"No. It's not that." She spoke up, looking directly at him now. Her clear eyes stared into his as she hoped it was going to pacify him somehow.

"I'm perfectly fine. I'm just worried you might find my wolf too small and unworthy." She explained in a low voice, unable to stop herself from looking down at her hands.

"Unworthy? Why would I do that?" He asked, utterly confused. He'd seen her wolf before, and to his biggest surprise, she was bigger than he'd imagined her to be. Bigger and Prettier.

Shiny honey brown pelt covered her entire figure, all except her paws and ears, which were colored black. He couldn't understand what she was speaking of, but she had looked beyond worthy the day he'd seen her for the first time.

"She's small," Bethany said, almost in a whisper.
