Chapter 468 - Chapter 469: Vados’s Wish

Before him floated a crimson planet — the last Super Dragon Ball.

Having already absorbed the power of six others, Kaito could now sense its position himself, so Bulma no longer needed to build a Dragon Radar.

The illusion concealing this Dragon Ball meant nothing to him. A golden gleam flashed across Kaito's eyes, and the rocky crust shrouding the sphere exploded apart, revealing the Super Dragon Ball's true form.

With another Sukunahikona, the massive Dragon Ball shrank to the size of an ordinary one and drifted behind Kaito's back.

At last, the final Dragon Ball was in place.

The dragon-shaped tattoo on Kaito's chest solidified, and from behind him, the phantom of the Super Shenron emerged. In that moment, Kaito truly ascended to the divine seat of the Dragon God.

Vados curiously extended a finger to poke the dragon tattoo on his chest. To her surprise, the mark seemed alive—it twisted slightly, dodging her touch.

Kaito caught her hand, smiling.

"Now I really am the Dragon God. How about it? Do you want to make a wish? Anything you want."

Aside from killing the Omni-King, there was truly nothing beyond Kaito's power now. Even erasing every universe in an instant would be as simple as a passing thought.

If he willed it, he could create new universes just as easily.

That was the divine authority of the Dragon God—the supreme power of creation and destruction.

Vados blinked a few times and asked softly,

"Anything at all?"

Kaito replied with a confident smile,

"Of course. Go on—say your wish."

"Hmm... then, can I wish for you?"

"Uh..."

A sly smile curved across Vados's lips as she teased,

"What's wrong? Is this wish too difficult for our great Dragon God-sama?"

"It's not difficult," Kaito chuckled. "But you're a bit greedy, little angel—you're actually setting your sights on me now?"

Vados nestled against his chest, her voice muffled and tender.

"You're cheating. I spent years helping you collect all those Dragon Balls, and now they're yours. On Earth, there's something called a dowry—those six Dragon Balls were mine. You accepted them, so you can't go back on it!"

"Wait, what? Why didn't you say that earlier?"

Vados suddenly lifted her head, eyes full of mock resentment.

"What? If I'd said so, you wouldn't have accepted them? Do you hate me that much?"

"How could I?" Kaito laughed. "That's a simple wish. This god shall grant it right now!"

He snapped his fingers. A burst of radiant, multicolored light enveloped the two, and in the next moment, they vanished into the void of space.

...

Inside a swirling realm of color, Kaito gently caressed Vados's cheek and murmured,

"How about this place for our bridal chamber?"

This was his divine domain—his private space as Dragon God. Nothing that occurred here could ever be seen or known, not even by the Grand Priest's staff.

Vados wrapped her arms around him and answered softly,

"Of course. I'm very satisfied."

Kaito said nothing more. He lowered his head and kissed her.

The rainbow light in the space grew dazzlingly bright, swallowing the two of them whole.

...

When they returned to their home on Earth, Marcarita stared at Vados suspiciously, glancing her up and down until Vados finally snapped, flustered.

"Have you looked enough already? Do I look any different to you?!"

Marcarita folded her arms.

"Hmm... you do seem a little different. So, tell me—did something happen between you and Kaito?"

Vados froze for a moment, then shot a quick glance toward Eighteen's room before hastily clapping a hand over Marcarita's mouth.

"What nonsense are you spouting? I just took Kaito to get the last Super Dragon Ball!"

But that reaction only confirmed Marcarita's suspicion. Her eyes gleamed mischievously as she muttered,

"Why so nervous? I'm not a child, you know. So that means... Kaito's my brother-in-law now?"

Vados's face turned crimson. She wished she could sew Marcarita's mouth shut right there.

But Marcarita kept going.

"With your speed, traveling back and forth between the Sixth and Seventh Universes shouldn't take that long... you two really—"

"Marcarita! Say one more word and I'll have Kaito deal with you!"

"...Fine! You win! I'll shut up, okay? But I still have one more question!"

"What is it?"

"When you were with him... did brother-in-law pull your high ponytail? He seems to have a thing for those!"

Steam almost burst out of Vados's head. Clenching her fists, she growled through gritted teeth,

"Mar—ca—ri—ta!"

Seeing Vados on the verge of exploding, Marcarita finally fell silent—though an indecent image had already formed in her mind.

After holding back for a long moment, Vados barked,

"From today, you're banned from watching dramas for seven days!"

That hit Marcarita right where it hurt. Her eyes widened in horror.

"What?! Give me a reason!"

"Just look at what you've learned from those shows! For the next seven days, you can only watch the news!"

"No way! Human news is so boring! I want my dramas!"

Vados ignored her pleas. With a snap of her fingers, a small remote appeared in her hand. She tucked it into her chest and turned away.

Marcarita instantly regretted not grabbing control of the remote first!

Her favorite show was about to start soon, and now she was panicking like a cat on a hot stove, pacing back and forth in the living room.

Just then, Kaito came down the stairs and saw her spinning around.

"Marcarita, what are you doing? Did your show already end?"

The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up like she'd found salvation. She threw herself into his arms.

"Kaito! Vados bullied me! She confiscated my remote!"

By now, Marcarita was completely comfortable around him. She pressed herself against Kaito, rubbing her head against his chest.

Her twin ponytails brushed under his chin, tickling him. Kaito held her shoulders down with one hand and said,

"Calm down first. Tell me—why did Vados take your remote? Did you make her angry again?"

"I was just telling the truth! She's the one being petty!"

At that moment, Vados appeared at the bottom of the stairs, arms crossed, looking annoyed.

"Kaito, don't listen to her nonsense! You have no idea what she just said!"

Kaito's curiosity was piqued.

"Oh? What did she say?"

Vados froze, her hand instinctively touching her high ponytail.

"N-Nothing!" she blurted, then turned and hurried away, leaving Kaito standing there utterly confused.
