Chapter 106 - Chapter 103: Defection And The Lion King (3.2K)

A mortal drawing his bow and shattering divine judgment with overwhelming force—this was a feat beyond belief.

Especially since—

After releasing that single arrow, his entire body crumbled.

It was clear that he had embraced death, determined to destroy the Lion King's divine judgment and protect innocent civilians.

Such a soul-stirring moment left countless viewers so stunned that even the barrage of comments slowed considerably.

It wasn't until Nameless arrived and poured him a farewell drink that the barrage exploded once again—

PersianCat-[A mortal against a god! Arash truly lives up to the title of Great Hero.]

PostNutRealityMarble-[Worthy of being the Persian legend who brought peace with a single arrow!]

TooHotToPeg-[The previous videos all featured the end of the Age of Gods, when gods couldn't truly descend. But this is a real god walking the earth! How will Nameless defeat her?]

"Huh? I died?"

Arash, holding a wine cup, stared blankly at the footage.

His not-so-strong body completely disintegrated after firing that world-shaking arrow.

All the soldiers around him stared at him in admiration: "Great Hero, we're proud of you!"

Back then, during the constant wars between Persia and its enemies, this very hero fired an arrow from atop a mountain, creating what would become the border between two countries.

That one arrow had flown over 2,500 kilometers—a miracle among miracles.

Now, the Great Hero had destroyed a divine judgment with one shot, igniting even greater admiration among the masses.

"Haha, I'm just an ordinary archer. If you want to be a hero, you must protect the common people."

Arash looked at the screen, watching Nameless pour him a drink, and laughed heartily while raising his own cup: "Nameless, let's drink properly when we meet again!"

He had previously admired Nameless's self-sacrificial spirit, something he himself could not match.

Now, receiving a farewell toast from Nameless—well, that brought him joy.

At the same time.

In the conference hall of Fuyuki City—

The Empire's Heroic Spirits who had planned to mock the Britons were all filled with respect. Those who willingly sacrifice themselves to protect others deserve everyone's admiration.

Shokatsu Kōmei praised, "Truly a great hero. If there's ever a chance, I'd love to drink with him."

Unfortunately, he was a Persian Heroic Spirit, so meeting him wouldn't be easy.

"Yeah, that was so powerful, really moving. He and Nameless are both people I sincerely want to befriend!"

Chen Gong agreed, tears rolling down from the corners of his eyes.

With such a powerful Great Hero, if he could just receive his ridiculously strong buffs—how terrifying would that be?

At that point...

Left hand Nameless, right hand Arash—both buffed to break past their limits. Could they slay gods directly?

Shokatsu Kōmei subtly stepped a little further away from him.

Back when the Emperor granted Nameless the title of "Imperial Teacher" and allowed him extra time in the world, this guy had rushed forward excitedly.

He seemed to have been preparing for it for days and immediately cast [Two-Pronged Formation], extending Nameless's existence for a few more minutes.

Too terrifying!

Absolutely can't let him treat me like a sacrificial pawn!

After everyone finished marveling, they continued watching the video.

On screen—

After toasting Arash, Nameless looked toward the direction of the Holy City. "Mash, Bedivere—we need to resolve this crisis as soon as possible."

"Senpai, don't tell me you plan to go up against the Lion King and the entire Round Table?" Mash asked nervously.

Come to think of it...

When they first met, Senpai was just a perfectly ordinary high schooler.

Then Chaldea detected his 100% synchronization with their Master detection device (disguised as a blood donation van).

Though he grumbled about not wanting to be a "Savior" or "Master" or to work overtime...

He still obediently joined Chaldea.

On his first day there, a terrible explosion destroyed everything.

Out of 48 Master candidates, only Senpai survived—making him humanity's final Master.

On the very first day he joined Chaldea, he even tried to snatch the ring off Dr. Roman's finger!

Mash had always been curious if that ring meant Dr. Roman was married. There really was no reason for Senpai to try and take someone's wedding ring.

In short, Senpai was a weird person—yet also someone with a powerful sense of justice.

Even while saying he didn't want to work or be a hero, he still tried to save and protect everyone.

He was, to her, a true hero.

"The Round Table isn't united—we can take them down one by one." Nameless nodded, eyes narrowing. "Our first target: the free-roaming knight stationed outside the Holy City—Mordred."

"Mordred, huh…"

Bedivere gave him a strange look.

As King Arthur's steward, he was well aware of the complicated love-hate triangle between the King, Mordred, and Nameless.

Now, the Nameless Knight—whom Mordred was crazily in love with—was planning to take her down…

Well, he silently offered a moment of pity for Mordred.

The scene changed.

A fully armored figure, whose age and gender were indistinguishable, raised a blood-red glowing weapon.

