Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Strolling towards the inn, the woman went over to the counter to begin her operation. Her name was Yu Aou, she was someone powerful in the world. Currently, she was one of the rare cultivators in the world. Although cultivation is a widely known subject amongst the populace, not many pursue it.

Cultivation itself is a battle against heaven, the people who choose to pursue it are usually strong enough in the beginning to contend. Most people in this world stick to the normal stuff like working as a civilian, a government official, a mercenary, and a martial artist. With the existence of beasts in the world, the rise of mercenaries and martial artists became prominent.

For someone to reach the realm of the lowest cultivator, they'd have to be considered a master in their field. Whether it'd be a civilian with enough reputation to be scouted, a government official with enough prestige to attract attention from those above, a mercenary who has accomplished tasks enough to garner curiosity, or a martial artist strong enough to break through to cultivation.

These were all paths available to ascend to become a cultivator. The presence of the woman within this city was alone rare enough to be a once in a lifetime moment but Calamity had managed to attract her attention.

As Yu continued her way over to the counter, she walked up to the woman inquiring about the additional benefits. Being handed a catalog for her to briefly go through, she couldn't find the young man's profile that she had encountered earlier. Disappointed she simply picked one of her usuals and went to her room.

Inside room 206, Calamity decided it was time to sleep, although he felt that the day was significantly shorter than yesterday, today he had done quite a bit. Currently it was a bit past midnight and he was already exhausted mentally from all the stress he accumulated from endless pondering over his income. He would have to renew his permit as well or exchange it for a permanent permit to enter the city.

Leaving the thoughts aside, Calamity drifted off to sleep, dreaming of a vast land filled with vegetation, similar to his favorite star gazing spot back at the family estate. Looking up at the stars from within his dream, he felt clear of desires and goals. He simply enjoyed the peace brought to him by lying on the grass and watching the stars shift and twinkle.

As if struck by lightning in daylight, he started muttering things that were incomprehensive to himself. Not knowing what he was saying, Calamity slowly felt that he wasn't in control of his own body and began to stand up and start walking in the dream.

Every step he took, the scene would shift to things he has never seen before.

One step, he was in the mountains peering down at cities.

Two steps, He was looking at the ocean from afar, seeing fishes dance.

Three Steps, He was in the clouds looking above to see hallucinations that were incomprehensible to him.

Soon, he moved too fast for him to register the scenes he was witnessing until his body came to a slow only to find himself in space.

He looked down below him and could see the world but not only that, he saw people and creatures alongside him in the void.

Feeling his heart shake with trepidation of the unknown, his consciousness was rapidly drawn away from the world as he felt the world shrinking in his vision and slowly became engulfed in darkness.

Slowly opening his eyes, Calamity understood that everything he witnessed was within a dream. He didn't understand what brought him to see everything in the dreams, thinking that he would only dream of sights he had seen before. Confused and flustered, Calamity felt his heart was beating rapidly and his breathing quicken as he felt a strange sensation in his mind, pestering him to think of something but he had no thoughts.

Eventually his body returned to a resting state as he stared out the window to see the sun slowly shining through. Today was officially day 3 of his time in the city.

Chen Wu was in the midst of talking to the owner of Traditional Housing, the owner was actually a woman. Her origins unknown only that she had lots of connections both inside and outside the city.

No one really knew about her background, only the fact that she had created Traditional Housing and was remarked as a pervert deep in the hearts of anyone who knew her.

"Ma'am, I recently signed someone to a contract as a sex worker. He meets the requirement but we'd have to do further evaluation to ensure his profile is filled out."

Hearing this, the owner glanced at the contract Chen had brought in, thinking that there was nothing special about it. To her, many people had come and gone as sex workers. Anyone who applied to be a sex worker usually needed money and then afterwards would quit to find a more ethical job.

The owner nodded, "Bring him in, I'd like to do this as quick as possible since I've got more things to do later."

Soon, Chen bowed and went to the counter hoping to encounter Calamity before he left. He thought it was a great opportunity to form connections with Calamity as he felt his personality was easy-going.

Nearly half an hour later, Chen Wu saw Calamity and waved him over. Soon enough, Calamity walked over and knew that it was time to meet with the owner as discussed yesterday.

Inside the meeting room, the owner, Fei Moon was sitting on a couch. Though she was busy, she could simply delegate her tasks to her employees and lounge around. But her style was always work hard and receive benefits. She followed this philosophy and she hadn't felt betrayed by it so far.

She continued to tap away at a tablet she had and reading through documents when Calamity and Chen finally walked through the door.

