Chapter 188 - Chapter 189: Megatron Is Stunned—Who’s the Real Decepticon Here?

"What?!"

"No way!"

It wasn't just Colonel Stenson and Peggy Carter who were stunned—

Even Megatron and his fellow Decepticons were thrown into complete disbelief.

To them, humans were always weak. Inferior. Pathetic ants not even worth crushing.

And now…

One of them had just vaporized a Decepticon with a single attack?

Unacceptable. Unimaginable. Unbelievable.

If they hadn't witnessed it themselves, they wouldn't have believed it even for a second.

But Alex didn't give them the time to recover.

Zzzt—

Another searing blast of heat vision carved through the air as Alex turned and aimed for a second Decepticon.

RATATATATA!

The rest of the Decepticons immediately opened fire.

Heavy plasma rounds, minigun bursts, and missile barrages rained down in a furious storm, engulfing Alex in a wall of fire.

"DIE!" one of them roared.

A smirk tugged at Megatron's lips.

This time—for sure. Not even this freak could walk away from that.

Peggy and Stenson froze, breath caught in their lungs.

Could Alex actually… be dead?

But then—

The smoke cleared.

And he stood there.

Untouched.

Unbothered.

Not a scratch on him.

The silence that followed was deafening.

"What the hell…?"

The Decepticons faltered.

If bullets, plasma, missiles—nothing worked…

Then who was the real monster here?

Alex's eyes glowed.

Zzzt!

Before they could regroup, his laser vision slashed again—

And the second Decepticon's head hit the ground with a heavy thud.

Zzzt. Zzzt.

There was no pause.

The beams whipped across the battlefield with surgical precision.

Another Decepticon toppled. Then another.

The remaining three scrambled for cover, ducking behind twisted metal and ruined vehicles, not daring to peek out.

The tide had turned—

No. The battle had turned. In a matter of seconds.

One of the remaining Decepticons peeked out and fired a cannon blast at Alex.

BOOM!

But Alex's figure vanished in a sonic blur—

and reappeared right in front of the Decepticon's face.

His fist clenched.

And then—

CRACK!

A punch like a meteor sent the metal giant flying.

The impact rocked the ground.

Even those watching from afar felt the tremor in their bones.

The Decepticon tried to stand—only for Alex to shoot up again and come down like a missile.

WHAM!

He stomped the machine into the dirt and began pummeling.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Metal crumpled. Sparks exploded. Limbs flew.

The hulking alien war machine was reduced to a twitching heap.

Those watching swallowed hard.

It wasn't just a beatdown—it was a demolition.

Like a man swatting a bug.

One punch after another.

And this wasn't even Alex going all out.

If he used his full strength—over a thousand tons—one blow would've turned the Decepticon into scrap instantly.

But he held back.

He didn't want Megatron developing a psychological trauma just yet.

CLANG!

Another Decepticon rushed in, brandishing a massive sword.

He swung with full force—aiming to cleave Alex in two.

Alex raised his hand—

CLANG!

—and caught the blade.

With his bare hand.

The sword froze mid-air, gripped in place.

No matter how hard the Decepticon pulled, it didn't budge an inch.

Just minutes ago, Megatron had used a similar attack to cleave a tank in half.

Now, the same move couldn't scratch a human.

The irony was painful.

Zzzt!

Still holding the blade, Alex fired heat vision again.

The Decepticon panicked, yanking his sword back just in time to block the beam.

The blade glowed red-hot.

BOOM!

Alex followed up with a fist to the chest—

and the Decepticon flew backward.

Before he could land, Alex blurred forward again, hammering down with blow after blow.

Meanwhile, the Decepticon he'd been smashing earlier… was now a pile of twisted scrap.

"Lord Megatron…"

Barricade's voice crackled over the comms.

"We need to retreat."

Megatron said nothing.

But the tension in his metallic frame was visible.

The human was too strong.

And they were outnumbered.

If they stayed, they wouldn't just fail to retrieve the AllSpark—they'd die.

Megatron hated it.

But he wasn't a fool.

"Retreat."

His voice rumbled.

Clank. Clank. Clank.

Barricade immediately transformed into a car and tore away at high speed.

Megatron took to the air and vanished into the clouds.

"Alex! They're escaping! We can't let them get away!"

Peggy's shout rang out from behind her cover.

But Alex didn't even glance her way.

He calmly finished off the Decepticon under his foot.

And made no move to chase.

By the time Peggy scrambled out to confront him, both Megatron and Barricade were gone.

"What are you doing?!" she demanded, her voice tight with anger. "That was Megatron! He's the real threat! Why didn't you chase him?! You let him escape! You—"

She never finished the sentence.

Because Alex—calmly, slowly—reached out and grabbed her by the throat.