BOOM!

A dazzling beam of light blasted toward Nameless and company.

Mash immediately raised her shield, placing herself between the group and the explosion.

Seeing she hadn't killed them, the Round Table knight grew annoyed. "Oi oi, hurry up and die already. You guys are so damn annoying!"

"Is this how a knight of the Round Table treats commoners?" Nameless snorted coldly.

"Ha! Killing traitors was Father's order. What's it got to do with me?"

Mordred narrowed her eyes at the white-haired boy in front of her. "Hey, why do you look kind of familiar? Whatever. I don't have long left anyway. Just die already!"

Buzz!

Her Noble Phantasm flared with radiant red light again as she blasted it forward.

"Not on my watch!"

Mash didn't hesitate, opening her shield wide to block the berserk attack.

At the same time—

Nameless's figure blurred and vanished from everyone's sight.

It was the assassination technique he'd learned while training under King Hassan.

When he reappeared, his twin swords [Kanshou and Bakuya] had silently slashed across her armor.

Crack—

Mordred's armor shattered, revealing her petite figure.

She growled, furious: "Bastard, you're an Assassin?!"

She had assumed the white-haired boy being protected by the pink-haired girl was just some weak Magus.

Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine the Magus would suddenly turn into a sword-wielding Assassin!

"A swordsman who can't stealth isn't a proper Magus. And Magi always cast a light spell before charging in with a sword, right?" Nameless replied calmly.

His words made countless viewers laugh out loud—it was just so believable coming from him.

Anyone who mistook him for a defenseless Master or summoner was in for a world of pain.

"I'm beyond pissed now!"

Mordred's Noble Phantasm erupted in a blinding red light.

She roared furiously: "All of you—DIE!!"

[Clarent Blood Arthur: Rebellion Against My Beautiful Father!]

A scarlet beam shot straight into the sky, aiming to obliterate everyone in one blow.

"Senpai, let me—"

Mash was just about to step forward to protect him—

But he gently shook his head.

Nameless sighed softly.

"Mo-chan... After all these years, you still never fail to disappoint me."

"...Huh???"

Mordred froze.

That familiar way of calling her—it had been 1,500 years since anyone had said it.

Could it be...

Under her disbelieving gaze—

He projected a very familiar golden sword with his magical energy—

[Sword of Promised Victory — Excalibur]

Even if it wasn't the genuine article with its full power, it was still far from something to underestimate.

"Ahhh, you bastard, you're actually Nameless!"

Mordred instantly exploded in fury, scarlet light surging around her once again.

BOOM!

The two Noble Phantasms clashed violently.

Everyone fell back at once, watching the terrifying battle between the two unfold.

Once the light faded—

Nameless was seen gently holding the armor-shattered Mordred with one arm.

Well, if you ignored the twin swords at her throat.

"You bastard, how dare you show up in front of me?!"

Mordred looked like a bristling little lion cub, glaring furiously at him.

It had been 1,500 years since they last met at the Hill of Camlann.

And now that they finally reunited, she realized… he looked younger than before!

Mordred paid no mind to the dagger at her neck and shouted angrily, "Kill me already! I'm just a child thrown away by my father. Once the Holy Selection ends, anyone not allowed into the Holy City will be burned! Everyone will die!"

"Mo-chan, how about joining me to fight your father?" Nameless gently sheathed the dagger and removed the helmet she had worn all along.

Their eyes met, filled with quiet warmth.

"To fight Father?"

The raging Mordred instantly lit up at those words.

She gritted her teeth and said, "Promise me—you won't run off and leave me again after we beat him!"

"Of course! When have I ever let you down?"

Nameless smiled even more tenderly and reached out to touch her cheek.

Under his touch—

The once fierce and domineering rebellious knight suddenly blushed. Her eyes flitted around, avoiding his gaze.

"Y-You… don't be like that!" Mordred whispered.

Nameless being willing to get close to her made her incredibly happy, of course.

But with so many people watching, it really made her shy.

This scene made countless onlookers sigh—

BoobVenerate-[Poor Mordred, once again falling to Nameless's cursed charm...]

4thWarPTSD-[As expected of the rebellious knight. The moment "daddy issues" are mentioned, she betrays again! Don't forget she stabbed Artoria!]

LoliConnoisseur-[Nameless, stop tormenting Mordred! I can't take it anymore! You can't do this to a lolita!]

The video continued.

Mash reminded him, "Senpai, shouldn't we get going?"

"Alright, let's move!" Nameless let go of Mordred without hesitation, letting her fall to the ground.

"Damn it!"

Mordred glared at the pink-haired girl.

A rival!

With a powerful new ally added to their team, the group continued stealthily toward the Holy City.

After walking a while, they encountered the second Round Table knight.

