"You want to be Hokage!?"
Tsunade's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Kaito.
Kaito spread his hands casually and said,
"Why not? As far as I know, no Uchiha has ever been Hokage before. Is it because they weren't strong enough, or is it because…"
His Mangekyō Sharingan spun open as he locked eyes with Tsunade.
"…someone deliberately excluded the Uchiha?"
The temperature in the room plummeted instantly. Tsunade clenched her fists tightly but didn't dare meet his gaze.
"Are you joking? The village advisers will never agree to this!"
"Advisers? You mean Mitokado Homura and Koharu Utatane?"
Kaito snapped his fingers. Three ghostly dog heads materialized, and two of them spewed out piles of ash before fading into nothing.
Tsunade stared blankly at the ashes on the floor, her voice filled with confusion.
"…What is this?"
"Those advisers you mentioned. I've already cremated them for you."
"Nani!?"
Tsunade turned sharply toward Naruto. Naruto silently gave her a confirming nod.
"You dare—"
"Hmm?"
Kaito arched a brow as Susanoo's spectral form loomed behind him, its cold gaze bearing down on Tsunade.
Her body froze. Just as she was at a loss for how to respond, Shikaku and the other clan heads arrived.
They cast wary glances at Kaito before slowly moving to Tsunade's side.
Shikaku spoke first.
"Hokage-sama, what's going on here?"
"Uchiha Kaito wants to become Hokage."
"Nani!?"
The clan heads stiffened on the spot. Uchiha, as Hokage? What kind of joke was this?
In Konoha, the Hokage could be a commoner, or from a noble clan—anyone but an Uchiha.
To most, the Uchiha were arrogant, prideful, and prone to madness. Uchiha Madara had been the ultimate proof of that.
How could someone from such a family possibly be Hokage?
Shikaku almost voiced his opposition immediately—but when he met Kaito's crimson Mangekyō, the words died in his throat.
He realized with despair that without Jiraiya present, Konoha didn't have the strength to oppose Kaito.
Even if every clan threw their full power into stopping him, the casualties would be catastrophic.
The other clan leaders knew it too, and they all fell silent.
Kaito's gaze swept across their faces, a cold smirk curling at his lips.
"Not saying anything? Looks like you all have opinions about the Uchiha."
Hum!
A crushing wave of pressure burst from Kaito, crackling with lightning. The entire Hokage Tower shook violently.
Everyone except Naruto collapsed to their knees instantly.
Tsunade fought with all her strength to rise, but she couldn't even lift a finger. She could only crawl before Kaito like the others.
The humiliation burned her deeply. She bit her lip until blood trickled down her chin.
Naruto blinked in confusion at the sight of all the village leaders kneeling. He wondered if he should kneel too.
But he remembered what Kaito had once told him:
"Don't kneel to anyone so easily."
So in the end, he just sat there, watching silently.
Kaito rose slowly from his chair and walked to stand before Tsunade.
Looking down coldly at the gathered Konoha leaders, he declared,
"From this day forth, I, Uchiha Kaito, am the Sixth Hokage of Konoha."
His voice carried through the air, amplified by his magnetic field, echoing across every corner of the village.
Everyone turned toward the Hokage Tower, stunned. Everything that had happened today was so outrageous, it felt like a dream.
Tsunade, still pressed to the floor, forced the words out one by one,
"What do you take the title of Hokage for? It has always been said—the Hokage is the one recognized by everyone!"
Kaito gave her a strange look and replied,
"Did you know… those words were mine to begin with?"
"..."
Tsunade fell into stunned silence.
But Shikaku, unwilling to give up, added,
"The Fire Daimyō will never acknowledge your claim as Hokage!"
"Is that so? Then I suppose the Daimyō no longer needs to exist."
Zzzt!
Kaito vanished in a flash of lightning.
Even after his disappearance, the crushing aura he left behind pinned everyone to the floor, unable to rise.
A short while later, he returned—holding a freshly severed, bloody head in his hand.
He tossed it at Shikaku's feet and said,
"This is the Fire Daimyō you mentioned. I asked him just now, and sure enough, he refused to accept me as Hokage. So, I sent him to hell to think it over."
Shikaku stared blankly at the head. The arrogant expression frozen on its face made it all too easy to imagine how the Daimyō had spoken to Kaito moments before his death.
Shikaku's heart sank. In a way, the Daimyō's death was his fault—his single sentence had provoked this outcome.
Hiashi Hyūga kept his head bowed the entire time, never once showing defiance.
He was utterly shaken by the overwhelming might of the Sharingan.
For generations, the Hyūga and Uchiha had been Konoha's two great clans. Both prided themselves on their dōjutsu, often clashing over which eyes were truly the strongest.
But today, after witnessing Kaito's Susanoo and his terrifying ocular powers, Hiashi realized just how vast the gap was between the Byakugan and the Sharingan—at least, the Mangekyō.
His thoughts drifted to ancient records about the "Tenseigan."
If the Sharingan could evolve from three tomoe into the Mangekyō, could the Byakugan evolve as well?
The theory was grand, but reality was merciless.
There were no records in the clan of how to awaken the Tenseigan—only that it existed.
Hiashi sighed quietly, burying his doubts.
For the Hyūga, it hardly mattered who became Hokage. Their Byakugan always ensured them an irreplaceable role in wartime, and the village leadership rarely troubled them.
The other leaders, however, were completely cowed by the sight of the severed head. None dared to utter another word of opposition.
Naruto, meanwhile, sat there wide-eyed, thinking to himself:
"So… you can just become Hokage like this?!"
Kaito smiled faintly.
In that instant, the suffocating pressure blanketing the Hokage Tower dissipated.
The others felt a sudden lightness in their bodies and cautiously rose to their feet, though their eyes still held only fear.
Kaito looked utterly calm as he turned to the Hokage Monument outside the window and said softly,
"One week from now, I want to see my face carved there."
