Chapter 13 - 13

"Agh, they hit the teachers! Hurry to the academic office!"

Some students saw the two teachers get beaten up and quickly ran out.

Asher looked at the situation and slightly curled his lips. This woman was really interesting.

Where did she come from? What was her goal?

Asher didn't believe a woman like her would truly say she liked him.

But there was one thing he could be sure of. Since this woman had come from another world, she probably had no connection to his uncle.

As long as she wasn't one of his uncle's people, then for now, she wasn't his enemy.

Still, it was better to stay away from someone like her. Too many unknowns.

"You useless bunch, stop right now!"

Mr. Dong saw them fighting and even hitting the two teachers, so he rushed to stop them.

He was so angry he wanted to beat these fools himself.

So useless. A bunch of grown men couldn't even take down one woman.

That was just a thought. That woman seemed strong. He didn't dare get close to her.

"Mr. Dong, your people went too far. We're still staff at this school, yet they dared to hit us like this!"

In just a short moment, Mr. Liu had been beaten until his face was swollen like a pig's head.

Thankfully, the group had finally stopped. If they had continued, they might've beaten them to death.

But the worst was Avery. That little brat actually pulled a teacher over to take the hit for her.

"Sorry, Mr. Liu. This is a check for one million. Go get yourself treated."

Mr. Dong didn't want to make the situation worse, so he immediately handed out two checks to the teachers.

"No way, Mr. Dong. Look at my front teeth. They're gone. This kind of injury needs two million at least."

Mr. Zhang had really lost two of his front teeth. Now he couldn't even speak clearly.

Whoever punched him hit him so hard that his teeth flew out.

His lip was swollen, and he'd even taken a punch to the eye. He looked miserable.

Two million might not even cover the medical costs. Just checking the damage would already cost tens of thousands.

And in front of so many students too. He deserved compensation for emotional distress.

"Look at me. My teeth are gone. My eye is swollen. Boo-hoo, this is awful. I'm going to see the principal and file a complaint."

The more Mr. Zhang thought about it, the more wronged he felt. He was already in his fifties and had never been beaten like this before.

"Enough crying. I'll give you the two million."

Mr. Dong quickly wrote another check for him.

"Mr. Dong, he gets two million, and I only get one? That's not fair. We were both beaten by your bodyguards at the same time."

Mr. Liu knew better than to drag Avery into this now. It would just reduce the chance of getting any compensation.

"Fine. Here you go."

Mr. Dong, clearly annoyed, handed him another check.

"No, I want another million. Mr. Liu didn't lose any teeth. I lost two."

Mr. Zhang saw Mr. Liu get another million and immediately started causing trouble again.

"Don't push it. I already gave you both two million. Even if you go complain to the principal, I'm not paying a cent more."

Mr. Dong was getting angry. He had only paid out of courtesy, not fear, but now they were getting greedy.

Even though she had money, she couldn't just let herself be blackmailed. A few punches costing 2 million? Plenty of people would be willing to take that kind of beating.

"Fine, then let's go to the principal's office. After all, it was in the classroom that your bodyguard hit me.

And I didn't even offend you. Out of nowhere, my front teeth got knocked out. Boohoo, it hurts so much."

Teacher Zhang started crying again. Even though teachers at this school earned decent salaries, 1 million was still about a year's income. If they could get more, why not?

"Alright, I'll give you another 1 million. But if you two still disagree, then I'll have my legal team come, and we'll take you to get a medical check. After that, I'll pay according to the actual costs."

If this really got taken to the principal, and the two teachers kept refusing, it would get messy. So Mr. Dong thought about it and decided to pay another 1 million to quickly settle the issue.

The two teachers took the money and quickly left. If they stayed any longer, they'd probably get dragged down by Avery.

"Everyone stay away from her. This time, I want to see if there's still anyone willing to take a beating for her!"

Mr. Dong glared coldly at Avery. He didn't expect this woman to be so capable. No wonder she managed to hurt his daughter.

But now she was all alone. Where could she run?

"Don't make it so dramatic, like some huge disaster is coming. It's just kids messing around. Why treat it so seriously?"

Avery looked at him and smiled lightly, then pulled over a chair and sat down.

"If you can't beat him half to death this time, then all of you useless guys might as well get lost."

Mr. Dong got even angrier seeing how calm she was.

Just as the bodyguards began to move in, the principal arrived with some people.

With so much noise going on, of course he had to show up. If any rich or powerful kids got hurt, it wouldn't end well.

"Mr. Dong, if there's an issue, let's talk about it in my office."

The principal didn't ask any questions, just wanted to take the people away. Some matters shouldn't be handled openly. The school's reputation needed to be protected.

"Alright."

Mr. Dong agreed immediately upon seeing the principal. A seasoned man like him naturally understood the principal's meaning.

Most importantly, this principal wasn't just anyone. He had to show respect.

"Anyone else involved in this, come to my office too."

The principal said this and turned to leave.

But Avery stayed sitting in her chair, not moving at all, as if it had nothing to do with her.

All the other students were surprised. The principal had spoken, and she still dared to ignore him?

Even if she didn't want to keep studying here, the principal's influence in society wasn't something she could resist.

Even Asher started to find her interesting. In this situation, she could still remain so calm. He was genuinely starting to admire her.

"Avery, didn't you hear what the principal said? Do you think you can challenge him?"

Rose saw her still sitting and couldn't help laughing smugly. Her hand didn't even feel that painful anymore.

This idiot really thought her dad would protect her? Dream on.

Now she just wanted to see how the principal would crush her. Even if it didn't kill her, it would at least take half her life.

After all, the principal of this school wasn't someone to mess with. Even high-ranking officials had to bow to him.

And Avery, this foolish girl, dared to challenge him? She was asking for it.
