Chapter 121 - Chapter 115: Betrayal? (3.4K)

Poor Lily... you're doomed to lose!

Kirina was filled with glee as she opened the video—

No, wait. It was more like sympathy.

Based on previous video patterns:

In Unlimited Blade Works, the King of Heroes went full chuuni and tried to destroy the world, only to be counterattacked and disarmed by Emiya, who ripped out his heart for good measure.

The so-called "Wise King" title was utterly shattered, losing fans by the droves.

Then in Oath Beneath the Snow, Gil was borrowed by Angelica and transformed into a big-boobed version of himself—only to be disarmed in the exact same way again by Emiya.

A perfect rerun of events!

Twice in a row, his reputation tanked to the point that he couldn't even compare to the neighboring King of Conquerors anymore.

That man—Iskandar—now had unstoppable momentum, galloping across the fandom as a peerless tyrant of popularity.

And now, this was a Singularity exposé!

Previously in Sacred Round Table Domain, even the "perfect king" Artoria was corrupted into the divine Lion King.

So imagine how much worse the King of Heroes, already stained with so much black history, could get.

Might he blacken into a terrifying eldritch god?

In a previous side episode, Demon King: Goetia, the Lion King had ominously said at the end:

"In the next mission, there will exist an 'evil' beyond your comprehension—perhaps the Original Sin of Humanity itself."

So what if that unspeakable "evil" was the corrupted King of Heroes?

Kirina was certain—this was definitely going to be another public humiliation of Gilgamesh.

His fanbase was about to nosedive again!

Given Artoria's example, it was hard to imagine any Heroic Spirit shining within a Singularity.

With odds like that, it felt nearly impossible to lose.

Even Shikotei sitting nearby seemed to agree.

Though he called it a "bet," deep down, he knew the outcome was all but certain.

It was all a ploy to drive Artoria away!

No—It wasn't just to get rid of Artoria. Shikotei had also used a clone to invite both Gilgamesh and the Dark Saint to watch the exposé together.

Once Gil got publicly executed on-screen, how could he possibly have the gall to stay in Fuyuki?

He'd be boarding a jet and flying off immediately!

And Jeanne d'Arc—left behind alone—would no longer have a reason to stay, either.

One video, wiping out a whole cluster of annoying Heroic Spirits!

By contrast—

Artoria remained perfectly calm.

After seeing her own fall in Sacred Round Table Domain, she had zero confidence in the King of Heroes.

Even she, the so-called perfect king who offered herself to Britain, was corrupted by Demon King Goetia—

Becoming a cold-hearted Lion King who wanted to preserve humanity as collectible figurines for eternity.

How could Gilgamesh, a walking heap of arrogance, possibly do better?

When she was the Lion King, her divine nature allowed her to vaguely sense some ancient evil. But once that divinity was cut away by Nameless, she could no longer peer into that ancient past.

Still, it didn't matter.

After all—"Ria" was Nameless' affectionate nickname for her.

Just like how he calls the First Emperor "Shikotei."

If she lost, she would not hesitate to order Mordred and the others to leave.

As thoughts ran rampant in everyone's minds—The video officially began playing:

MoonlitGachaVictim-[It's here! I will witness the black history of the King of Heroes again—front-row seats to roast him alive!]

SergeantSaunders-[Tsk, Alaya is really grinding hard. Unlike some uploaders who should be ashamed—I'm talking to you @Mohawk_mark!]

ICastFart-[RIP, Gil's fans are about to drop like flies again. MY Gilgamesh is gone… sob sob sob~]

GlazingAtItsFinest-[Shut up, you sobbing simps! After all that Gil has done, if I still glaze him, I will run around my town naked!]

FateShit-[@ClipThat! you know your job, we'll need evidence just incase.]

ClipThat!-[👍]

Amid the countless eyeballs glued to the screen, the video began.

But strangely enough, the opening scene wasn't the tearful finale of The Oldest King, where Gil held Nameless' corpse under the rain…

Instead—

It opened on a vast, mysterious altar.