Long red hair, eyes closed—none other than Tristan, who had appeared earlier.

He sighed softly: "Mordred, so you've betrayed our King once more."

"No, this wasn't my betrayal! Nameless is the one who wants to fight Father!" Mordred immediately sold Nameless out.

"Nameless… So after 1,500 years, you've appeared again?" Tristan looked a little surprised, but remained unafraid. "Unfortunately for you, I've received the divine blessing of the King. I'm far stronger than before.

In this sorrowful death… hear my final elegy!"

Boom—

He gently plucked his harp, releasing a volley of explosive air-arrows.

That harp—renowned as the "bow that never misses"—

[Failnaught — Phantasmal Music of the Painful Lament]

By vibrating the strings, it launched slicing air-arrows.

They were so fast, so numerous, that evading them all was impossible. Only dimensional travel-type evasion could dodge such an onslaught.

"Song of my pain and sound of my grief—this is my arrow." Tristan sighed sorrowfully. "Death is truly a tragic beauty."

However—

Unexpectedly, Nameless vanished in a blur. When he reappeared, he was already beside Tristan.

"It's useless. Everything you've done is within my calculations." Tristan strummed his harp again.

Vines erupted from the surroundings, entangling Nameless in layers.

But what they ensnared was just an illusion.

Nameless's Bakuya blade slid silently across Tristan's throat. "Come on, Tristan—stop pretending you're a sad poet already!"

BOOM—

"Nameless… Don't get too full of yourself." Tristan collapsed heavily to the ground. "Fate will catch up to you all... eventually…"

BabySlaneesh-[Double kill! Is Nameless really going to solo the entire Round Table?!]

AspiringWizard-[Damn, Nameless doesn't hold back!]

DaoistYoungMaster-[It's just a Singularity. Once it's repaired, everything resets—it's fine to go full murder hobo.]

Before viewers could finish reacting—

A tall figure silently appeared behind Nameless, slamming a sword downward. "Farewell, Nameless! My sword only reveals its true worth when faced with strong enemies like you!"

"Reach the edge of the world and go beyond its limit. O distant king, witness this light!"

[Aroundight Overload — Breaking All Restraints - Overloaded Light of the Lake!]

A massive surge of magical energy exploded out in an aurora of power.

"Lancelot… You've taken up ambush tactics too?" Nameless seemed fully prepared, purple flower-petal barriers blooming before him—

[Rho Aias — The Seven Rings that Cover the Burning Heavens]

Seven layers of violet petals formed a barrier around him.

But under Lancelot's god-blessed, full-power strike, the petals shattered one after another.

Yet—

Nameless remained unbothered, calmly watching the kouhai standing before him.

Mash's shield radiated tremendous power, blocking the surprise attack entirely.

"Your shield…"

Lancelot stared dumbfounded at the shield in her hands.

Once its magical signature flared—

He immediately felt a deadly familiarity.

"Look familiar? Good. That's the dinner table you Round Table guys used to eat at!" Nameless smirked.

"No! That's impossible!"

Lancelot stumbled back, staring at the girl in disbelief.

As he looked closer, Mash shouted angrily, "You knew full well the Lion King was slaughtering the innocent—why do you still serve her?!"

"That has nothing to do with you. My mission is to capture you all and bring you before the King!" Lancelot backed up a few more steps, still unwilling to give up.

Nameless gave him a pitying look: "Just kneel and beg for mercy already."

"Beg?"

Lancelot seemed to suddenly realize something.

"You bastard, Lancelot! Both I—and the one who passed their spirit to me, Galahad—are utterly disappointed in you!" Mash grew more furious. "If you have doubts about the King, you should correct her! If the King is wrong, then fight her! That's the knightly path you and Nameless taught me!"

"Wait—no way! That tone… That hair covering one eye… Could you be Galahad?!"

Lancelot looked more and more shocked.

Yes. His son—was Galahad.

Hailed as the Perfect Knight, praised as the hope of the next generation of the Round Table.

A knight with no desires, flawless to the extreme.

And his shield—

[Lord Camelot — Now is a Castle of Distant Ideals!]

Symbolized the ideal that all knights of the Round Table stood as equals.

Also the symbol of the Holy City of Camelot.

Once fully deployed, it could transform into the very walls of Camelot.

The stronger your will, the stronger its defense—capable of blocking any attack.

Nameless watched with a smiling squint: "What, your rebellious son becoming a daughter—don't you think you hit the jackpot?"

"Uh… Son becoming daughter…"

Lancelot's expression turned a little conflicted.

Just then—

Mash swung her shield again, slamming it toward him with fury: "I'll stake this Saint Graph to sever you, the impurity of the Round Table!"

