had just woken up from a deep sleep, after all.

'Where am I?'

He turned his head to the left—

Bing! Bing!

The monitor blinked continuously, as if reading something on a map.

But it wasn't just that that caught his eye. Standing close to the monitor was a woman who looked to be a doctor.

She wore the usual generic white lab coat, with a slim black pencil skirt and a white shirt underneath.

Even though her back was turned to him, he could still see the shape of her perfectly round ass.

Her black hair was packed in a ponytail, making her look even more appealing from the back.

'Did I die and go to heaven?'

Slyus shook his head slightly.

'Seeing a beautiful angel like her doesn't mean I went to heaven. I did do some crazy shit while I was alive. Did I go to hell? That should be the question here.'

Suddenly, he remembered.

The ground swallowing him whole before he arrived in a different world. Monsters and gunshots—he remembered everything.

'That's right. I was sucked into this place. Fuck! I remember now, I was shot, wasn't I? But I was definitely injured. Dammit, I'm not dead, but being strapped to a bed isn't exactly keeping my mind at ease.'

He glanced at the woman again.

'She's dressed as a doctor, so I'm going to assume she was the one who healed me. But that isn't enough for me to let my guard down.

'For starters, I don't know where I am. The few things I do know are enough reason for me to be wary. I can't do anything drastic until I understand what is happening. Which means I need to learn as much as possible while I am here.'

As if on cue, the female doctor turned around.

Sylus quickly closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep.

Though it was for a brief moment, he definitely saw her face. She was beautiful, head to toe.

Her black stockings clung to her skin, her boobs almost pushing out of her shirt. The only thing stopping them were the buttons fighting for their dear lives.

Slyus had never seen anyone so good-looking.

Which was strange—the woman looked so much like a game character or a doll.

Her skin was flawless, not even a single hint of dead pores or anything like it. Her hair was so straight and silky that, if he had to guess, he would say she was drawn.

Could someone actually look that perfect?

How come she looked familiar?

"Sigh! Why am I always the one having to look after these men every time a new one is discovered? It gets exhausting."

Slyus could not see her, but he already knew she was close to his bed.

Her perfume, the scent of lavender and a bit of honey.

"Maybe I should get Rachel to replace me."

'The hell is a Rachel?'

Baam!

The woman sat down on the chair beside Slyus's bed.

Crossing her long legs, she rested her back on the chair while holding a sheet of paper.

"Nah, I doubt she'd agree. She's transferring to Feric Headquarters. Tsk! I don't blame her, to be honest; this place is a joke as it is." She scoffed, "We've only discovered 13 men who have Affinity to make Avatars—pathetic. At this rate, our city will fall before we know it."

The woman suddenly grunted frustratedly.

"Why won't the Major just admit she is no longer competent and let us merge with another headquarters? It can't be that bad."

Sigh!

"I'm ranting to myself again."

The woman stood up and suddenly placed her ear on Slyus's chest.

Her boobs pressed against his ribs.

Slyus tried so hard to maintain his composure; even if he was being tempted by the devil, he wasn't supposed to crack so easily because of some boobs.

Or so he thought.

"Oh? You're awake, aren't you?"

Slyus flinched.

'Fuck, how did she know? Wait, maybe she's just testing the waters; there's a chance she doesn't know I'm awake.'

He kept at it, ignoring her words and faking sleep.

The woman stared at him for a while, then puffed her cheeks, upset that Slyus had just ignored her.

"It's rude to ignore someone. Especially after they saved you from dying."

Slyus still didn't respond.

"Fine then, ignore me. Just know I'll be taking back my favor. I don't want to save you anymore, so I'll be killing you back. Let me find my injection first."

"Good morning."

Slyus suddenly sat upright, a neutral expression on his face.

To his surprise, the woman was still seated on the chair and had never actually gotten up to look for anything.

"So you were awake after all..."

Slyus turned to look at her.

"No, I just woke up."

"Is that so?" The woman laughed a bit. "You're a funny one. I should introduce myself.

"The name is Radia Landon; I am the head of the medical department for the NOX headquarters. Nice to meet you, Mr—"

In that moment, Slyus realized why Radia looked so familiar when he first laid eyes on her.

Radia Landon, a senior medical staff member under the NOX Headquarters. She was talented and very knowledgeable about things most people wouldn't even know about.

And also, this beautiful woman seated in front of him existed in the gacha game he played before getting sucked into the dark hole.

In other words, she existed in the game.

Slyus could barely believe his eyes.

Now that he thought of it, the room he was in looked very similar to the background of her opening scene.

With one hand resting on his lap and looking directly at the girl,

Slyus came to the conclusion—

'I got transmigrated into the gacha game.'
