Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: One Question, Three Solutions, and How to Get Along with the Alliance

Tony had anxiety.

This was a fact he had to confront after John reminded him.

Exercise allowed him to sleep, but it didn't truly reduce his anxiety.

When he heard about the New York War, or when things were out of his control, his anxiety would make him feel helpless.

He entered a warehouse where he met a little boy named Harry.

Don't misunderstand, it's not the Harry who uses Avada Kedavra. After all, there are quite a few people with the same name. John knew three different families of Pierce.

Tony is a Superhero, and he also has super-high intelligence.

The Iron Man suit was recharging, and Tony needed a sandwich and some materials to help himself.

At the same time, in this small town, he saw familiar marks.

The charred marks on the wall remained there like shadows.

This was what was left after the explosion.

There were clearly six people, but only five marks.

Tony looked at this thing, thinking about something.

He recalled the clue Happy had left for him. In Happy's hand, a string of dog tags worn by soldiers caught his attention.

Coincidentally, the perpetrator of this explosion was also a retired soldier.

Tony caught a glimmer of inspiration, and he went to investigate the soldier.

Entering the tavern, he found the soldier's mother.

"Mrs. Davis," Tony prepared to get close to her, "Can I sit here?"

Mrs. Davis didn't show a hint of surprise at Tony's arrival.

After Tony sat down, Mrs. Davis seemed to know what he was going to do and said directly, "Just say what you have to say."

"I'm very sorry about what happened to your son." This made Tony a little strange. "What exactly happened to him?"

"Look, I brought you the file. Take it and leave."

Mrs. Davis's straightforwardness made Tony suspicious, and he quickly figured it out.

"You were waiting for someone, you had a meeting scheduled, right?"

Tony looked at the thick file, and he quickly figured it out in his mind.

The "M.I.A." on the file flashed through his mind.

And Mrs. Davis also reacted.

"You're not actually the person I was supposed to meet?"

She had recognized the wrong person and mistook Tony for the one who had asked her to meet.

It was also at this time that the person who was actually supposed to meet appeared.

It was a woman who heavily placed a police badge on the table.

"Actually, it was me."

The woman had red hair. She smiled slightly, and her eyes met Tony's.

At that moment, Tony understood that this person was not a police officer.

Tony was about to leave when he was directly handcuffed and thrown to the ground.

"What are you doing? What's going on?"

Fortunately, a real sheriff happened to be present.

"Arresting a suspect," the woman raised the badge in her hand and said, "From the National Security Agency, is that okay?"

She wanted to brush it off, but she underestimated the sheriff's sense of justice.

He saw that something was wrong at a glance, and at the same time, he wasn't so easy to compromise.

The subordinates behind him were already holding weapons to guard against the woman.

Knowing that she was suspected, continuing would expose her identity.

In desperation, the woman had to deal with the people in front of her first.

And Tony took the opportunity to get up and leave.

The woman's fist glowed orange-red; she burned the man with the heated badge, and then punched through his stomach to take his subordinate's weapon.

Tony ran out onto the street, and the woman behind him chased after him and shot.

Tony narrowly escaped death, finally relying on himself to hide in the back door of a kitchen and use a microwave explosion to escape.

Just as he went out, another Extremis Soldier attacked.

He was knocked down by the water flow from the collapsed water tower, and Harry was caught by that soldier.

Fortunately, Tony had a trick up his sleeve; he made a simple palm cannon and knocked down that soldier.

He took the car keys from the soldier's pocket and returned to the tavern to get the file he had hidden during the chaos.

Tony prepared to part ways with Harry.

"Sorry kid, you're great." Tony looked at the child who helped him, even though Harry was very talkative.

Harry looked at Tony pitifully. "Are you going to abandon me, like my Father did?"

His Father never came back after going out to buy a lottery ticket.

He thought this would make Tony soft-hearted, but Tony thought for a moment and said, "Yes."

Then Tony walked away.

Guilty?

It's impossible to feel guilty.

I am Tony Stark.

Turns out bullying kids is so cool.

No wonder John always liked to bully that unlucky Peter Parker kid.

