Aquaman Arthur tightened his grip on the trident in his hands and swung it fiercely, smashing it toward the Destroyer charging at him.
Clap!
A light sound rang out.
Arthur's trident froze in midair.
Because the Destroyer had caught it—with its clawed hand.
Arthur's pupils shrank slightly, his face instantly filled with grave seriousness.
From that head-on clash alone, the Destroyer's terrifying strength was already obvious.
At the very least, in terms of raw power, it was no weaker than Aquaman.
Screee—screee!
Letting out a scalp-tingling shriek, the Destroyer's wings beat violently as it continued pressing forward.
Arthur was dragged straight into the air, then—

Using this brute-force "manual braking," Arthur managed to stop himself.
But the Destroyer had already flapped its wings and rushed right in front of him.
"Ha!"
Arthur let out a fierce shout and once again drove the trident into the ground.
Buzz!
A violent shockwave erupted outward like a surging tide.
BOOM!
The charging Destroyer was blasted away like a skiff struck by a giant wave.
It flipped through the air and slammed heavily into the ground, blasting out a huge crater.
The surrounding Parademons caught in the shockwave fell from the sky like dumplings, hitting the ground motionless.
But the Destroyer?
It stood back up immediately, shook its head, and showed no signs of injury at all.
Then it charged straight at Aquaman once more.
Arthur's expression turned extremely grim. His grip on the trident tightened further.
He charged forward again to meet the Destroyer head-on.
The two launched into an intensely brutal battle.
Screee—screee—screee!
But in the very next moment—
Arthur's face darkened.
Because another Destroyer flew straight toward him.
One was already forcing him to fight at full strength.
Two?
The situation was becoming extremely dire.
And it wasn't just Aquaman.
The other members of the Justice League were facing the same nightmare.
Rat-tat-tat!
Rat-tat-tat!
Amid the dense roar of gunfire, Cyborg Victor Stone was flying in the air, locked in a furious aerial battle with three Destroyers.
Those Destroyers were each wielding weapons of their own, deftly dodging Cyborg's attacks while continuously pulling their triggers.

BAM!
In the midst of the fight, Cyborg was struck by an energy blast.
His body flipped uncontrollably as he crashed down from the sky.
Boom!
He slammed hard into the ground.
"Victor!"
Wonder Woman cried out in alarm—but she had no chance to go help him.
Because she herself was already trapped in a desperate struggle.
These Destroyers were far stronger than ordinary Parademons.
Just a few of them were enough to completely overwhelm her.
"Heh…"
Watching the Justice League members fall into bitter combat, teetering on the brink of defeat—
DeSaad couldn't help curling his lips into a smug smile.
Just as he had expected, these clowns of Earth were utterly insignificant.
The only one he truly needed to take seriously was—
DeSaad lifted his head, his sharp gaze locking onto the sky, where Superman was calmly dealing with the Destroyers.

A Destroyer flew straight toward Superman, swinging its claws—sharp enough to tear through metal—straight at him.

Superman simply threw a punch.
The Destroyer was blasted away like a punching bag.
Whoosh!
Another Destroyer rushed in immediately after.
Fwoosh!
Superman merely turned his head.
Twin beams of blazing heat vision swept out—
And once again, a Destroyer was effortlessly sent flying.
The difference was obvious.
While the other Justice League members struggled desperately against two or three Destroyers—
Superman alone was casually sweeping through entire groups with ease.
It had to be said.
Superman really was absurdly overpowered.
But unfortunately—
DeSaad was no fool either.
"Kryptonian, if I hadn't prepared in advance, dealing with you really would've been troublesome."
"But unfortunately for you—"
"I never fight an unprepared battle."
As DeSaad finished speaking, he ripped off his outer robe.
Beneath it was a sleek, terrifyingly advanced suit of armor.
That's right.
DeSaad was not only a high-level combatant—
He was also Apokolips' top super-scientist.
His personal technology was terrifyingly powerful.
And this time—
Across his armor, various sections glowed with brilliant green light.
They were—
Kryptonite.
To deal specifically with Superman, DeSaad had modified his armor with kryptonite modules.
Whoosh!
With a cold smile, DeSaad shot into the air, flying straight toward Superman.
At the same time, a green kryptonite blade extended from his armored arm.
Slash!
He swung it straight at Superman.
"Not good!"
Superman's expression changed drastically.
Kryptonite—
His deadly poison!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Armed with kryptonite weaponry, DeSaad and Superman clashed in a ferocious battle.
But the Superman who had previously dominated everything—
Was immediately suppressed once kryptonite came into play.
From beginning to end, he was beaten so badly by DeSaad that he looked utterly helpless.
Stab!
Finally—
DeSaad drove the kryptonite blade straight into Superman's chest, piercing him completely.
Superman's body shuddered violently.
Then he fell from the sky.
He crashed to the ground like a lifeless rag doll, lying there completely motionless.
And even before Superman was defeated—
The rest of the Justice League had already fallen one by one.
Cyborg Victor Stone had lost an entire arm, pinned to the ground like a dead dog by a Destroyer.
Batman had long since passed out.
The Flash and Aquaman were covered in wounds, sprawled on the ground, utterly unable to continue fighting.
Only Wonder Woman was still barely holding on—
But from the looks of it, she wouldn't last much longer.
BAM!
Sure enough—
In the midst of the battle, Wonder Woman was struck by an energy blast from a Destroyer.
She too collapsed to the ground.