A crowd of ragged, ancient-looking people knelt frantically in prayer.

"Please! Oh Mother of Beasts! Ruler of the Primordial Origin! We Sumerians could never disobey your will! We offer all our cities' wealth unto you!"

Tattered and weeping, they cried out:

"Our city of is not like Uruk! We won't submit to that foolish king! We offer all our low-born citizens as livestock for your pleasure!"

Just these few lines were enough to make viewers rage.

To preserve their own lives, they were sacrificing innocent people without hesitation—

Who could tolerate that!?

Back in Fuyuki—

Rin scowled in disgust: "These people deserve to die."

"Indeed. Unforgivable," her sister Sakura agreed.

Traitors to humanity!

===

On-screen—

Facing their pleas, a massive, shadow-wreathed being sneered from on high.

Her voice echoed like thunder:

"Hmph… Pathetic, lowly vermin. Die, all of you. You're not even worthy of being fed to my children. Become fertilizer for the earth instead!"

SMASH—

A massive serpent's tail whipped through the air, pulverizing the crowd of worshippers in an instant.

Even though the sacred light effects blurred some of it, the scene was still viscerally nauseating.

They were just… gone.

Beside her, another shadowed figure frowned slightly:

"This is still technically our gathering place. Shouldn't you at least bring your prey back to your lair to deal with?"

"Doesn't matter. Winner takes all, loser becomes meat paste."

The Queen of Demonic Beasts, with her massive serpentine form, was unfazed:

"800,000 beasts versus fewer than 600,000 humans. We have the advantage. Uruk will fall within half a month."

A third shadowed figure appeared—this time with a faint golden glimmer.

You could just barely tell—it was a golden-haired girl.

Her voice cold and detached:

"Oh? Not only are you physically large, but your ego's massive too. Sure you don't need our help?"

When she appeared, the entire comment section exploded:

Blorbo-[It's Erish our Angel!]

TooHotToPeg-[HOLY—It's the underworld goddess Ereshkigal!]

PostNutRealityMarble-[Why is she working with that Mother of Beasts?]

ConstipatedProcrastinator-[I get it now. Just like Artoria, this is another Demon God Goetia conspiracy!]

"Eh? Isn't that Ereshkigal, Mistress of the Underworld?" Rin blinked in confusion.

This underworld goddess, cold and aloof on the surface but adorably pure and innocent inside, had stolen countless hearts in The Oldest King and the Flower of the Underworld extra episode.

She had become the dream waifu of countless fans.

A supposedly evil and aloof goddess who, in public, turned out to be a shy blushing maiden—Who could resist that gap moe!?

But now she was siding with a genocidal monster like the Mother of Beasts!?

Rin immediately concluded—Definitely a Demon God plot!

If even Artoria could be corrupted into the Lion King, what chance did sweet Erish have?

But the real kicker—

Ereshkigal and Ishtar are goddess sisters who look exactly the same as Rin herself.

Rin Tohsaka watched on with an increasingly complicated expression.

Was she going to go dark too?

Beside her, Sakura cast a strange look at her elder sister, silently sympathizing with her turmoil.

Meanwhile, on the screen—

The towering goddess with a snake's tail said coldly,

"Unnecessary. We established a non-aggression pact, and thus have no need for your aid. But I will allow my beasts to rampage freely through humanity. If they wish to devour, they'll devour. If they wish to play them to death, they will. Or drag them into the caves to be used as temple materials."

That moment made everyone watching finally understand:

She was the terrifying threat in this Singularity.

Cold, ruthless.

A haughty, unfeeling god.

Then, the feathered goddess spoke in a detached voice,

"The goddess who kills the king of this era and obtains the Holy Grail will be the one to rule the world. This is the pact decreed by the Demon King."

"Uruk was always mine. As a member of the Three Goddess Alliance, I will sweep all humans off the face of the Earth!" Even Ereshkigal's tone was icy.

The declarations of the Three Goddesses made every viewer's heart sink.

