Chapter 586 - Chapter 587: Explosive Growth in Power, the Kryptonian Girl Who Fell from the Sky

Whoosh!

In an instant, Alex immediately felt a tremendous change surge through his body.

A boost of 300,000 Origin Points was no small increase.

After entering the system and checking his stats, Alex discovered that after the previous mission, this mission, and the many days spent absorbing cosmic energy, his strength had reached a full 500,000 tons, while his speed had climbed to 250,000 meters per second!

This level of power was nothing short of terrifying.

Excellent. Truly excellent.

Alex was in an exceptionally good mood.

---

"According to available information, the aliens who invaded Earth this time are terrifying creatures known as Parademons."

"Alex, Superman, and Batman played crucial roles in repelling this alien invasion—especially Alex, whose contribution was decisive."

"We can see fans of Alex gathering all around the world, expressing their gratitude to him."

"This alien invasion has caused a massive shift in global attitudes toward superheroes!"

Over the next several days, news of Darkseid's invasion continued to ferment. Not only did the discussion fail to cool down—it grew even more intense.

The entire world passionately debated the war, with governments and civilians alike voicing their opinions nonstop.

And 'Alex' became the absolute center of all discussion, repeatedly mentioned and analyzed by countless people.

Through this battle, the once low-key Alex shot straight to the top, becoming the world's number one idol.

He was worshipped and adored by countless people. According to media statistics, Alex's fan count had surpassed three billion.

Consider this: the global population was just over six billion.

That meant nearly one out of every two people on Earth was an Alex fan.

The numbers were downright frightening.

---

"You've become a hero to all mankind now."

Inside Alex's apartment, Clark said with a smile.

"Seems like it," Alex shrugged indifferently. "But unfortunately, I can't really take on that title."

Alex knew himself well. Whether it was killing Darkseid or wiping out Steppenwolf, he had never done it to save the world.

He was just harvesting rewards—nothing more.

The fate of this world didn't truly matter to him.

The word hero didn't really suit him.

And to be fair, Alex had never wanted that title anyway.

"You say that every time," Clark said, looking like he had seen through Alex, "but every time something happens, you still step in."

Every time, Alex acted like he didn't care.

Yet whenever disaster struck, Alex was always there.

He just refused to admit it.

Clark, however, believed he had "seen through" him.

Alex: "..."

Fine.

Superman was clearly misunderstanding something—but Alex couldn't be bothered to explain.

---

"How long are you planning to stay in our world this time?"

Clark asked after some casual chatting.

"Hard to say. Probably not much longer," Alex replied after thinking for a moment.

By his count, he had only spent about half a year in the DC world.

Not that long.

Yet in that time, he had already completed two major missions—both extremely high-level ones.

Now that Steppenwolf and Darkseid were both dead, the DC world was practically close to being "cleared."

Under those circumstances, Alex naturally began considering whether it was time to head to another world to farm new missions.

Of course, there was no rush.

He planned to stay in DC for a few more days, visit several key cities, and see whether he could still trigger another task.

---

"Alex, I need to thank you. Everyone in our world needs to thank you."

Clark spoke again, his tone sincere and heartfelt.

For someone from another universe to repeatedly save their world—Clark, as the only one who truly knew this truth, was genuinely grateful.

"You've already said that many times," Alex said with a light chuckle.

"Even so, it's still not enough to express how thankful I am," Clark sighed.

After staying for another half hour or so, Clark finally left.

Three days later, Alex also left Metropolis, traveling to Star City, Central City, and Gotham in turn.

He stayed in each city for two to three months.

Unfortunately, no new missions were triggered.

Just as Alex was about to take out the Infinity Gauntlet and return to the Marvel world, his expression suddenly changed.

He sensed something.

"Interesting."

A faint, intrigued smile appeared at the corner of Alex's mouth.

Boom!

His figure vanished from the spot.

In the next instant, Alex appeared in a desolate mountain area whose name he didn't even know.

He stood there casually with his arms crossed, as if waiting for something to descend.

Boom!

Not long after Alex appeared, another sonic boom rang out.

Then his vision blurred slightly as a familiar figure appeared before him.

It was Superman.

Clark glanced briefly toward the sky, then looked back at Alex and greeted him:

"It's been so long—I thought you'd already gone back."

"That was the plan," Alex shrugged. "But I didn't expect this…"

As he spoke, he looked up toward the sky.

Clark understood immediately.

Just like him, Alex had been drawn here by the same thing.

At this very moment, a spacecraft was racing toward Earth from within the atmosphere.

No—crashing toward Earth would be more accurate.

Because Alex could hear it clearly: panicked cries coming from inside the ship.

The voice belonged to a little girl.

Judging by the trajectory, the final crash site would be exactly where Alex and Superman were standing.

Whoosh!

While Alex and Superman exchanged a few words, the spacecraft had already come into view.

Then, right before their eyes, it slammed violently into the ground.

Boom!

Superman shot forward and ripped open the hatch of the ship.

A youthful, beautiful girl appeared before Alex.

"You're a Kryptonian too!"

Superman stared at the girl inside the ship, shock written all over his face.
