Chapter 10 - End

[]

The training facility buzzed with the residual tension of the previous match. The aftermath of the explosive duel between Bakugo and Midoriya still lingered in the air like ozone, and yet the test was far from over. All Might's booming voice echoed through the massive industrial replica complex once again.

"Well done to the first teams! But this is just the beginning. Let's move on to the next combat exercise!"

He waved toward the screen where the randomized team list blinked and flickered into place.

🔷 Team Heroes: Fumikage Tokoyami & Toru Hagakure🔶 Team Villains: Mashirao Ojiro & Yuga AoyamaLocation: Underground Storage Bunker Replica

The surveillance screens flickered to life, and the monitors tracked their movements in the dimly lit bunker. With its low ceilings and maze-like corridors, this setup was a stark contrast to the wide-open arena from before.

"Let's remain in the shadows," Tokoyami muttered to Hagakure as they crept through the halls.

"I'm literally always in the shadows," she whispered back with a teasing grin, her invisible form making no sound as she moved beside him.

Dark Shadow snickered from within Tokoyami's cloak. "This place is ideal for us."

The villains, however, had set up camp near the "bomb" — a reinforced steel prop resting atop a container — prepared to repel any attack.

"I shall sparkle my way to victory," Aoyama declared confidently.

"You're blinding in this cramped place, tone it down," Ojiro muttered as he crouched low, tail flicking anxiously.

The battle began with a blinding flash — literally. Aoyama shot a piercing naval laser down one corridor, flushing out their opponents. Tokoyami retaliated, sending Dark Shadow swooping low, darting through the passage like a phantom, blocking the beam with a protective swirl of darkness.

Meanwhile, Hagakure darted ahead, nearly silent. She slapped a capture tape around Aoyama's midsection, catching him by surprise.

"Eh? Where did that come from?!"

"Checkmate!" she quipped.

With Aoyama restrained, Ojiro leapt in, spinning with a precision tail kick that knocked Hagakure's tape loose and forced her back. Tokoyami lunged in at the sound, covering her retreat. The ensuing fight was a clash of precision and power. Ojiro's martial arts and tail skill forced Tokoyami to be creative — Dark Shadow flickered in and out of combat, launching feints and disruptive strikes.

Eventually, cornered and disoriented by the changing terrain and constant shadow pressure, Ojiro was caught by Hagakure, who timed a careful tape grapple from above using stacked crates.

Team Heroes secured the bomb.

"Victory: Tokoyami and Hagakure!"

A round of applause followed from the command center. Aizawa scribbled something in his notes while All Might gave a resounding laugh.

"Splendid teamwork and adaptability!"

📺 NEXT MATCH🔷 Team Heroes: Momo Yaoyorozu & Mezo Shoji🔶 Team Villains: Eijiro Kirishima & Mina AshidoLocation: Collapsing Office Building Replica

This time, the terrain was a dilapidated concrete structure filled with debris and hollowed-out rooms. Shoji's arms stretched out, scouting the area like radar as Momo followed with focused precision.

"I'll make sensors to help track them," she said, quickly creating a simple thermal reader from her skin.

Meanwhile, Mina and Kirishima were treating the building like their own playground.

"Let's go loud!" Mina giggled, skating down a ruined hallway on her acid slicks.

"Hell yeah!" Kirishima grinned, hardening his arms and smashing through a wall like a wrecking ball.

Momo and Shoji responded tactically. As Shoji held off Kirishima with multiple arms and muscle control, Momo deployed quick traps and acid-neutralizing foam. Mina's approach was agile but uncoordinated against the tactical duo.

The turning point came when Momo created a makeshift sonic grenade — inspired by her conversations with Daichi earlier in the week — and threw it into a narrow hall where Mina skated. The disorienting sound made Mina stumble, and Shoji snatched her up with ease.

With Mina captured, the two heroes double-teamed Kirishima. Though durable, he couldn't handle the two-pronged assault forever, and eventually they sealed him with binding cloth crafted by Momo.

"Victory: Yaoyorozu and Shoji!"

Daichi grinned from the control room. "That's clever work. She's thinking two steps ahead."

Aizawa nodded slightly. "She'll be a support ace if she keeps that up."

📺 NEXT MATCH🔷 Team Heroes: Kyoka Jiro & Koji Koda🔶 Team Villains: Denki Kaminari & Hanta SeroLocation: Communication Tower Control Room Replica

The setting was a vertical facility filled with cables, metal platforms, and soundproof walls.

Jiro cracked her knuckles. "I'm gonna enjoy this."

Koji Koda simply nodded, whispering to a nearby beetle that had taken residence near the wall.

Sero grinned from high above. "We've got the height. Kaminar—now!"

A wave of electricity surged down from above, crashing through the structure. Jiro's earjacks slammed into the ground, sending a disruptive frequency that neutralized the electrical current before it spread far.

"Cute trick," she muttered, climbing the wall with her cables.

Meanwhile, Koda released a full swarm of summoned insects and birds. They buzzed around like a cloud, overwhelming Sero's line of sight. Despite the chaos, Kaminari launched a final jolt — but he overdid it.

"Ahaha... I'm fried... again," he slurred, his face blank.

With Sero disoriented and Kaminari electro-dumb, Jiro launched a finishing sonic pulse that knocked Sero into a wall. Capture tape followed.

"Victory: Jiro and Koda!"

📺 FINAL MATCH🔷 Team Heroes: Daichi Ishigami & Tenya Iida🔶 Team Villains: Shoto Todoroki & Rikido SatoLocation: Storm Shelter Complex

A silence swept over the viewing gallery. This was the wildcard matchup. Todoroki's abilities were notoriously powerful, and Daichi had gained attention after scoring first in the entrance exam.

Daichi cracked his neck. "So, Iida, thoughts?"

"Let me take the front. You support and coordinate with sound and duplicates."

"On it."

They entered through separate vents — Iida rocketing through a hallway with blinding speed, while Daichi split into three duplicates and climbed into alternate entryways, using echolocation bursts to scan the terrain.

Inside, Todoroki had already frozen a majority of the room — turning it into a glittering ice fortress. Sato stood by the bomb, chewing on a sugar packet.

"We hold this spot. He'll come," Todoroki said coolly.

He was right.

Daichi's duplicates reached different corners and used high-pitched resonant pulses to shatter the thinner ice structures, creating gaps for Iida to zoom through. Todoroki raised his hand, sending a thick glacier wall forward.

One duplicate took the hit and exploded into sound and vapor, causing a ringing dissonance.

Iida zipped around Sato, who tried to grab him but failed due to the terrain. Daichi, using his remaining self, clung to the ceiling and dropped near the bomb, creating a sonic pulse that disturbed Todoroki's cold control briefly.

A clash erupted — ice, speed, and vibration colliding in the frozen chamber. Sato powered up and charged, but Daichi duplicated again, surrounding him in a confusing sound dome.

Eventually, Iida got behind Todoroki and tagged him with a tape grapple. Daichi's last clone disabled Sato by shattering the flooring beneath with focused pulses.

"Victory: Daichi and Iida!"

As the screen dimmed, All Might clapped enthusiastically.

"Outstanding battles! All of you showed great courage, creativity, and teamwork!"

The students returned, flushed from exertion and excitement.

Daichi walked beside Jiro, both still catching their breath from their respective matches.

"Nice pulse throw," she said.

"You too. That was a solid frequency block. You've got serious control."

She nudged him slightly. "Told you talking about sound quirks was helpful."

They chuckled and moved toward the showers, satisfied and exhausted, their bond growing stronger with each trial they faced.

Tomorrow was a new day at U.A. — but the legacy they were building had already begun.
