Chapter 1 - chapter 1

In this world, there are chosen individuals who possess special powers—like the ability to shape-shift or control fire from within themselves.

They are called Arclhos, marked by a red lotus-shaped tattoo on their right hand. Arclhos are neither heroes nor villains. They are simply ordinary people with extraordinary abilities. Some choose to fight for good, while others are lost in darkness.

A few Arclhos have a unique trait: their hair color changes based on the power they wield. However, this only happens to a small number of them.

---

That night, the sky was pitch black. Heavy gray clouds loomed above, accompanied by thunder that rumbled the earth—almost as if the world itself was warning that something great had just happened.

Under the dark sky, a middle-aged man stood, looking up with a worried expression. He was Vendra Haiga, a member of the Veyron—now a mentor for the next generation.

Vendra: "It seems… the sealed cursed power has been used by someone..."

His gaze was full of unease. What would happen next? What was unfolding right now?

Vendra belonged to Veyron, the guardians of Netora City who wore outfits resembling assassins. Their attire varied in color, matching their powers or personal preferences.

Their mission? To protect the city of Netora from threats beyond the capabilities of normal humans.

---

Six Years Later

That night, in one of Netora's dark and narrow alleys, a young man lay unconscious. With pale skin and a weakened body, he appeared lifeless. His white hair was streaked with blue.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed nearby. A young man dressed in full ninja gear approached the limp body.

Glen Alquma: "Uhh, guys!!! I think I found something… rather depressing here…"

Glen Alquma, a young man with earth powers, had black hair, a dark brown costume, a mole near his eye, and dark brown eyes.

Roy Altero: "Ooh, what is it? Wait… don't tell me it's a ruined cake?"

Roy Altero, fire wielder, had dark red hair, a fiery red outfit, and reddish golden eyes.

Lyn Haiga: "Roy! Is your brain only filled with food?! That's a person, not cake!"

Lyn Haiga, an electricity user, had silver hair hidden beneath a hijab, a crystal blue uniform, and striking crystal blue eyes.

Noa Syren: "Lyn's right, that's a person. But how did he end up here? Isn't Mr. Pinko supposed to make sure things like this don't happen in the city?"

Noa Syren, a water wielder, had black hair and wore a sky-blue uniform with soft blue-gray eyes.

Glen crouched beside the young man, examining him closely.

Glen: "Noa's right. Doesn't the city provide free shelter?"

Their attention was then drawn to one detail.

Roy: "Hey, look at his right hand…"

Everyone turned to look.

Lyn: "Wait, what's wrong with his hand… Huh!? He's an Arclhos!"

Glen: "Why would an Arclhos be here?" (He extended his hands toward the unconscious man.)

Noa: "We don't know what happened. We should bring him to HQ. Maybe Master Ven can analyze him."

Glen: "Alright then, let's help carry him."

They all quickly lifted the man and brought him to the Veyron headquarters—a hidden fortress on a hilltop.

At Veyron HQ

Once there, Glen and the others brought the young man inside.

Roy: "Master! Look what we found!!!"

Everyone covered their ears at Roy's shout.

Lyn: "Roy! There's no need to yell!"

Roy: "I was making sure Master could hear clearly!"

Noa: "Do you think Master Ven is deaf?"

Roy: "Hey, that's not what I meant!"

Glen calmly carried the young man to the guest room and laid him on the bed.

Heavy footsteps approached. Vendra Haiga finally arrived.

Roy: "See? He came quickly!"

Noa: (Sighs and rolls eyes) "Haa, whatever…"

Vendra's eyes landed on the figure lying in bed.

Vendra (Master Ven): "What is this…? Why did you bring him here instead of a hospital?"

Lyn: "Father, look at his hand."

Vendra stepped closer and examined it carefully. His eyes widened.

Ven: "!!!!!!! He's an Arclhos!?"

Roy (grinning proudly): "Exactly! That's why we brought him here!"

Noa: "How is he, Master?"

Ven checked the young man's condition.

Ven: "I believe he only fainted from hunger. No injuries found."

Glen: "So… should we wait for him to wake up?"

Lyn: "What else can we do?"

Ven sighed deeply.

Ven: "It's already late. All of you should rest. We'll check on him again tomorrow."

They exchanged glances. There was no other choice.
