Chapter 249 - Chapter 249: One Against Four, A Brilliance That Terrifies Heaven

World shattering.

Even that felt too small for what was happening now. Compared to this, Marineford looked like children playing pirates.

It was not that Marineford lacked for power. It was that a one versus four on God Valley gave you more for the cost.

Four Ozz'es, each identical in face yet fighting in a different style, turned to face their chosen foes. Since awakening the Teleportation Fruit and touching a sliver of space itself, his cloning had grown far more complete. The price was stamina, and the bill was astronomical.

Good thing Ozz had come in full.

Each clone carried power near his prime in most respects. A fist here, a kick there, a blade in the third, and each wrapped Advanced Conqueror's in a different way. It was almost poetic matchmaking.

Like the Straw Hats in those old tales. Every arc, a perfect opponent for every hand.

The blade bearing Ozz stood across from Roger. Lightning played along the spine of his sword as he mirrored the captain's stance.

"Using a blade like me, huh. Hahaha."

Conqueror's roared around Roger, the era's favorite child, and his grin was full of warmth.

"Daring to fight all four at once. Try not to die in the first minute, Ozz."

"Divine Departure."

The sword Ozz surged, Conqueror's riding the steel in a pattern that matched Roger's, no weaker in the eye.

"Half dead is possible. Dying is not."

"Divine Departure."

Steel met steel.

Stone split like glass.

The old king and the next one crossed wills through their blades.

"Wahahaha. Big talk for a brat, Ozz."

Garp was still young and burning. He stared straight at the bare handed Ozz before him, eyes throwing sparks.

"This is perfect. I get to pound a pirate and they will say I punched a Celestial Dragon too. I am not pulling a single punch."

He felt a cold stare from Garling and his smile hitched, then he pretended he had said nothing and drove a fist forward.

"Fist Bone. Impact."

Ozz did not bother to answer the jab. He watched that red hot iron fist come screaming in and smiled.

He dropped his hips. The ground within a hundred meters sank from the recoil.

He clenched his right hand. A blazing cross flared in his knuckles.

"When it comes to raw body, I fear no one."

"Fist Bone. Shock."

They met head on. The map buckled. A nuclear sun rolled across the plain and swept it clean. Out at sea, from the decks that watched God Valley, even the two tallest peaks seemed to tilt.

"So this is what the strongest monsters in the world look like."

"Unbelievable."

At a third front, Ozz faced Figarland Garling, immaculate in armor, a handsome hawk with a knight's swagger. Ozz simply fished out a cigarette.

"It has been a while since we crossed blades, Garling."

Garling's draw paused a hair. Surprise touched his face.

"You mean you fought another me in another line of time."

His sense for hidden things rivaled the Elders. He knew enough of Ozz to follow. It fit his nature. He loved to test himself against the mighty, especially those born to the Holy Land.

"In that case, let me measure you myself, Saint Ozz."

Conqueror's wrapped his blade like a black red tide. His gaze turned cold.

Ozz did not hurry. He snapped a light, touched ember to filter.

He closed his eyes. His coat slipped from his shoulders and fell. Smoke spilled from his mouth. His hair lifted in the updraft. Slim and straight in a suit, a cigarette at his lips, Ozz let fire and lightning kindle at his feet.

"Crossing steel with your younger self is something I have been looking forward to."

"King's Coating. Blink. Demon Wind Kick."

Different from the three fronts, the man standing before Rocks D. Xebec was the true body, the strongest of the four.

He held the matte black rifle like a cudgel. His face was calm as he regarded the man who had forced the world's monsters to bow through sheer will.

Rocks.

"Why. If we joined hands, even Mariejois would not stop us."

"We are past speeches, Rocks."

Conqueror's crawled up the gun like black red lightning. Ozz's tone chopped the invitation in two.

Rocks went still. His face sank into shadow. His hair lifted and whipped as his pressure climbed.

That was a Haki Ozz had truly felt. The strongest Conqueror's he had met so far. It leapt a tier, a thing beyond the chart.

"A shame. After you die I will remember you as a brat almost worthy of me in my youth."

Ozz laughed, not angry at all. Lightning roared over him. He choked up on the barrel like a bat.

"I have never been the corpse in the dirt."

"King. Sky Erasure."

He lunged. Space folded. He appeared in Rocks's face.

"Thunder Bagua."

The swing ripped a seam through the air and brought a king's authority down on Rocks.

"What a gift from heaven."

"Since Lord Im's era, I did not think to see such a monster again."

"Which bloodline in the Holy Land could birth him. Or did he earn the name another way."

Pangaea Castle. The Room of Authority.

Saturn had returned through the circle and now sat among the five, eyes locked to the view that floated over the sea.

"Even so, he is not beating four at once."

The Five had watched centuries turn. Their sight was sharp.

On the vision, four fights burned at once. Ozz trading Divine Departure with Roger. Ozz trading Fist Bone with Garp. Ozz's flaming kick crossing Garling's crown stroke. Clones pressed hard on three fronts. And the true body with the black gun giving ground against Rocks.

"Let us see it through."

"Let us see how far this one can go."