The last Singularity had just one divine being—the Lion King—and Nameless was already severely wounded.

But now, this Singularity had three overwhelming deities!

How could they possibly restore humanity here?

Just when things couldn't seem worse—

Another character appeared on screen that shocked everyone even more.

A boy with long, emerald-green hair, his back to the camera, calmly spoke: "That's wonderful. It seems the alliance oath remains eternal. You can rest easy now, Mother."

"My child, you've returned," the snake-tailed goddess said warmly.

"Yes, Mother. So long as we obtain the Holy Grail hidden in Uruk, we can take control of the world after humanity has been burned away. This is the contract offered by the Demon King."

The boy spoke in the gentlest tone… yet said the cruelest thing: "It doesn't matter how we kill all of humanity. As long as we obtain the Holy Grail, that's enough."

"Oh, right. The final Master protecting humanity has arrived in this world, it seems."

The screen slowly dimmed.

But everyone remained stunned, frozen in disbelief—

SinMommy-[No way! No way that's Enkidu! There's no way he'd join the gods to exterminate humanity!]

YaoiBreed-[What the hell!? I must've seen wrong! He sacrificed himself for humanity—how can this be?!]

BobUchiha-[Is this some kind of reincarnation jutsu? Is that even him?!]

Yes—there was no mistaking that figure. It was Enkidu.

Back then, alongside Nameless and the King of Heroes, he had severed the bond between gods and man, freeing humanity from divine oppression.

And now… that same figure spoke of mass extermination with a serene smile.

But something was wrong.

Its expression, its aura—everything felt off. Too cold. Too detached.

Because this wasn't truly Enkidu.

It was Kingu, a divine being created by Tiamat, implanted into Enkidu's body using the power of the Holy Grail. He bore Enkidu's face, voice, and memories—but not his soul.

And the viewers do not know it.

While everyone was still grappling with disbelief, the prologue came to an end.

Lines of text appeared on screen, accompanied by Mash's gentle, clear narration:

[This is the era when humanity broke away from the gods.]

[An era where mankind sought to prove its maturity, and sever the protection of its divine mother.]

[The final Master of humanity arrives in the oldest era, to stand beside the oldest king and face the first Evil.]

[Civilization and myth, man and god… shall be separated at last.]

The massive altar on screen suddenly shifted into open sky.

The Chaldea team was falling rapidly from the sky.

"Don't panic, Mash! Deploy your Noble Phantasm—we'll be okay!" the Master called out.

"Understood, Senpai! Please hold on tight!"

With calm resolve in her voice, Mash quickly activated her shield.

[Lord Camelot, Castle of Distant Ideals!]

VMMM!

A radiant, majestic wall appeared around the two of them.

With her Noble Phantasm deployed, they and Fou safely landed on the ground.

But before they could catch their breath—Grotesque monsters emerged all around them. Larger than lions and far more terrifying, they surrounded the group on all sides.

"Senpai, what should we do?" Mash asked, a bit tense, shield at the ready.

Then—suddenly, from the sky—

A frantic voice cried out, "Air brakes are useless! We're gonna crash! If Father finds out, he's gonna revoke my license! Just so we're clear—this totally isn't my fault!"

BOOM!

With a scream, something plummeted from the sky—

A goddess.

The impact was so intense it sent Mash flying aside.

"Senpai, are you okay!?" she cried in alarm.

The one who had crashed down collided directly with the Master, sending him flying.

When they landed, the airborne goddess ended up in a… rather awkward position.

Her smooth, curvaceous thighs clamped tightly around the Master's cheeks—her most sacred place now pressing against his face!

The chat exploded instantly—

EverydayNerd-[Yo, is this what they mean by a "thigh suffocation death"?]

SimpProMax16-[The taste of the sea—Nameless knows it firsthand!]

AlphaSigma-[Damn, I'm so jealous. Why him!?]

MoonlitGachaVictim-[That position is exactly like in those doujins! Ishtar, you totally did this on purpose!]

BoobVenerate-[Uh, so… my friend wants to know which doujin this is from. Just asking.]

