"Fine, You're correct." He said, his gaze on his plate as his fingers massaged the rim.
"I know." She said smiling smugly.
"Yeah." He said. "You've got your answer, now can I enjoy my meal?" He asked, already digging in before she could respond.
She just shook her head as she watched him stuff a fork full into his mouth.
She wanted to press further, or she was tempted to but knew she had to work with what she had, for the moment at least.
She picked up her fork, meeting his gaze for a second before digging into her meal, moaning with her mouthful, the spicy and delicious blend tingling her taste buds.
"You see. Told you it was great." Theo chipped, already done with his portion.
"How did I not taste this before?" She asked herself out loud, chuckling a bit, her gaze going to his plate. "There's more in the pot. This portion is more than enough for me." She said, eating another fork full.