Tony carefully studied the file while driving. The handsome and rich scientist he had met with Pepper flashed through his mind.

"A.I.M..."

Tony had a flash of inspiration and immediately called Rhodes.

Rhodes, as a colonel and also the pilot of the Iron Patriot, had significant authority. And coincidentally, the military had some cooperation with A.I.M., so they could access A.I.M. through the military network to view information.

Using Rhodes's account, Tony successfully accessed the website and learned the truth about the terrorist attack.

After knowing the truth, he immediately had Harry, who had already returned home, input the information according to his request.

Getting the answer he wanted.

Mandarin is in Miami.

***

All three parties got the correct answer.

Heading to Miami at the same time.

It's just unknown what fate the Mandarin will meet when facing a three-way pursuit.

And Killian didn't know all of this yet.

The new Mandarin warning had already been sent to the Pentagon via television channels on the East Coast.

Killian witnessed all of this, including watching the actor he carefully selected perform brilliantly in front of the camera.

He had a plan that required provoking the President.

As expected, facing the blatant threat and the Mandarin's arrogant behavior before the nationwide broadcast, the powerful President was enraged.

The President immediately dispatched Rhodes to conduct a strike against the evil.

This was exactly what Killian wanted.

He just needed the Iron Patriot as the cage to catch sparrows so he could use it to capture President Ellis, the 'canary'.

The simpler the plan, the less likely its flaws are to be discovered.

He was going to publicly broadcast the execution of President Ellis, attributing it all to a brutal terrorist.

Afterward, the Vice President he supported would take over the presidential position, and the entire America would become his.

It was perfect, this plan was orchestrated by Killian.

But Killian, who should have been proud, was filled with gloom.

He thought of many things, but he never expected Maya Hansen's departure.

That person was the researcher of the Extremis Virus, and he still needed Maya to perfect the Extremis Virus.

What made him even more angry was that Pepper took Maya away.

And they went to Wick's house.

Savin's death had already made Killian uneasy; originally, he was going to let John go for a while.

Now he was facing two choices.

Either break into Wick's house and take the person away.

Or kill John, get the original Extremis Virus and the evolutionary serum, and then Maya Hansen wouldn't be important anymore.

Regardless of which one, he had to confront John again.

He even felt that the appearance of Maya Hansen might be John's scheme.

"You are just as full of tricks as your Father."

Killian paced back and forth; he couldn't calm down.

***

The race on three tracks began.

Now it's up to see who gets to Miami first to deal with the Mandarin.

One problem, three solutions.

Even John had to marvel at Killian's ability to attract hatred.

He stole Wenwu's name, paralyzed Dax, and blew up Tony's villa.

Any one of these three things would be a path to death, but all three came together.

This lineup, rounded up, can be considered a weakened version of the Avengers.

What?

Why would John know their base was in Miami?

Because he had already gotten the answer from Matt.

"Where is that person?" John glanced at the empty chair in Matt's house.

Not long ago, a captured female driver who could heat up was sitting there.

"I moved her to a different place of detention," Matt said. "She has told me everything."

"I respect your choice, Matt." John looked at Matt and said speechlessly, "I'm not a bloodthirsty lunatic, you don't have to worry that I will kill her."

Matt was a little embarrassed because that's exactly what he thought.

It was also to prevent John from killing that person that he had moved her to a different place.

As a Catholic, he could accept killing aliens and severely beating criminals.

In his opinion, handing over the female driver, who was no longer a threat, to the police to be imprisoned was the best approach.

John saw through his thoughts; Matt's interrogation didn't use truth serum, which surprised John.

"My hands can feel the acupuncture points of the human body." After the incident at the dock, Matt's interrogation of the female driver became more ruthless.

He was the person most familiar with the human body; torturing someone was too simple.

He also began to get used to getting along with the people from the Second Alliance.

As long as he stuck to himself, other people's affairs couldn't affect him.

Knowing how to get along didn't mean he approved of everyone's methods.

Like Dax, he wouldn't acknowledge him, but he would also help him when he encountered danger.

This was the way the Second Alliance got along.

Matt looked at John; he wanted to know why this person had come.

"Matt, do you want to become stronger?"
