Chapter 488 - Chapter 489 — Cooperation with Kang; A Universe Full of Spider-Men

"Hank!"

Once Alex made his decision, he immediately nodded toward Hank.

Hank understood without needing further explanation.

He ordered his assistants to hurry back to the lab and fetch the TVA's dimensional travel device.

Alex couldn't help finding the situation ironic.

He had literally just finished looking down on those devices…

And now they were indispensable.

This slap in the face was loud and clear.

Soon enough, Hank's assistant returned with the device.

Without wasting a second, Hank activated it.

SHOOM—

A golden portal opened.

Alex didn't hesitate.

He stepped through—

—and reappeared inside the TVA.

"He's back!"

"It's him!"

"He came again!"

The moment Alex stepped out, panicked shouts erupted all around.

Every TVA agent walking the halls froze, staring at him like terrified civilians spotting a world-ending boss monster.

Their faces were full of dread and trauma.

After all—

Not long ago, Alex had single-handedly flattened the entire TVA.

Their nightmares were still fresh.

"Everyone, resume your duties."

A firm voice echoed.

Judge Ravonna Renslayer appeared, flanked by several elite guards.

She saw the agents frozen in fear and could only sigh helplessly before stepping forward to calm the situation.

Once the crowd quieted, she approached Alex.

She subtly scanned him from head to toe—

Her expression filled with confusion and disbelief.

The Time Keepers had personally summoned this man?

This man who just recently tore the TVA apart like paper?

Did the Time Keepers forget everything he did?

Why were they not even slightly concerned?

Who exactly was this "Homelander"?

What kind of being could make even the Time Keepers look unfazed?

Despite her doubts, Ravonna straightened, cleared her thoughts, and said politely:

"Come with me, Homelander. The Time Keepers are waiting for you."

Without further comment, she led Alex into the Keepers' chamber.

Inside—

The three Time Keepers had once again been fully restored.

Even the one Alex had casually decapitated previously was back in perfect condition.

"Homelander, I didn't expect we'd meet again so soon."

The middle Keeper spoke—

Kang the Conqueror behind the puppet wearing a gentle smile.

Clearly, he was in a good mood.

"Well, you know how life goes—unpredictable."

Alex shrugged.

"Yes, who knows what the future holds?

I used to see every single event before it happened, and your unreadable future should've frustrated me…

But surprisingly, it brings me joy."

"It's like watching a movie—seeing what twists appear, what dangers you encounter.

At least I'm no longer bored."

Kang sounded like he was chatting with an old friend.

But Alex was not in the mood for small talk.

"Let's get to the point.

You already know why I'm here."

Alex locked eyes with the Time Keeper.

"Help me this time, and I'll owe you a favor."

"A fair trade."

Kang accepted without hesitation.

Helping Alex would not affect the Sacred Timeline in any meaningful way.

And the cost to him was negligible.

So he simply told Alex the answer.

"Thanks, Kang.

I need to save them as soon as possible, so I won't stay."

Alex waved casually, then teleported away from the TVA.

He returned to Krakoa—

"How was it, Alex?"

"Did you find it?"

Charles, Erik, Hank, and the others rushed up instantly, eyes filled with desperate hope.

"I know which universe it came from."

Alex nodded.

Everyone exhaled with visible relief.

Without delay, Alex raised the Infinity Gauntlet and opened another portal.

"Everyone, wait for my good news."

With that, he stepped through—

CRACK—

The portal closed behind him.

Alex vanished completely from Krakoa.

Moments later—

Alex appeared in another parallel universe.

First step:

Gather intelligence.

He activated his super-hearing and blanketed the entire world in an instant.

Countless voices poured into his mind—

"We interrupt with tragic breaking news—Spider-Man has died."

"His death is believed to be connected to the mysterious quake that struck Brooklyn earlier today."

"Multiple confirmations indicate Peter Parker, a twenty-six-year-old intern and part-time photographer, has secretly been Spider-Man for nearly a decade."

Alex paused, raising a brow.

Spider-Man… died?

At twenty-six?

Surprisingly early for a Spider-Man.

But he only sighed briefly.

Whether Spider-Man lived or died had nothing to do with his mission.

He needed to find the one who opened a quantum breach—

Then enter the Quantum Realm from that point to rescue Raven and the others.

He spread his senses further—

Soon, he understood this universe:

No Avengers.

No X-Men.

But it does have a Spider-Man.

Basically—

a standalone Spider-Man universe, much like the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield timelines.

Then—

More voices came through.

"What the—? Another Spider-Man?!"

"And he's also Peter?!"

"Where's Gwen? Is there a Gwen in this world too?!"

"I—I'm dead?!

But look, my hair's blonde. Perfect. I was clearly the perfect Spider-Man in my universe too!"

"This world is so colorful.

It's nothing like my universe."

"Well, at least the Spider-Man here has a nicer suit."

Alex blinked.

These voices weren't from this universe's people.

These were voices from—

OTHER Spider-Men.

Spider-Men who were not from this universe.

Spider-Men who had crossed over.

Dozens of them.

Possibly more.

Just like Alex—

They were visitors from other worlds.
