Chapter 192: Seizing the Infinity Circuit
The Eldar present all stared at the spot where the Wraithknight had vanished. Even the Wraithguard, driven by the souls of the dead, stopped their movements. These constructs stood blankly on the spot.
The massive psychic energy released by the Archon's self-destruction had interfered with the Spiritseers' guidance of the Wraithguard. The violent psychic energy had completely disrupted the control of all psykers present. The Blood Ravens' Librarians found that they could not communicate with the warp, and even the Eldar Farseers and Warlocks had temporarily lost their ability to fight with psionics. The entire area was as if in a psychic vacuum.
Elara, who was already blind and relied on her psychic vision, was now truly sightless.
"Farseer Elara! We can no longer guide the Wraithguard! The souls of our ancestors are lost within them!"
Elara clutched her head. With great difficulty, she calmed the psychic turmoil and regained her senses. She looked toward the spot where the Wraithknight had disappeared. The Wraithknight, which could have changed the course of the battle, had been destroyed just like that, along with the soul of Kholor's hero and its precious pilots.
The call of a Spiritseer pulled her from her dazed state. A sound from behind made her turn immediately.
In the chaos of the battle, Artanis had seized the opportunity that the Archon had bought for him and had already rushed to the side of the Infinity Circuit.
Standing next to the Infinity Circuit, Artanis felt the souls within calling to him. His psi-blade cut through the wraithbone that protected the circuit, and he plunged his right hand into its core.
"Come with me to this world, my people! The Protoss need your help!"
As Artanis's arm entered, the Infinity Circuit began to change abnormally. The near-endless energy within it began to pour into Artanis's body. Artanis, who had not been at his full strength due to a lack of soul-force, now felt his empty body being filled with endless power. And one by one, the souls of the Craftworld Eldar began to be converted into a large amount of resources and entered the Sarr-Naga's projection, for Lucan to use to summon more Protoss to this world.
"No! What are you doing!"
Elara screamed hoarsely. She could feel the Infinity Circuit being drained by the other party. The souls of her kin who had died in battle over countless millennia, and the Eldar souls collected from the Webway, were now being plundered. And as the number of souls decreased, the energy that the Infinity Circuit could provide to the Craftworld grew less and less.
If Slaanesh had witnessed this ability of the Protoss, she would probably have flown into a rage on the spot. Wasn't this purely and simply snatching food from her mouth? An entire Craftworld was enough to tempt even Slaanesh.
At this moment, aboard the Stellar Pioneer, the voice of the system once again rang in Lucan's mind.

The human fleets and Eldar warships in the void all noticed the anomaly on Kholor.
Craftworld Kholor, which had been constantly pouring fire upon the human fleet and destroying one Dynasty warship after another, suddenly came to a standstill. Even its powerful engines seemed to have lost their supply, and its massive solar sails retracted. The entire Craftworld floated silently in the void.
Lucan, knowing that Artanis had succeeded, immediately ordered the fleet to cease its attack on the Craftworld. And the Eldar who controlled the numerous bright lances on the Craftworld also found that the energy supplying these weapons had vanished. The entire Craftworld could not even fire a single shot. Without the ability to fight back or move, the Craftworld was now like a giant target.
The brilliant and shining Craftworld began to dim. The Infinity Circuit, which had provided endless energy for the entire ark, was no longer supplying it with power.
All the Eldar on the Craftworld watched this scene in despair.
"The Infinity Circuit... the Infinity Circuit is gone... no..."
One desperate murmur after another arose. It was as if they could already hear the call of Slaanesh from within the warp.
And the humans still fighting on the Craftworld would not let this opportunity pass. With their morale shattered, the Eldar began to rout.
At this moment, the psychic energy absorbed by Artanis had formed a solid psychic barrier around him. All attempts to attack him were blocked. And without the help of the Wraithguard, the Eldar in this great hall simply could not withstand the combined attack of the Protoss and the Blood Ravens.
Some of the Eldar came to Elara's side. How they wished that the Farseer who had always guided Kholor's survival in this world could once again give them guidance. But the words that came from Elara's mouth were what they least wanted to hear. No matter how powerful her foresight and divination abilities were, they were useless now.
"Let our people flee... while there is still a chance. While the Webway is still functioning... Kholor is finished."
Saying this seemed to have drained all of Elara's strength.
There were still many small Webway gates throughout the Craftworld. They were not large enough for a fleet to pass through, but they could accommodate infantry and small vehicles. By leaving some people behind to sacrifice themselves in a rear-guard action, there was still a chance for more Eldar to escape Kholor. As long as they escaped, there was still hope.
Elara gave her command in despair. Even though Kholor still had a large number of warships in the void and its own army in the Craftworld, once the Infinity Circuit had lost its function, the Craftworld could be declared dead. There was no point in defending it. Without the Infinity Circuit, even if they purely adhered to the Path, their souls would sooner or later be completely eroded by Slaanesh.
Rather than letting her precious kin continue to fight to the death, it was better to let them gamble on a final chance. For the greater good, Elara needed as many of her people as possible to escape the Craftworld. She needed to tell the other Craftworlds of the threat of this race called the Protoss, to prevent more of them from falling. The Eldar of Kholor had already verified with their lives the threat that humanity and the Protoss posed to them.
Everything she did was for the continuation of the Eldar and the rebuilding of their glorious empire.
The Eldar warriors beside her still wanted to take her away, but Elara refused. It was all because she had decided to bring back the Pylon that Kholor was facing its current situation. At this moment, she only felt that she was the sinner of Kholor.
But even though Elara kept urging them, some of the Eldar warriors beside her still decided to protect her to the last moment.
The Eldar fleet in the void also received the Farseer's command. They began to leave in different directions, heading for the nearest Webway gates. And within the Craftworld, the Eldar warriors also began to gather their forces, no longer attacking, but covering the retreat of the civilians and survivors to the Webway gates within the Craftworld to escape Kholor.
Lucan listened to the reports from his soldiers and the fleet. He ordered his army to intercept as many of the fleeing Eldar as possible, but he knew that complete annihilation was impossible. He could only eliminate as much of the Eldar's effective strength as possible.
With the Craftworld having lost its ability to resist, Lucan also led his fleet to approach it. There were still many pockets of resistance remaining within.