Even Mash was visibly flustered.

As for Rin, watching from the real world—her face went red, steam nearly rising from her head.

Ishtar was rumored to be her past self, and now this goddess had just done that on camera!?

How could she ever show her face again!?

Even worse—

Nameless, pinned beneath her, shouted furiously, "Ishtar! You did that on purpose, didn't you!? Trying to crush me to death!?"

Fou, the little white fluffball, slapped the goddess's thigh in protest.

"Fou… Fou! (Get off him already!)"

At that moment, the sky-crashing, license-less goddess found herself utterly disdained by both people and beast.

Surrounded by their complaints—

The goddess glared at Nameless beneath her. "You filthy mortal! How dare you touch my divine body without permission! Do you have a death wish!?"

Yet his breath on her skin made her thighs twitch oddly. Unnerved, she quickly stood up and moved away.

"Hey now! I was your landing cushion! You should be thanking me for saving you from injury!" Nameless countered. "And besides—we're Chaldea agents here to preserve human history! It really wasn't on purpose, oh most radiant and majestic goddess!"

"…Fine. Since you're guests from another world."

Ishtar huffed arrogantly.

"But forget the screaming, the crash, and the whole touching my body incident! If you do that, I might forgive you!"

"No problem! O magnificent, divine goddess beyond compare, would you be willing to help us deal with these monsters?" Nameless asked shamelessly.

This exchange made the audience burst into laughter.

It was clear—Nameless had tricked her into working for free again!

What a sly and black-bellied savior!

Even better—Ishtar fell for it instantly.

"Hmph! I'm in a foul mood anyway. I'll use this pack of beasts to blow off some steam. But don't get the wrong idea—I'm not helping you, okay?"

She put on a textbook tsundere act.

Viewers were dying of laughter.

ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!

Standing atop her flying boat, Ishtar took aim like a gunslinger, unleashing magical bullets from the sky.

Her overwhelming power shredded the terrifying beasts with ease.

But—

After taking out just a portion of them, the goddess stopped. "Well, since you want to save humanity so badly—go do it yourself!"

"Hey! Didn't you drop something earlier? You've been searching this whole time, haven't you?" Nameless called out.

"I most certainly have not! A goddess like me doesn't lose things!"

Ishtar nearly tripped mid-air again—clearly flustered and lying.

She quickly flew off in a rush.

Nameless sighed. "Welp, there goes our free support. Guess we're back to relying on ourselves."

"Don't worry, Senpai. I'll protect you!" Mash raised her shield with determination, placing herself in front of him.

But—

There were just too many monsters.

Over a hundred were charging toward them, making Mash start to feel overwhelmed.

And that's when the second uninvited guest arrived.

A tall, elegant figure with long emerald-green hair descended.

With a serene, gender-defying face, they stepped forward with a gentle smile.

"May I ask you both to stand back, Chaldean Master… Demi-Servant. Allow me to handle this."

HUM—

A familiar sound echoed out.

Chains began to appear all around the figure, transforming into deadly lances that pierced and pinned every beast to the ground.

In mere moments, the monsters were reduced to a bloody ruin.

Having saved the Chaldea team from danger—they smiled and introduced themselves. "It is an honor to meet you, Master of Chaldea. Our name is… Enkidu."

The beautiful figure smiled gently.

"I've been waiting for your arrival. I am the one entrusted with maintaining the earth and guiding the new humanity."

However…

None of the viewers were happy at all—

...

"This bastard… dares to betray Nameless?!"

Mordred watched with a face full of anger.

Back in the Oldest King video, it was Nameless who had taught Enkidu—so earnestly, even more seriously than when he trained her.

That guy had always clung to Nameless, following him wherever he went. It even had the shameless audacity to ask the Nameless to make it into a "real human."

Online, that phrase had already been twisted into "a real woman"!

Even Mordred herself had never said anything like that to Nameless!

But now, with Nameless returning not as an adult form but in his young Chaldea Master form…

That despicable person actually wanted to go undercover and scheme to betray him!

