She can feel her heart hammering, her thoughts spiraling.
"They what? What about them?" Eryx asks, his full attention now locked onto her, every flicker of his gaze sharp with curiosity.
"They've always wanted to be the Moon Goddess's chosen," she says at last, voice low, eyes avoiding his. "The top rank. And since your pack has always stood in their way, they've been trying from this past week.. to bring your pack down. Tonight's the full moon, and they believe if they cause enough chaos, if they make your pack look like a disaster, the Moon Goddess will turn away from you and choose Clawingfang instead. They are trying to force a fight between you and Theo. They want blood, betrayal, disorder... anything to make your pack crack from the inside."
