Chapter 1 - A weak body

"To think that I actually trusted you, you piece of shit."

The one she trusted the most in her gang was the one pointing a gun at her. She couldn't believe how much she failed as a leader because she thought she was flawless and unstoppable but things came crumbling when she unknowingly allowed an imposter into the group.

She even ended the lives of a few members who tried to tell her that the man who was now pointing a gun at her shouldn't be trusted. Even when the gang knew that there was an imposter among them, the one in front of her wasn't suspected but he turned out to be the odd one.

"Hands up, it's over for you. You and your gangs are all going to rot in prison," said the police officer.

Sara, who had her black hair tied into a short ponytail, scoffed. Some of her hair strands were glued to her face because of the sweat covering her face.

"Surrender, Sara William!" The man roared.

"You must think that I'm a fool, a weakling but I'm not letting this go," as she spoke, she walked closer to him, thinking that he was invested in the conversation they were having. She planned to grab the gun from him when he wasn't focusing.

In the blink of an eye, she placed her hand on the gun.

"Let it go, Sara! You cannot win this." They struggled to take hold of the gun as whoever held the gun won.

"I'm not losing to a prick like you," she panted because it wasn't easy getting his hands off the gun. "Get your fucking hands of it, you mother..." she grunted, screaming and yelling. The atmosphere felt so tense as they fought for the gun.

Then Sara had her hand on it but the man wasn't a loser either. He pushed her to the ground so she would lose her stance before facing him with the gun. She was this close to pulling the trigger when he pushed her down with his whole body.

"Shit!" She screamed. They were both panting. No one had interrupted them yet as other police officers were after the other members of the gang, so it was just Sara and the police officer.

It took Sara two seconds to record what had just happened, and the police officer used that two seconds to press her hand to the ground with his foot so she would release the gun. The gun rolled away and when he went to pick it up, desperate Sara stood up as fast as she could to stop him from having the gun but she was too late, he was already holding the gun.

However, she was able to get her hands on his hand that had the gun.

"You're making things complicated for yourself, Willam," the police officer grunted as he struggled. She was challenging, which was kind of fun to him but he couldn't lose to her. The mission shouldn't be a vain as he had sacrificed a lot for the success of the mission.

"Fuck you!" She yelled. "Fuck you!"

Suddenly an ear-bursting sound was heard, not once but twice.

"Shoot," she commented. Her lips widened into a smile, while her eyes expressed her defeat. "It's not the end, officer," she uttered and coughed with blood flowing out of her mouth.

The adamant fighter unfortunately lost the battle. It was either death or victory for her since the beginning of the fight and she accepted death when she lost.

One of them pulled the first trigger and in the act of wanting to defend, the second trigger was pulled and Sara was the receiver of both bullets. Her eyes closed slowly as she fell to her death.

Darkness.

Emptiness.

Loneliness.

Silence.

It felt like she was gone for hours when she opened her eyes.

She was moving.

Her head was upside down and she was in the woods.

She died in a fight with a police officer and she would definitely be taken to a hospital for some treatment or surgery for the removal of bullets if she was either dead or alive but she was in a bush.

The smell, the sound of woods cracking as she moved and the view of the green leaves, the branches and trees were evidence of her environment.

'What the hell is going on?' She was tired of surprises, especially when it was unfavorable to her. If she was in the bush with her body on someone's shoulder, that could mean that the police officer who went undercover to expose her gang wasn't what he seemed to be.

Just when she was about to take action on the person holding her body to trash it, something struck her head.

It felt like she was shot in the head this time, piercing into her brain. It affected her eyes, causing her to shut her eyes close.

'Then you are of no use to me,' an unknown man, facing her, said. He looked like a man in his early 40s with bad motives.

'We had a deal and I failed to get the Lycan king. I think I'm…' the man interrupted her.

'Get rid of her,' he walked past her and while she was following him with her eyes, she felt something sharp enter her abdomen abruptly. It happened three times.

She touched the place she was stabbed as she looked at the man who did the job.

'At least, I won't be the reason for his downfall,' she said and collapsed to the ground in defeat.

Sara's eyes snapped open after drifting out of what felt like a dream. "What the heck?" She was pissed off by what she saw.

The man carrying her body over his shoulder felt movements from her, which terrified him a bit because she was supposed to be dead and his work was to burn her body somewhere deep in the forest.

"Let me go!" Sara hit her fist on his back.

Although she hadn't realized anything yet. She thought what she saw was a dream and that it had nothing to do with her.

All she wanted at the moment was to free herself and fight the man who was carrying her, and perhaps kill him if he was the police officer.

"What the…" the man with broad shoulders and body, moved her away from his shoulder and brought her to rely on her feet.

When she landed on her feet, she couldn't stand straight because of the stabbing pain in her stomach. She remembered being shot in her belly but the pain was slightly different. It wasn't as intense as the gunshot wound.

"You are still alive?" She heard the voice of the man who she caught a glimpse of when she came off his shoulder and he didn't appear to be someone she knew. He looked non contemporary like he was from five decades back?

She grimaced because of the pain and was feeling drained at the same time but she wanted to live. Seeing that she still had the chance, she was willing to get revenge on that stupid officer.

Luckily for her, the man who was about to deal with her body that wasn't unalive was alone. She could take him down easily.

However, this pain was aching more than expected. She knew how much she could tolerate and the pain wasn't compared to that. She swallowed and glared at the man before her.

He brought out a dagger and was ready to use it on her.

She had failed again!

The fuck! She had failed again! How could she be so weak? He was alone and she could take him down in five minutes but her body was so weak. She was weak and now it was the end of her.

Sara hated herself at that moment because she knew she could do it but she failed…again.

Or maybe she didn't.
