Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: "Transmigration Diary"

"...I wonder if the Ancient Sun God will properly discipline Amon. Sigh, but I can't stay in this place anymore." Luo Lin shook his head, picked up the Worms of Time scattered on the ground, didn't linger in this area, quickly packed his luggage, and prepared to flee.

Although the Ancient Sun God had sealed the space when He thrashed Amon, the seal had now been lifted. Who knew if official Beyonders or Amon's true body would come looking? Luo Lin felt it was better for him to move and live elsewhere.

As for being tracked later—tracking through mysticism—Luo Lin wasn't actually worried. As a vessel for Nyarla's power, it would be strange if the Beyonders of this world could divine his whereabouts.

And as for physical traces, Luo Lin, who had rich experience being tracked in the past, naturally knew how to eliminate them cleanly.

By the time the official Beyonders sensed something was amiss and came to Luo Lin's original address to investigate, Luo Lin had already blended into the vast and complex city of Backlund like a drop of water into the ocean.

That afternoon, a certain house on a certain street in the Hillston Borough welcomed a new resident.

After seeing off the temporarily hired maid who helped clean the room, Luo Lin closed the doors and windows, put away the freshly cleaned beakers and other tools, then took out a small suitcase. From it, he removed materials like pure water, golden mint leaves, colchicum essence, and elf flowers.

These were all auxiliary ingredients needed to concoct the "Fun Seeker" potion. Finally, he took out an iron cigarette case from the small suitcase. Upon opening it, a single Worm of Time lay quietly inside.

Naturally, there was more than just this one Worm of Time left behind after Amon's avatar self-destructed, but Luo Lin had put the others away for future use.

However, Luo Lin didn't rush to concoct the "Fun Seeker" potion. Instead, he took out one last item from the small suitcase: a blank notebook that had been deliberately aged. On its title page were several large Chinese characters: "Transmigration Diary."

Luo Lin then opened the notebook, a thoughtful expression on his face, as if he were composing a story plot in his mind. After a few seconds, a pleased smile touched Luo Lin's lips, and he began to write on the first page:

"June 29th, Sunny.

It's been three days since I arrived in this world. No matter how much I don't want to admit it, I have to acknowledge one thing: I've transmigrated to another world, and I can't go back.

Well, so many people transmigrate in this world; it doesn't seem particularly strange that it's my turn. Looking on the bright side, at least my current wealth means I don't have to worry about food or drink. I can just 'lie flat' and directly skip decades of struggle."

"June 30th, Cloudy.

I take back what I said yesterday. It turns out this world has extraordinary powers. And while my current identity is, on the surface, just an ordinary young master from a wealthy family, I'm actually a member of a mystical family with a long lineage, whose ancestors were prominent and have produced Beyonders for generations.

Good news: I can become a Beyonder! I can even choose to follow the Seer, Apprentice, or Marauder pathway.

Bad news: I just found out our family has an incredibly powerful enemy named Amon, who will impartially devour every member of the Zoroast family he encounters.

LOL, I can't 'lie flat' at all."

"July 1st, Overcast.

I've decided to become a Marauder. After all, this is the pathway our family has the most complete grasp of. For the Apprentice and Diviner pathways, the family only has knowledge of the low to mid-Sequences, making it harder to advance further.

Although I don't think I can definitely become a demigod, if there's an easier path, why make things difficult for myself?

Anyway, I hear Amon eats Seer, Apprentices, and Marauders all the same."

"July 2nd, Heavy Rain.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

I encountered Amon, ahhh! I was almost eaten! Luckily, Amon is a sadistic pleasure-seeker and decided to 'raise' me for a while, waiting until my Sequence is higher before eating me.

I need to think hard about how to escape before He eats me.

Fortunately, Amon doesn't know Chinese, so I can write down my thoughts and plans in Chinese, constantly reviewing and refining them to avoid forgetting."

"Done!" Luo Lin put down his pen, looking satisfied at the diary entries he had just fabricated. His purpose in writing these few entries was, of course, none other than to later disguise them as Roselle's Diary and sell them to members of the Tarot Club.

Through this, he would dupe... oh no, use the diary to remind a certain future Mr. Fool of the dangers he might encounter, provide him with a little help, and incidentally, slander Amon a bit.

Of course, depending on the situation, he could also slander others in the diary in the future.

To be honest, Luo Lin was quite interested in Klein. He himself had never been what one would call a good person, so he particularly admired truly good people like him.

It was the existence of such good people that made Luo Lin feel the world wasn't so rotten after all, and that being alive wasn't too bad a thing.

Moreover, Klein, as the future Lord of Mysteries, was an excellent investment target. If he built up some goodwill now, in three years, Luo Lin could reliably borrow power at the level of a Half-Great Old One. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Therefore, in Luo Lin's plans, he certainly intended to make contact with Klein and didn't mind helping out within his capabilities. Besides, Klein wouldn't lack for fun and powerful figures around him, which could satisfy two of Luo Lin's needs at once.

Luo Lin even planned to inadvertently reveal his identity as a "fellow transmigrator" when he came into contact with Klein, wanting to see Klein's reaction.

He'd probably be surprised but wouldn't acknowledge it directly, instead choosing to observe secretly first?

After all, Mr. Fool is a cautious person!

Thinking of this, Luo Lin chuckled, closed the diary, and placed it aside. He picked up the nearby beaker, holding his right hand suspended above it. The next second, accompanied by the soft sound of bursting bubbles, an infant's palm-sized, pale blue, translucent object fell into the beaker. This was precisely the "Fun Seeker" Beyonder characteristic separated by Yug.

Luo Lin stared at this beautiful Beyonder characteristic for a few seconds, then meticulously began to concoct the Fun Seeker potion. First, he added auxiliary ingredients like pure water and colchicum essence into the beaker one by one. After all these ordinary materials were added, he stuffed Amon's Worm of Time inside.

The moment the Worm of Time entered the beaker, the solution within took on a strange texture, like some kind of liquid gemstone. Luo Lin's expression remained unchanged as he deftly added the final Fun Seeker Beyonder characteristic into the beaker.

"Gurgle—Gurgle—"

As if by some chemical reaction, the potion in the beaker turned into a kind of chaotic darkness. But this dark color lasted only a second before being replaced by silver-white. The pattern in the cup now resembled a blooming flower or the stars in the sky; the entire potion exuded a chaotic yet brilliant beauty.

"It's quite beautiful, but it doesn't look much like something drinkable," Luo Lin commented fairly, looking at the concocted Fun Seeker potion. Then, without any hesitation, he tilted his head back and downed the potion.