"Ahhh, that familiar piercing pain, attacking both body and soul… You really are Galahad!"

Lancelot let out a strange groan.

He stumbled backward, sighed, and said: "Fine. I'm defeated. I am no longer a knight of the King. Nameless, I will join you in fighting against her!"

Even Nameless, who once taught the King, had now turned against her.

Even his own child now accused him in rage.

Then what reason did he have to persist any longer?

The third Round Table knight—defected.

The barrage of comments exploded in an instant—

HistorianWithWifi-[Holy crap! So the Heroic Spirit Mash inherited is actually Lancelot's child, Galahad?!]

SunlightSucksLOL-[Damn, this reveal hits hard!]

YeetTheInfidel-[Just like Emiya said—rebellious son becomes a cute daughter, Lancelot totally profited!]

LoliConnoisseur-[I'm pointing at my son now: "Hurry up and transform!"]

Amid the audience's eager anticipation, the group finally reached the gates of the Holy City.

There, a knight of the Round Table already stood waiting.

He radiated dazzling brilliance—his entire being like a sun illuminating the world.

It was the Knight of the Sun, Gawain.

He looked at them angrily: "Lancelot, Mordred, why haven't you fulfilled the King's orders? What are you planning? Do you mean to betray our King?!"

However, the two simply stepped aside to reveal a white-haired young man.

Gawain looked slightly surprised: "Huh? Why do you look so familiar?"

Nameless smiled and replied,

"You can't recognize me, Gawain, who always made terrible mashed potatoes, swore he'd never eat my food, and still bowed his head to the 'smells too good to resist' rule?"

"You bastard, Nameless!"

Gawain instantly realized who it was.

Even though he looked a bit younger now, that infuriating tone was unmistakable.

He glared fiercely: "Even if you are Nameless, I can't let this go!"

He would never forgive anyone who insulted his beloved mashed potatoes.

"Gawain, did your brain rot from eating too much mashed potato? The one in the Holy City isn't Artoria—it's a god in disguise. And you didn't even realize? Wow, I think the potatoes are growing roots inside your head."

Nameless gave him a look like he was a complete idiot.

[Taunt (Rank EX)!]

As expected—

"Nameless! I won't allow you to insult our King or me!"

Gawain raised the sister sword of Excalibur high, radiating blinding light. "Then let me show you the strength I've gained through the King's blessing!"

"I am invincible beneath the sun!"

[Excalibur Galatine — The Sword of Revolving Victory!]

It was as if a miniature sun rose on the spot.

At that moment, he exuded overwhelming holiness and majesty.

If Artoria's Excalibur represented the planet's glory—then Gawain's Galatine embodied the sun's fiery heat.

Once unleashed, it would burn all to cinders.

"Raise your head and look to the sky, proud knight of purification. Does the sun still shine above your crown?"

Nameless quoted the line of that Grand Assassin and once again projected its sister sword—

[Excalibur — Sword of Promised Victory]

BOOM!

The two sister blades clashed for the first time.

But the projected counterfeit Excalibur was still inferior to the real deal.

In that exchange, it was completely shattered.

But it was enough.

Nameless hurled the broken projection at Gawain and detonated it mid-air—

A massive explosion engulfed Gawain, tearing chunks from his armor and sending him staggering back.

Then, a second weapon silently appeared in Nameless's hand. Behind him bloomed a golden sun, much like Gawain's.

Feathers fell like a divine storm, holy and chilling all at once, laced with the chill of death—

[Azrael: The Angel That Announces Death]

The unadorned greatsword traced a clean arc across the Sun Knight's throat, killing him on the spot.

Nameless let out a quiet sigh, "Gawain… you really did eat yourself stupid with all that mashed potato."

"Y-You…!"

Gawain fell to the ground, wide-eyed in disbelief, trembling as he pointed at Nameless.

That damned Nameless—killing people and crushing their spirit? Too cruel!

The scene shifted far away.

A figure clad in heavy armor, holding a massive sword, stood quietly in the distance, blue flames flickering in his eyes.

It was none other than Grand Assassin King Hassan.

And then—

A towering figure wreathed in overwhelming divine majesty appeared on-screen.

They stood high above like a god presiding over all creation.

The Holy Lance in their hands radiated limitless divine power, as if it could crush and annihilate all in its path.

What once required a heroic sacrifice—like Arash giving his life to block a divine judgment—was now just one of this being's regular attacks.

The pressure suffocatingly heavy, an overwhelming divine force descended.

Yes—this was the terrifying divine entity that ruled this Singularity:

The Lion King.

Under her divine presence—

A familiar card quietly appeared in Sanjiro's hand.

He looked up at her and declared:

"Lion King, a god who does not understand the human heart—Let me be the one to correct all your mistakes."
