Chapter 239 - Chapter 240: The Toy-Toy Fruit Acquired

Kaito looked at the soldiers around him, now reduced to sobbing messes, and couldn't help feeling a pang of emotion in his heart.

Doflamingo… this is all your damn fault!

He didn't say much else—only announced that Doflamingo had been arrested. For the soldiers, that alone was the best comfort they could receive.

Sure enough, the moment they heard this, ecstatic smiles bloomed across their tear-streaked faces, and a wave of thunderous cheers erupted. As the cheers subsided, the soldiers suddenly surged toward Kaito.

Kaito raised an eyebrow, puzzled about what they were planning.

A second later, several burly soldiers rushed forward and reached out to touch him.

Naturally, Kaito wasn't about to let that happen. Could you imagine how it feels to be surrounded by a bunch of burly men all eager to put their hands on you?

But when he saw the sincerity in their faces, something stopped him from resisting. And before he knew it, they had lifted him high into the air and were tossing him up.

"Admiral Shikiryū!"

The soldiers shouted his title with fervor, and even the little people who had been watching from the side were swept up in the atmosphere, joining the chorus.

Robin had already quietly stepped aside to give the soldiers space to celebrate with Kaito.

But as she watched him being tossed helplessly into the air, a wry smile tugged at her lips.

The soldiers showed no signs of stopping—they only got more excited, and soon they were throwing Kaito so high he nearly hit the ceiling.

Finally, just as he was about to collide with it, his body transformed into a flash of lightning and reappeared next to Robin.

He shot a glare at the still-giggling Robin, then turned to wave at the soldiers.

"Alright, alright, I get how excited you all are. But I still need to make a trip to the royal palace. Your king, and the little people's princess—they're still locked up in there."

The mention of their princess being held in the palace instantly galvanized the little people. In Robin's arms, Funi looked up at Kaito with hopeful eyes and pleaded,

"Sir, could you please rescue our princess?"

Kaito gave her a gentle smile.

"Of course."

With that, Kaito walked over to the unconscious Sugar and extracted her Toy-Toy Fruit ability, transferring it into a melon stored inside the Door-Door Space.

(Seriously, no idea what this fruit is supposed to look like.)

Once he was done, he placed Sugar into the Door-Door Space as well. Without her powers, she might end up getting a serious beating from the soldiers if left outside.

Having wrapped that up, Kaito returned to Robin's side and took her hand. Smiling at the soldiers and the little people, he said,

"Well then, until we meet again. Get ready to welcome back your king and your princess."

As he finished speaking, Kaito and Robin vanished from sight.

...

Inside the palace, Monet was pacing nervously. Since Law wasn't around, her limbs hadn't yet been modified into wings or bird talons.

She had already learned from Dellinger that the Navy Admiral Shikiryū had arrived, and that Doflamingo was gone.

Suddenly, Kaito and Robin appeared in the room. Monet froze for a moment, then looked at Kaito in shock.

Thanks to Doflamingo, she knew Kaito's appearance by heart. Now, seeing him here and with no sign of Doflamingo, a dreadful thought crept into her mind.

Her voice trembled as she asked,

"Admiral Shikiryū? Where is the Young Master?"

Kaito didn't respond. He simply opened the Door-Door Space and placed Sugar gently on the floor.

When Monet saw her sister lying motionless, she cried out,

"Sister!"

Kaito, seeing the expression on Monet's face, immediately understood that she thought he had killed Sugar. He explained,

"Doflamingo's been arrested. This little one just fainted from fear. You can choose to take her and leave—or join Doflamingo in prison."

Monet and Sugar were sisters with tragic pasts, and Kaito didn't want any more unnecessary killing.

Hearing that Sugar was unharmed, Monet visibly relaxed, though she remained silent.

By all logic, with her Young Master arrested, she should be fighting Kaito with everything she had. But when it came to her little sister, she knew she couldn't afford to do that.

Besides, it was clear that Kaito had shown mercy to Sugar. That alone was a huge favor.

After a long pause, Monet finally said softly,

"Alright. Thank you, Admiral Shikiryū, for sparing her. I'll leave with Sugar right away."

She quietly approached her sister, knelt down to confirm she was merely unconscious, and finally felt the weight lift from her chest.

Cradling Sugar in her arms, Monet gave Kaito a small bow and started heading for the palace doors.

But as she passed by him, her nerves were wound tight. It wasn't until she reached the palace entrance that she let out a long sigh of relief.

Her clothes were soaked with cold sweat. Though she'd heard countless stories from Doflamingo about how terrifying Admiral Shikiryū was, it wasn't until facing him directly that she truly understood why he inspired such fear.

That overwhelming pressure was absolutely suffocating.

Thinking back on her earlier impulse to fight him, Monet let out a bitter, self-mocking laugh. Then she turned into a swirl of snowflakes, carrying Sugar into the sky.

...

Robin watched Monet depart, then turned to Kaito and teased,

"Master, Monet's quite the beauty. You're just going to let her go?"

Kaito rolled his purple eyes, reached out, and pinched Robin's nose with a scolding tone.

"You! What goes on in that head of yours all day?"

"I'm just thinking about what's best for you, Master!"

"Look me in the eye and tell me you believe that."

Robin immediately pressed a hand solemnly to her ample chest and replied with utmost seriousness,

"I believe it!"

Kaito was speechless. He gave her nose a firmer pinch as punishment before snapping his fingers.

The ROOM space expanded, covering the entirety of the King's Plateau.

He then located King Riku and Princess Mansherry's positions and used a swap technique to bring them directly into the palace.

The two appeared with bewildered expressions. It took a moment before King Riku, a monarch with decades of experience, realized what was going on. He recognized the young man with strange eyes in front of him—the legendary Navy Admiral, Uchiha Kaito.

But before he could say anything, a voice suddenly called out from the palace entrance.

"Your Majesty!"

Everyone turned to look.

There stood a muscular man with only one leg—Kyros, who had just arrived. Behind him was a group of people, including soldiers whom Kaito had rescued from the factory.

Kyros had already learned from the soldiers that Kaito had arrested Doflamingo. It was thanks to him that they had all returned to normal.

So, when he saw Kaito, Kyros leapt forward with all his strength, landing with a thud as he prostrated himself on the ground, shouting in a choked voice,

"Thank you, Admiral Shikiryū!"

Looking at the man sprawled on the ground, Kaito couldn't help but feel a bit exasperated.

Why does everyone insist on thanking me by falling to their knees?!
