Chapter 559 - Chapter 560: The Eternals Scared Out of Their Wits—What Kind of Monster Is the Homelander?!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of dull, heavy impacts rang out.

The Eternals who had launched attacks at Alex were all sent crashing to the ground, completely disoriented, stars spinning in their heads.

When they looked at Alex again, their eyes were filled with indescribable shock.

Inside their hearts, stormy waves surged.

So this is the Homelander?

This is terrifying beyond belief!

All of the Eternals joining forces, yet in front of the Homelander they were as weak as ants—utterly helpless!

They had always known the Homelander was incredibly strong, even mythologized by Earth's humans.

But they had never imagined he could be strong to such an unfathomable degree!

Buzz—

After crushing the Eternals like thunder, Alex willed it with a thought, and his vast telekinetic power continued to pour out.

Like Mount Tai pressing down, it slammed onto every single Eternal.

In that instant—

All the Eternals' bodies shuddered violently, whether they were already lying on the ground or still standing.

No one was spared.

Even Ikaris, who had just flown up and was about to charge at Alex again, was swatted down like a fly midair and smashed brutally into the ground.

Looking around, every Eternal was pinned tightly to the earth, unable to move at all.

As if a real mountain were crushing them.

Forget attacking Alex—they couldn't even shift their bodies by a single inch.

"H–How is this possible?!"

"There's actually such a freak on this planet?!"

"Is this the Homelander's true strength?!"

All of the Eternals were completely petrified, their minds outright crashing.

They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

In front of the Homelander, they were so insignificant—

So insignificant it was laughable.

"The only reason you're still alive right now is because I have questions for you," Alex said coldly.

"I smell a conspiracy."

"I don't know whether someone is using your hands to kill me, or using my hands to kill you. But no matter which it is, I won't let the one behind the scenes get what they want."

That was precisely why Alex had only suppressed the Eternals instead of killing any of them.

If someone wanted to use Alex to wipe out the Eternals, killing them recklessly would only let that hidden mastermind succeed.

If, on the other hand, the Eternals truly intended to kill Alex, then he naturally wouldn't let it slide.

He would simply wait until the truth was clear before making his move.

After all, in front of him, these Eternals were nothing more than ants.

Whether they died sooner or later made no real difference.

"Homelander, stop talking nonsense! If you've got the guts, release me and let's fight to the death!"

Ikaris refused to give Alex any chance and immediately shouted to interrupt him.

"You think we Eternals are afraid of you?!"

Boom!

Before he could finish speaking, Alex threw a punch through the air.

A telekinetic fist slammed violently into Ikaris.

Crack!

The sound of bones breaking rang out.

"Pfft!"

Ikaris couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.

"Shh. Be quiet."

Alex released another surge of telekinesis, sealing Ikaris's mouth shut.

He was rendered completely unable to speak.

"Alright," Alex said calmly, sweeping his gaze across the Eternals.

"Now, who wants to tell me why you're trying to kill me?"

At this moment, the Eternals also began to sense that something was… off.

Simply put, the Homelander's behavior didn't add up.

If things were really as Ikaris claimed—if the Homelander had killed Ajak in order to find Arishem and oppose him—then why would he be wasting time on these irrelevant questions?

Shouldn't he be pressing them for information on how to find Arishem instead?

Unless the Homelander had some bizarre hobby of playing dumb?

"Homelander… you really don't know why?"

Sersi, pinned to the ground, asked with great difficulty.

"What do you think?" Alex shot back.

"If I already knew, would I still be wasting words on you?"

"Do I look that bored?"

Sersi was left speechless.

But she had to admit—what Alex said made perfect sense.

"You killed Ajak! We're avenging Ajak!"

Sprite, lying on the ground, shouted out.

???

What?

That answer genuinely caught Alex off guard.

If that was the case, then someone really was trying to use the Eternals' hands to kill him.

So who exactly was behind this?

Alex already had a vague suspicion, but he still needed confirmation.

"Ajak is already dead?"

"So someone made you believe that I killed Ajak."

"If that's why you attacked me, then I can tell you clearly—you're mistaken."

"Ajak did not die by my hand."

Alex explained calmly.

"Homelander, you think we'll believe you just because you say so?"

Gilgamesh roared at Alex.

To be honest, this guy really wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Some things were already obvious to the other Eternals, yet he still hadn't figured them out.

"Gilgamesh, I think the Homelander is telling the truth," Phastos spoke up.

"With his level of strength, if he really killed Ajak, how could Ikaris still be alive?"

That was the biggest inconsistency.

The Homelander was simply too strong—so strong that he could crush and sweep through all the Eternals alone without the slightest effort.

In that case, killing both Ajak and Ikaris would be nothing more than a flick of his hand.

How could Ajak be dead while Ikaris escaped?

According to Ikaris, he had personally witnessed the Homelander kill Ajak!

Did that mean Ikaris had hidden in the shadows the entire time, watching the Homelander act without ever revealing himself?

That was obviously impossible.

Something was clearly wrong.

"I don't know what that person told you," Alex continued,

"But today, I arranged to meet Ajak here because she helped me arrange a meeting with Arishem."

"And that meeting was something Ajak strongly pushed for."

Alex then explained in detail how Ajak had sought him out, recounting everything clearly to the Eternals.

What he described was completely different from Ikaris's version of events.

And when Alex had someone bring over the footage of his discussion with Ajak in the royal hall and played it for them—

All the Eternals fell silent.

At this point, the truth was basically beyond doubt.

If the Homelander were really as Ikaris claimed, why would he go through the trouble of preparing such footage?

No one with a functioning brain would do something like that.
