With that she didn't waste any more time, using all the little energy she had left she took off as fast as her legs could take her and at that moment she heard two deafening sounds one after the other then she realized_they were gunshots as she felt two sharp and painful stings in her abdomen.

She clutched her stomach as she collapsed to the ground, she felt her life leave her as tears rolled down her face, looking at her hand; in it were the two twin ribbons she had bought_one for Maya and the other for herself. They were all covered in blood_her blood.
"H-ha-pp-y b-irth-day M-aya" she muttered in gasps "I-m s-o-rr-y I- c-ant ma..."
The light left her eyes before she could finish.
Meanwhile...
After she heard a clanking sound, Maya realized that Kylie's phone must have fallen but she was glad at least it didn't disconnect_that was until she heard what some men were saying to her sister, it almost felt like they were saying it to her.
All her world came to a stop as she froze and listened as tears involuntarily rolled down her face. What if their own sister were in that position, she could only pray and hope for my sister to be fine.
She shrieked when I heard Kylie's cries for help yet no aid came to her. she heard everything and could only imagine what was happening to her poor sister. Maya's knees gave up and she sunk to the floor as Kylie's sounds grew muffled_they must have gagged her, how could they be so ruthless...Anger boiled in Maya's veins .
The muffled screams grew fainter and fainter till she couldn't hear anything at all, she held the phone so close to her ear but she couldn't hear anymore sounds.
"KYLIE!!! KYLIE!!! KYLIE!!!" she kept screaming a midst sobs, shortly after that she heard two gunshots then froze and heard a crushing sound_the line went dead.
she was glued to the same spot for I don't know how long doing nothing but just tears rolling down her face till I gained her senses and digested every thing she just heard_"They. They hurt Kylie..."
At that moment it was like the blood in Maya's veins was replaced with fire.
I felt a wave of rage, anger, frustration and hate towards the people who hurt my sister. the echoes of her screams and her face were vivid in my mind.
Without giving it a second thought, I got the phone and called 911, the moment it was connected went straight to the point.
"My sister is missing, some people hurt her"
"Name?" The officer asked from the other end of the phone
"Kylie.....Kylie Radens"
"Could you tell me where she is?" the officer continued digging for information unknown to him that Maya was on the edge.
"Why would I report her missing if I knew where she is?"Maya bellowed.
"Ok, since when has she been missing?" the officer asked calmly even after Maya raised her voice yet she was the one in need of help.
"This evening. Now go find her " Maya ordered
"Am sorry miss but she can't be declared missing till 48 hours. If she still hasn't been found then we'll go on with the procedures. Till then stay..."Maya did not wait for the officer to finish.
"Fine, if you can't do your damn job then I'll do it" Maya interjected and cut the call.
"Kylie, am coming to find you" Maya was suddenly filled with loads of energy and determination" Just hold on a little longer for my sake" she could only hope Kylie was safe. Maya was out the whole night looking for her sister all to no avail.
When Maya came back,she was all down and miserable_Kylie was really missing and that son of a gun claims she can't be declared missing till 48 hours. Doesn't he know alot could happen, like loosing her only chance to..._no! that can't happen, I will find her.
