Kaito looked at the Grand Priest with a strange expression. For some reason, it felt like the Grand Priest was giving away his daughters—two of them, at once.
The Grand Priest seemed to catch his thoughts and said calmly,
"It is the duty of our angelic race to serve, Dragon God-sama. Please don't misunderstand."
What else could Kaito say? Getting two angels for free was already a massive gain—he'd be a fool to complain about such fortune.
Having two angelic bodyguards was, frankly, quite a pleasant thing.
The Omni-King blinked his eyes and asked curiously,
"Then what about Universe Six and Universe Eleven? Are we just leaving the angel positions empty?"
The Grand Priest maintained his polite smile and said to him,
"Omni-King-sama, why not merge Universes Six, Seven, and Eleven into one? Let the Dragon God oversee them together. You've often complained there are too many universes, haven't you? This way, it'll be less trouble for you."
From Kaito's point of view, this was clearly a move that would divide the Omni-King's authority—giving some of it to a 'potentially threatening' vassal like himself. If the Omni-King wasn't an idiot, there was no way he'd agree.
But to Kaito's surprise, the Omni-King agreed immediately. He raised his small hand and said cheerfully,
"Sure, sure! Let's do it your way!"
Kaito once again began to doubt whether that football-shaped head of the Omni-King's had really been hit by Zarama's hammer. If that were true, maybe he should thank his predecessor—it sure saved him a lot of unnecessary trouble.
Beerus pointed at himself and asked weakly,
"Um… what about me, my lords?"
The Grand Priest waved his hand and replied,
"You will retain your position as God of Destruction. The other two Gods of Destruction will remain as well. The merged universe will be vast—one Destroyer alone won't be enough."
Then he turned to Whis, who had been quietly watching the show, and continued,
"Whis, I hereby appoint you as Grand Angel. You will be responsible for overseeing the three Destroyers' affairs and daily supervision."
"Ah???"
Whis froze on the spot, feeling as though he'd been hit by a stray bullet.
"Grand Angel" sounded fancy, but in reality, it was just a glorified babysitter.
He had it easy looking after just Beerus—he could even take a nap or play with a cat once in a while. But add Champa into the mix? That was pure chaos.
Those two brothers would definitely fight every single day. It was going to be a nightmare.
And to make things worse, now he'd have to deal with that creepy clown, too. Whis's future looked bleak.
Vados, his ever-sly sister, added with a teasing smile,
"Congratulations, Whis. You're a Grand Angel now—such a promotion!"
"..."
Whis was speechless. But unlike Vados, he didn't dare be cheeky in front of the Grand Priest and the Omni-King. His face twitched a few times before he forced a smile and said,
"Thank you for your trust, Father. I will not disappoint you."
The Grand Priest nodded with satisfaction. In his eyes, everything had turned out perfectly—he'd preserved the universe's balance, fulfilled his daughters' wishes, and even promoted his son. Could there be a better outcome?
The Omni-King remained quiet throughout the process. He was never fond of handling such matters anyway. If this were Earth, he'd be the type of ruler who sits back and lets others do the work, while the Grand Priest served as the true regent.
The happiest ones by far were the angel sisters, Vados and Marcarita.
Vados bowed slightly to Kaito with a smile.
"From now on, we'll be in your care, Dragon God-sama."
Marcarita followed her sister's lead. Her large eyes curved like crescent moons, the joy on her face impossible to hide.
After speaking, both angels sat down close to Kaito. The scene looked perfectly harmonious.
The Grand Priest's face softened into a fatherly smile. Rising from the sofa, he turned to the Omni-King and said,
"Omni-King-sama, we should be heading back."
The Omni-King's small face drooped as he pouted in rare defiance,
"I don't want to go back yet! We just got here, and I haven't played with anything fun! You've all just been talking, talking, talking—so boring!"
"Uh..."
The Grand Priest froze for a moment. He had planned today's matters in advance, but he hadn't expected this sudden fit of childish stubbornness.
Swallowing hard, he asked cautiously,
"That was my oversight, Omni-King-sama. May I ask… what would you like to play?"
The Omni-King turned his head and folded his arms.
"How should I know? Didn't you say Earth has lots of fun things? Where are they?"
A bead of cold sweat rolled down the Grand Priest's forehead. What he meant earlier had simply been to bring the Omni-King here so he could deal with Kaito and his daughters' situation.
He hadn't actually planned to entertain him on Earth—and having never been here himself, he had no idea what was fun to do.
Now he looked like a desperate parent unable to handle a spoiled child.
Inwardly exasperated, the Grand Priest glanced at Kaito, who was casually munching on snacks nearby. Rage bubbled in his chest.
I came all this way to arrange things for you—gave you official status, even my two daughters—and now that I'm in trouble, you just sit there eating popcorn?!
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Finally, the Grand Priest decided to shift the problem away. He turned sharply toward Kaito and said in a low voice,
"Dragon God-sama, the Omni-King wishes to know what's fun on Earth. Since this planet is your territory, shouldn't you, as the host, offer some suggestions?"
The Omni-King immediately turned to look at Kaito, his tiny eyes shining with exaggerated "wisdom."
Kaito's mouth twitched twice. He had zero experience dealing with children.
Still, the Omni-King was far more tolerable than that brat—just maddeningly unpredictable.
After thinking for a moment, Kaito managed to say,
"How about… we go to an amusement park?"
The Omni-King tilted his head curiously, pressing a finger to his lips.
"Amusement park? What kind of fun is there?"
"Uh… horse rides? Goldfish scooping? Have you tried those?"
Kaito had wanted to say roller coasters, but then realized—someone like the Omni-King wouldn't be afraid of heights. To him, a roller coaster was probably no different from a kiddie ride.
The Omni-King floated up from the sofa, spun around a few times in midair, then dove into Kaito's arms with a grin.
"That sounds fun! Let's go to the amusement park!"
Kaito and the Grand Priest exchanged a look.
Both of their expressions held the same helpless resignation.
