I turned around quickly, trying to erase the image from my mind. My steps were fast and uneven as I hurried away from the garden. My cheeks were burning, and my chest was tight with secondhand embarrassment. I just needed to get away, anywhere that wasn't here.
But I didn't see what was in front of me until it was too late.
