Chapter 2 - Flowers Died on Monday

The flowers died on Monday

They lasted a long time ago

But something right beside them, lingers just like before

They shriveled up, just like our friendship

What was once before

The flowers died on Monday because life

Moved on, and so did we

Leaving memories to wither, like the petals on the tree

Yet, in the soil of what's past

A part of us remains, forever to last

In the garden of memories, our laughter used to bloom

But now, the silence is all that's left in the room

The echoes of our conversations, faded like the light

Leaving only shadows of what we once held tight

Time, the gardener, pruned our bond

Leaving scars, but also new beyond

For in the end, it's not the flowers that remain

But the roots of our connection, the love that still sustains