===

Look—after her appearance—

Doctor Roman, staying behind at Chaldea, exclaimed in surprise,

"Oh my god, it's Enkidu! He'll definitely be a powerful ally! After all, he's one of the strongest figures of that age, on par with the King of Heroes—and completely trustworthy!"

"But… it doesn't seem like a human, or a Heroic Spirit," Mash said, a little uncertain.

"Mm. I'm a doll made from clay by the gods, created to admonish the King of Heroes. So it makes sense I feel a bit off," Enkidu said with a serene smile.

It smile only grew gentler.

"You've come to this era to retrieve the Holy Grail disturbing the timeline and to stop the Demon King's plan to destroy human history, right?"

It looked like such a kind little angel—someone who made others instinctively lower their guard.

"Yes," Nameless nodded.

Everything seemed perfectly harmonious.

But it was precisely this cheerful and welcoming atmosphere that made the viewers suffer even more.

The adult Nameless absolutely knew that Enkidu was already dead—but this younger version of him might not know it. And what's more, had been punished and executed by the gods right in front of him.

So…

Who exactly was this person claiming to be Enkidu?

"Could it be the gods made another Enkidu?" Mordred couldn't help blurting out.

Don't forget—

Enkidu was a divine weapon, molded by the gods from clay and granted immense power.

It wouldn't be difficult to make more of them.

Jalter(Ima start calling her that as it might cause some problem later on) shook her head,

"Doesn't feel like it…"

Not long ago, the First Emperor had invited everyone to a gathering.

So—

Heroic Spirits from respective nations had all gathered in one place.

Even the usually aloof King of Heroes had been dragged in with an invitation.

And just as the video was released by Alaya,

Shikotei rallied everyone:

"Since we're all here, let's enjoy watching the King of Heroes' glorious presence together!"

"Glorious presence"...

Was the same phrasing used back when The Oldest King was first released.

The King of Heroes had then gathered all his ministers in Uruk and played the video to the entire nation—intending to show off his glory.

Yet, what was supposed to demonstrate his might had instead become a live humiliation.

Everyone clearly saw how the King of Heroes was repeatedly roasted and humiliated by Nameless. It was utterly disgraceful.

Obviously, this time, Shikotei fully intended to shame him again in front of a crowd.

But Mordred, Jalter, and the rest didn't care one bit.

As long as it wasn't them—it was all just juicy drama!

Onscreen—

The person claiming to be Enkidu gave a warm smile.

"Everyone, I have come here in accordance with the divine will—to protect you. Welcome to ancient Mesopotamia. I represent the new era, and I welcome you all."

And yet—

She led Nameless and Mash into a forest, saying it was to avoid demonic beasts.

This made countless viewers feel even more anxious, more afraid Nameless was going to be stabbed in the back.

Even Mash, the shield maiden following close behind, began to sense something wrong.

She whispered,

"Senpai… it feels like we're getting farther from Uruk…"

"I know."

Nameless stared at the beautiful figure ahead and sighed softly.

"Enkidu is already dead—killed by the gods. Why are you pretending to be her?"

In an instant, the plan to backstab under cover was completely exposed.

The person calling herself Enkidu gave a look of regret,

"Tsk… as expected, I couldn't fool you. Humans are failures, but some failures are still valuable. If I offer you to Mother, I'll definitely be rewarded."

In that moment—

She dropped the disguise and revealed her true intent.

Yes—she wanted to lure Nameless and Mash into the nest of the Mother of Beasts…

As sacrifices for her mother!

Watching this, Shikotei was all smiles.

This move was solid!

Even Enkidu had betrayed Nameless—surely the King of Heroes would fall to darkness next!

Let him be humiliated in front of all the Heroic Spirits. Let's see if he still has the nerve to stay in Fuyuki City!

Shikotei stopped Gilgamesh, who was trying to leave, and said with warm smile,

"King of Heroes, sit down! Let's enjoy watching your performance in this Singularity together!"

(Bruh gonna be disappointed XD)