At first glance, Fei didn't see anything remarkable about the young man as Calamity couldn't exactly be considered a beautiful or handsome person. His appearance stood more like a lone flower that was next to a chasm. A pretty object that was ominously surrounded by the void.

It was difficult to describe him as his hair had covered a vast majority of his face but he couldn't be said to be bad looking as his body was proportionate and he was quite tall. With a bit of a touch up, he would surely attract customers in no time.

Fei spoke slowly, "You are Calamity, yes? Do you know what kind of interview we conduct?"

"No not really, I've only had 1 interview so far and all I did was respond to questions."

"I see, well first take this hair band and tie your hair so I can get a good look at your face."

After being handed the hair band, he tied his hair back into a pony tail. Although he had never really bothered with appearances, he couldn't help but feel nervous as he wasn't sure if he was a good looking person or a bad looking person.

Meanwhile, Fei stared at his facial features discerning every little detail she can visibly see. To begin with, his eyes were the most attractive thing on his face. His eyes weren't too large nor were they too small. His pupils were a dark shade of purple, quite a rare eye color in this world as she had never seen eyes like his.

His eyes could give off a mysterious vibe and we could promote off of that.

Next thing she noticed was his eyebrows. His eyebrows were relatively thin but long. It looked almost as if someone had ran a thin brush along a piece of paper and his eyebrows would be formed.

His nose were a different story though, it was suited to her taste as she could visibly see the nose creating a sort of distinction line enhancing the visibility of his eyes, almost as if the nose was made to be a background character making the main character appear more appealing.

His nose wasn't large to a point but it was shaped almost too well to the point where she had doubted if it was a natural nose.

Next, her eyes were drawn to his lips as they weren't too thin or too thick. The bottom lip was definitely slightly thicker than the top lip but that would definitely stand out if he were to smile.

She would definitely have to teach this young man how to smile often.

His skin itself was already clean and contained a healthy gleam on it. If he was pale, then it might be a negative thing to his facial features but his healthy and clean skin would definitely attract customers.

She would have to analyze his body next as this was an adult industry, not a model industry.

"Take off all your clothes. Everything."

Feeling hesitant, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed at the thought of someone seeing him naked. Especially when it was a woman. The source of his embarrassment was usually because of his little brother. When his little brother was exposed to the world, it felt as if the world stood still and anyone who witnessed it was turned into a statue.

Inadvertently, he'd create tension in the atmosphere and men who saw him were stunned into silence while woman who saw him had their eyes bulge with their pupils locked onto his little brother.

Soon enough, Fei Moon, a woman with vast experience in the field and had seen many people's body regardless if clothed or unclothed watched as Calamity took off his robes. From there, she noticed a significant part of his body standing out. Initially she had thought it was some sort of weapon he was carrying in the pockets in his robe.

But witnessing the disrobing actions he took, she couldn't help but still notice the bulge in his pants, thinking that instead of it being in his robe pocket, it was in his pants pocket. But soon reality defied her expectations and as he took off his pants, she noticed the bulge was still there!

Feeling her pupils shake as her vision slowly tried to focus on the bulge in his underwear, she couldn't help but feel there was something wrong with her perception of reality.

Maybe she had been too stressed lately and was imaging things?

She could only distract herself by looking elsewhere on Calamity's body but was also given eye-candy by looking at his 8-pack abs. Truthfully speaking, this was her first time witnessing an 8-pack as all the people she knew, regardless of if they worked out, martial artists, or cultivators usually never had an 8-pack.

Cultivators usually sought improvement on the mind and when they reached a certain realm, their bodies would be redefined to create a body filled with balance and symmetry. For a martial artist, there was no martial technique in the world that would excessively demand a person to work their core body and focused more on their legs and arms.

Silently gulping, Fei looked elsewhere and then saw Calamity's chest muscles, they had merged seamlessly with his arm muscles and neck. It looked as if his muscles could engulf a person in an instant if provoked. Instinctually, sweat started to appear on her forehead and neck as she felt nervous about any customer requesting Calamity in the future.

Slowly looking downwards, she still noticed Calamity had his underwear on but she didn't rush him. Looking down towards his legs, she also noticed how strong his thighs looked as well as his calves and foot appeared. It looked similar to a mountain terrain filled with rivers as she could see the range of muscles overlapping and his visible veins on his muscles threatening to override his skin.

Feeling that she was staring too hard, Fei shook her head and looked back up only to still see Calamity's underwear on and him nervously quivering, almost teasing her curiosity about the boy's personality.

With such a body, anyone would have confidence even if they were naked.
